Chasing After My Wife Chapter 274

When her teacher fell, Jillyanna didn't give her another second to move. She immediately sat on her teacher's stomach with a victorious smile.
Her fist was placed on her teacher's chest who was lying still with her eyes closed. "If I throw a punch on this place, I could break your chest cavity, pop your heart and leave you dead. However, you are not my enemy so I don't need to do it."
Her teacher smiled at her words and opened her eyes. There, Jillyanna saw the most beautiful eyes she'd ever seen in her entire life. It was bluish-green with a brown specks on her eye ring.
Jillyanna blinked her eyes and leaned closer to see it clearly. "What are you looking at?" Her teacher asked which made Jillyanna realize that she was being rude.
"Teacher..y-you..you aren't blind?" she whispered hesitantly knowing her question was rather sensitive but she couldn't really stop herself because that was the first time she saw her open her beautiful eyes.
"I'm not."
"Then why did you keep closing your eyes? It's such a beautiful pair of eyes yet you chose to hide it."
"It's for the same reason that I chose to hide it. Many people wanted me to die so they could get my eyes. They've envied such colors for its rarity but for me, it's a curse." she pushed herself up using her elbows but Jillyanna didn't have any intention of getting up yet. "Sigh. Until when are you going to sit on top of me?"
"Until you declare my victory."
"Fine. You won. Get off me now so we can get you treated and get the things you wanted." she closed her eyes again, not letting anyone see her eyes.

Jillyanna get off from her and helped her stand by pulling her hand. "What a boring fight! Ever since you guys spar from years ago until now, this is the most boring fight." Winter exclaimed, rolling her eyes in the process while she took a step towards them.
For her it was boring because she had seen them fought hundred of time since years ago. For the other girls, it was amazing because that was the first time they watched an intense fight between a student and their teacher.
"Why did you end it so quickly? I was just getting excited and poof! It's over!" Winter complained to the both of them when the other audience just kept quite.
"My dear Winter, in case you have forgotten, I'm reminding you that I am pregnant. I can't take it for too long for the sake of my baby." Jillyanna spoke which silenced the entire hall before it erupted with whispers and murmurs.
"She's pregnant?! Oh my goodness! She's definitely crazy for executing that move which might put her child in danger."
"If that was how she fought because of her pregnancy, how did she fight before?"
"No wonder she only made a single kick during the entire duration of their fight. She wasn't being careless but careful instead."
"Now I know why she asked our teacher not to hit her stomach and waist. It's for her baby."
"If I remember correctly, she's Jillyanna the best student of our teacher who left this place years ago."
"Oh! She's that woman in the picture frame which was displayed in our meeting hall."
"She's amazing."
Jillyanna received high praises from the ladies but they didn't know how much she suffered. After that fight, Jillyanna went back inside the room where she and Winter stayed.

When she removed her jacket, her arms were bruised and there were faint bruises on her thighs as well. "Ooppsie..Looks like we'll stay here for a bit more." she joked to herself while checking her body.
Not long after, their teacher came in with different kinds of herbs. She placed them on the drawer and checked Jillyanna herself.
"Looks bad." she commented before asking her to lie on the bed with her back. "I've got new herbal oil which is good for bruises. It should heal you within three days."
"Teacher, you told me that your eyes is a curse. What do you mean by that?" Jillyanna asked the question that she wanted to ask earlier.
"As I've said, many people wanted to get these eyes from me. They don't care if they had to kill me or if they can buy my eyes as long as they could get their hands on these. They killed my parents because they were an obstruction to their plan. They killed my older siblings because they hid me away from anyone. Because of my eyes, I lost everyone who's dear to me."
"I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't mean to bring back the sad memories but I was just curious why you acted as if you were blind." Jillyanna apologized while allowing the woman to rub the oil on her arms and thighs.
Winter just listened to their conversation, keeping her opinion to herself. She didn't know either that their teacher can actually see. In Jillyanna's point of view, it was really beautiful but now, their teacher closed her eyes again and Winter didn't get the chance to see it.
"Teacher, I'm curious too. Can I see your eyes?" Winter asked her when she was done helping Jillyanna with her bruises.
She opened her eyes and let Winter see it for herself. "It's indeed pretty." Winter commented, clearly mesmerized by the beautiful eyes but she didn't envy them. She didn't want to possess such beauty and be killed because of it.
Back at the hospital, it was around 6 o'clock in the morning when Travis opened his eyes but the only person inside the room was a man who was typing something on his laptop.,
"Who are you?" his raspy voice could be heard barely but Valkyrie who came to guard him the night before was still startled.
"Travis? You're awake?" Valkyrie immediately pressed the button on his bedside to call the doctor since it was his first time to see him awake. "Are you feeling dizzy or hurting anywhere?"
He was worried for him but the man was staring blankly towards him.
