Chasing After My Wife Chapter 231

Their sweet atmosphere was opposite to the atmosphere in Winter's rented apartment. When they got back after the accident, Valkyrie insisted to stay with Brown.
Winter, being the sensitive person, she knew that everyone was rooting for Valkyrie and Brown. She didn't want to be the evil Queen who was separating the lovers so she left and moved to a different place.
"You are still here?" Brown asked Valkyrie when he got back from the 4 that he was monitoring.
"For a week now, I am telling you that I won't go anywhere." Valkyrie responded firmly. He was currently making dinner for the two of them. Even though Brown wanted him to go, they would still end up eating together.
"I really suggest that you leave. I am here for a mission and I don't want you to get involve. You are on vacation leave, am I right?"
"Yup. That is why I am here to take care of you during my one month vacation."
"You are hopeless. What else should I do to make you stop?"
"Tell me that you like me."
Instead of saying anything, Brown left him and went inside his room to change clothes. Valkyrie just smiled, happy that he didn't deny or agree. For him, it was still a chance that he can take.
Every night, Brown would lock his door to keep a certain someone out of his room. Every morning, he would still wake up with the person in his arms. "Get off me already. I need to work." he removed Valkyrie's hand from his waist and slid out of his bed. "And stop coming to my room."
"If you can win me in a fight, I will stop." Valkyrie told him making him even more frustrated. He was asking the impossible!

Brown decided to just ignore him and went to the bathroom to take a shower. He's got less than a month before Jillyanna would take over their mission and kill everyone. He didn't want that to happen so he needed to work as fast as he can.
Valkyrie went out of the room and started preparing their breakfast before Brown finished his shower. He made him a fried rice and prepared some beacons and eggs for him. After that, he made a bento for his lunch.
"Aren't you tired of doing this?" Brown asked him when he came out with a new set of clothes and a towel slung over his neck.
"Nope. If it is for you, I wouldn't be tired." Valkyrie answered shamelessly in front of him. "How about you? Aren't you tired of running away from me?"
"Not really. If I can really run away from you, I will consider it an achievement." Brown answered him honestly. After all, he had been preparing himself to stay as far as he can from him. Sad to say, Valkyrie ruined all his plan.
Valkyrie wanted to say something but a phone call interrupted his thoughts. It was his father calling him. "Hey Dad! What's up?"
Brown stiffened when he heard him talking to his father. He was looking at Valkyrie, face paled and devoid of expressions.
"Why didn't you come home when you are on vacation? Are you forgetting your home? Where's Evan?" Dr. Anderson asked him consecutively without any room for breathing.
"I am on vacation but Evan is not. He is still on a mission and I am with him right now to accompany him. I- "
'Toot! Toot! Toot!' the call ended and no matter how many times he called his father again, no one answered it. "He turned off his phone." His nonchalant behavior was opposite to how Brown felt.

He was horrified! He felt horrible for cohabiting with his son. He felt guilty. With trembling hands, he wiped the towel on his head to dry his hair. His actions were faster than usual.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Valkyrie asked him when they ate their breakfast together. Brown was still silent and he shoved spoonful of food on his mouth from time to time. "Are you angry that I told Dad about us staying together?" Still there was no response. Valkyrie put down his spoon and fork while watching Brown eat in front of him silently.
Until he finished eating his food, there was no word from him. He cleaned his dishes and wiped his hands under the watchful gaze of Valkyrie.
'Oh? You won't talk to me? Let's see.' he was talking to himself as he stride towards Brown's room where he saw him preparing his bag for work. Without any warning, he caught hold of Brown's shoulders, turned him around to face him before burying his face at the base of his neck and nibbled his tender skin.
"Fuxk you Matt! Nggh! Get...away..from me..." his words slurred at the end from the pain and pleasure he was feeling. He could feel the heat rushing from his foot to his face, some were pooling at the certain part that he never wanted to wake up. 'I hate my body so much.' he thought to herself while wiping the tears that were hanging on his lashes.
Valkyrie pushed him a little to see his work. Satisfied, a smile appeared on his lips. "That is your punishment for not talking to me."
Brown just watched him with unreadable expressions before picking up his bag and left the apartment for work. Valkyrie was still rooted in the same place before he realized what mistake he committed.
"Damn it! Idiot! What have I done?!" he cursed himself repeatedly.
Even though they didn't exchange any words when he left, Brown didn't forget to take the bento that Valkyrie prepared for him because he didn't want to faint from hunger and he didn't want to eat the food prepared in the laboratory.
'What an idiot!' he mocked himself while walking towards the laboratory building. 'I don't know what else to do. Well, his father might come knocking to take him back. It would be great if he would. Even if I miss these moments, I won't drag him down with me.'

Keeper
When I first woke up I knew only three things: My name is Reiza, I have a seed I need to care for, and a song. I was told that the forest I woke up in was mine and that I needed to take control of it and protect it. The only things standing in my way are nature itself, a bunch of strange floating boxes, and a group of crazy powerful creatures known as the forest queens. Sounds pretty simple right? It might be if it weren't for the fact that I have absolutely zero memory, but hey at least I know my name. Also apparently my enemies aren't only inside the forest. Forces from the outside got news that somthing was going down in my new home and are coming to crash my party. Can I claim this forest? Can I protect it? And most importantly can I figure out who I am and what's going on? I'm not sure but I'm going to try. Hey everyone I'm fairly new to writing novles and this is my first time ever putting my work on a site like this one. I hope you enjoy the story and would appreciate your feedback. I would ask that you read through at least a couple of chapters before leaving a rating. I know I have some trouble with grammer and how I structure some of my sentences and while feedback on that is appreciated what I would value most is feedback on the story as a whole in terms of how the plot works and if you are enjoying it or not.
