Chasing After My Wife Chapter 204

After getting all the things they needed for the gifts as well as the bags of groceries, the seven of them returned home with the body guards following behind them.
"I am so excited to see Lieutenant Colonel's reaction." Valkyrie stated before he continued humming Jillyanna's song. "It's payback for always hindering me and Evan. Hahaha" he laughed so hard that Brown elbowed him on his side.
"I never expected that after years, she would still have the same reaction when she saw Gabriel." Hawk commented while driving. Since Winter left, he was assigned to drive the SUV and with him was Brown, Valkyrie and Savannah.
"It is more like a reflex to her." Savannah stated. Her grin was wide that you could tell she has really happy with Winter's schadenfreude.
Brown didn't speak anything about Winter. He didn't know what her relationship with their Brigadier General and he didn't want her to get hurt again. He had listened to the whole story of her lover's betrayal and he didn't want that to happen to her the second time. However, he could see that Gabriel was serious in pursuing her. It had been years but he never stopped.
Meanwhile...
"I didn't know Winter has a man." Jillyanna commented to no one in particular but she glanced at Gabriel who was sitting at the back while fiddling on his phone. "I don't think you were the one who betrayed her though." This time, it was directed to Gabriel.
"Of course it wasn't me. I will never hurt Winter no matter what." Gabriel replied. "Although she forgot our promise and fall in love to someone else." this last statement was said in a whisper and Jillyanna didn't hear it clearly. She didn't clarify it as well since it wasn't her business.

"Hubby, what time will we leave tomorrow?" Jillyanna asked Travis who was driving their car back to the mansion.
Because of what she called him, his mind received a shock and he stepped on the brake accidentally, stopping their car abruptly on the road. It was a good thing that they were no longer in the city or he would've caused and accident.
"Why did you brake suddenly? What's the matter?" Jillyanna asked looking at his face before looking outside the car to see if they hit someone. "I don't see any problem."
"The problem is here." Travis took hold of her left hand and placed it on his chest. "I received a shock and had to stop."
"What shock are you talking about?" Jillyanna was so confused and she was frowning, feeling the beat of his heart.
"What did you call me earlier?" Travis asked her.
"Hubby?"
"That shocked me." Travis responded with a smile before driving the car again.
"Geez! Stop flirting in front of me." Gabriel commented to the two of them. Jillyanna just looked at him and grinned mischievously.
Instead of taking her hand away from Travis, she pulled his right hand and intertwined their fingers, placing it in between their seats, right in front of Gabriel.
"Hubby, let's leave around 10 o'clock tomorrow morning." Jillyanna commented. She made sure that she sounded flirty and looked adorable at the same time. It was to make the other man feel jealous because he was single.
"Hn. Let's leave at that time. However, I'll wake up early to prepare the things." Travis replied to her with a sweet smile.
"Prepare it inside the room. You know you can't leave me if I am not awake yet."

"I know. I'll bring everything upstairs later. Do you have anything to do in the afternoon?"
"Hn. I'll be spending time with Savannah. There's something I needed to do with her."
"It is really difficult to be a third wheel." Gabriel commented which made Jillyanna laugh so hard. "I really need to work hard."
"I wish you luck with Winter." she told him cheerfully. Of course, she wanted Winter to be happy. Travis trusted Gabriel and she trusted whatever choice Travis made.
When they all got home, Thomas was just walking down the stairs to supervise their lunch. "Gabriel! It is nice to see you. I am glad you could make it."
"Hi uncle. How are you doing? I heard you had a heart attack recently." Gabriel asked while observing the man in front of him.
"I am doing fine. I was so surprised and happy that time. No need to worry now. I am taking care of myself properly to see my grandchild." Thomas replied happily as he led him to the couch.
Gabriel looked at Travis before shifting his gaze to Jillyanna. "You are pregnant?"
"Yup."
"How long?"
"2 months now."
"You are pregnant and you fought?! I don't know what to say." Gabriel blinked his eyes while watching her with awe. "I can't believe it. You look so nimble in the video. Winter even said that you were slower compared to your usual form. Now I know. You are pregnant."
"I am amazing, right?" Jillyanna asked with a grin on her face but she sounded nonchalant instead of happy.
"It won't happen again." Travis stated beside Jillyanna.
Savannah went to the kitchen to check their lunch and found everything was almost set. "Lunch is ready. Let's all eat so that you can talk after." she called out to them.
They were having their lunch happily when Gabriel noticed an empty seat and a certain someone was missing.
"Where's Winter?" she asked the house servant who passed by him.
"Ms. Winter brought her food upstairs because she needed to do something."
Gabriel just nodded his head and continued eating. He was worries that she skipped lunch because of him but knowing that she brought food upstairs, his worry was washed away.
"Good luck with Winter Gab. I'm rooting for you." Thomas stated which made Gabriel raises his head and looked at the man. "She may have forgotten but my place doesn't. Use this opportunity to bring back the cheerful Winter."
"Thank you uncle."

The Casual
Notice: On hiatus. *profanity tag added just in case a bit of swearing is required, but I'll try to keep it as profanity-lite as possible* RealWorldIII came with the motto "Bringing the imagination back into the gaming" with an innovative skill combination system that promises to create unique (see: not-actually-unique) characters tailored to each player's preferences (see: we-swear-it's-not-random) Alex is a random guy with the motto "Well... whatever" with a history of being at the top of the gaming scene (see: he was a kid back then) that after twenty years of working for daily necessities finds himself facing a tough dilemma: do I go back to being a corporate slave, or do I gain money by playing a game no questions asked? (see: not really a dilemma) The only question is, can an actual "casual", even if ex-pro, survive constantly playing a game? or will he end banging his head on the wall? The story will unfold mainly in-game, with little if any real life events happening.

Zeke Herald, Goblin Slayer
Zeke wakes up inside a small cavemouth, no memories or direction, just the will to live. Also, he's smack dab in the middle of a forest that's teeming with ugly little goblins. The only good goblin is one with a sword sticking out of it, as my father used to say. I tried to incorperate LitRPG elements. I'm only recently introduced to the genre, but I find it really fasinating! So intrigued I even started writing a little story expressing my joy of all things numerical! This story has a focus on hardwork and deliberate progression, no magical deus ex machinas here sorry.

System Supervillain
I was there when it happened. When the walls of reality came crashing down upon us. When everything changed. I was there. I watched it happen. There wasn’t anything I could do, of course. When two veritable demigods are fighting to the death, getting caught in between is a great way to end up very dead. Or worse. That’s when it happened. Raw time crashed with pure paradox, and the universe itself screamed in torment. Night turned to day turned to yesterday and tomorrow and blue and yellow and whale and petunia, and then it snapped back, all at once, with a thunderous roar that was not heard but felt. And then I saw the blue box for the first time. ------------ A System Apocalypse event happens in a world of superheroes, like you would see in the comic books. What happens when the world changes, and heroes and villains are now bound by a System that limits their powers? What will change, and what will remain the same? This story will incorporate Champions/HERO System 5th Edition rules. There will be dice rolls determining the action, and blue boxes with lots of crunchy numbers. If you're not down for that, there are plenty of other stories on this site that you'll like. But if that sounds fun to you, then welcome aboard, and I invite you to see what happens when someone becomes a System Supervillain.

Rare caverns here and there. Also, structures can be found abandoned. Going through these white lands is dangerous alone, perhaps get yourself a guide, or hold a map and a compass. But no matter how better you traverse, the abstracted distance would never change. If you had the unlucky start of waking up here, then let’s hope you find someone to give you clothes and shelter. The is beyond survivable. Unlike the other sectors, the Winter Sector doesn’t care to make things easy for newcomers. There are going to be tons of questions, most of which would be unanswered until you reach the end of the road. Unnatural things, abnormal dreams, anomalous scenes. This isn’t the world you were born in. Though it might look it, it won’t act like it.
