That was the only word Sophie could think of while sitting beside Eve watching The Dark Eyed Demon talking about something that is not important.

He still looked the same, with his white mask and his arrogant personality and that aura that surrounds him, an aura that could make the purest maidan filthy. An aura that makes Sophie want to scrub her body with stones just to get it out of her. The man was not filthy by any means, he actually smelled nice. Which was a shock, she thought he would smell of blood and gore. Considering his bloody ways, she still remembers the poor fellow Adrius killed when they first met. The fellow’s only crime was that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And Adrius used the opportunity to show her his power, it was a bold message that even a blind person can see. It was a message saying: Fear me, don’t betray me or I will destroy you.

She of course betrayed him, but he hasn’t done anything yet. She is not that stuiped to think that he would not do anything, but she knew he didn’t do anything yet because of her family and their power. But that doesn't mean she is not untouchable, she is 100% sure that the moment he gains enough power he will kill her.

She was sure of it, because if the academy’s new saying wasn’t wrong then it has happened before. The saying says: The Dark Eyed Demon waits and waits but never forgets.

It was honestly a good saying, except for the part about Adrius. She does not know why the students fear him this much? Like yeah he is brutal and very much mad she likes to say. But he hasn’t done anything special, maybe killing Oilver the mouthless. But as everyone says it was not him but his artifact.

So he has not done anything of importance that go with his name, maybe only that he is the apprentice of the dare she say the most picky professor in the academy and one of the best poison masters in the Raven region. But that was all, he was talented in poisons. She can’t take it from him, after all not everyone creates their own poison while they are still apprentices.

He was not handsome at least that is what the people he came with to the academy say. She tried to ask them to draw his face, because honestly she was very intrigued by how he looks. But when she mentioned them drawing him, everyone she asked paled and a look of absolute fear conquered their faces. She didn’t know why, but when she knew why she wished she didn’t know… It seems that Adrius gathered everyone of the people that knew what he looks like and then he chose one of them. They didn’t know why he chose someone, but in moments they knew why. He flayed the person he chose and they turned to them and said: “ That will happen to you if you even think about how I look, got it?”

It was also said the lover of the man he flayed attacked him on his way out, but before she could even get close to him a man almost 2,5 meters tall catched her. He then took her with him, after his Master told him: “Hadith have your fun, you deserved it.”

The girl’s body was found 2 days later, she was naked with a lot of bruises and some skin was missing from her body. Sophie didn’t even want to remember what happened to the girl more than torture, because she knew that was not all that happened. When she heard about what happened she almost went to Adrius to kill him and his mad dog. But she stopped herself because Adrius was at the same power level as her, and now he was even stronger than her. He was a rank 3 magus apprentice while she was still rank 2. She, the noble, the prodigy of her family. A family that was a magus family, was defeated by a man from a family that was built by a magus and never had one anymore. Unlike her noble family, her blood was pure, unlike his filthy mixed blood.

Adrius’ voice brought her out of her mind: “ So, what do two pretty ladies like you two want from me in the middle of the night. Just so you know, I’m married now so no fucking for you sluts”

She and Eve were like fish out of water, they opened and closed their mouths trying to understand what he just said.

“You dare you filthy degenerate, you dare call me such names. I will kill you, but first I will cut your cock and make you eat it” Screamed Eve while standing up, she was mad!

She knew Eve for almost 3 years now, and this was the first time she saw her this mad.

Adrius shrugged like he was not just threatened by Eve: “ Sit down and be a good girl, now tell me what the fuck do you want from me you red and blure haird fuckers?”

Eve was boiling, she could see her face was red like her hair. It was concerning honestly, so she decided to speak but instead of the thing she wanted to say, she said: “ Hold the fuck up, you’re married?”

Adrius laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world: “ Yeah, I am. And a bigger surprise, I’m expecting a child. So you will have little me walking around the academy in approximately 8 months.”

Fuck, he is spriding his filthy genes and making more monsters. That was her only thought when she heard what he said. Eve was not as quait: “ Did you rape the girl you monster, like you made your mad dog rape that girl and then dump her body in the river?”

If Adrius was surprised that they found out about the girl it didn’t show: “No I did not, I may be a scum of the earth but I will not rape. I have people to do that for me. As for the girl you are talking about, isn’t it kinda old, as I remember it happened 4 months ago while I was still a rank 2. And Hadith was still under 2,5 meters. But I tell you what that girl was a screamer. Well, until I told Hadith to cut off her tongue” He said the last part with a chuckle.

She wanted to vomit, this man was mad. What kind of a person would do such things to a 15 year old girl and laugh about it?

“She was 15 you fucking monster, what kind of a person does such things to a 15 year old?” She couldn’t control herself and she lashed out.

Adrius was still calm as ever: “ As you said, a monster. Do you know why I got the name The Dark Eyed Demon?” He asked with his dark eyes watching her like a prey.

She shook her head.

“Well, they started calling me after the yearly exam. Because the last thing you see is my dark eyes. And you know how people love to call people that are ruthless or cruel demons, so I became a demon with dark eyes. And I like to embrace the names people call me. So it is only natural for me to act like a demon from the deepest part of hell, not because I want to, no. That is because that is what everybody expects me to do. But I like doing it, I like the look of fear on people’s faces when I go beside them.”

She didn’t know what to say: “ You are mad! You really are a demon!”

Adrius laughed a deep laugh, it sounded like stone rubbing against each other: “ Oh, sweety you have not seen madness yet. But your turn is coming soon, and believe me, I will enjoy every moment I have with you”
