Fear!

That was the most dominating emotion First felt. He was to meet The Master today, and explain to him about how they took the city and defeated The Giant syndicate.

He felt afraid because he was to meet a person that made the cold and stoic Lady Lilly shiver when she heard he was coming to the city.

Blood Raven has been the overlord for the underground world of the Firebird city for 1 month now. And it was going fine, there were some incidents, Giant syndicate members trying to take back their place as the overlord.

They are rotting in shallow graves right now, they also have made some assassinations.

They have assassinated every noble and every person in power who has connections to the Giant syndicate. It was easier than expected, mainly because they had Brad Saloman on their side. The poor fool was so excited to become lord that he gave all of the information he had and didn’t hold any to keep himself worth something.

His assasination was close, First could feel it. First was only 16 years old, but being a homeless child from the day he was aware of the world made his mind and his personality look like an adult.

He doesn’t remember his family, if he ever had one. And he doesn't care actually. Blood Raven was his family now, the Blood Lords his siblings and Lady Lilly his mother.

He was the Blood King, a title that held power in the underground world, especially in the Firebird. The title marked him as the strongest and the leader of the Blood Lords.

Now after experiencing power and the power to control people’s life as he wished he wanted to increase his influence. He wants more!

He wants to spread to other cities and countries. He wants everyone to shiver when they hear his title, and the only way for him to achieve his goal is to get out alive from the meeting he was to enter right now.

Sighing, he adjusted his mask and pushed the door opened then entered.

Entering the room he was met with a plain looking room with only a table and two chairs.

Sitting on one of the chairs was someone who had an aura of ruthlessness and coldness. He was wearing a black robe with a golden raven on the left chest area.

He was also wearing a mask, but not the same mask the Blood Raven top people wore. No, it was a mask of a white skull with fang-like teeth.

The only thing that was visible from the mask was the eyes.

‘What the fuck?!’ First cursed in his mind, his eyes were all black. There was no white, is this man a human?

But he didn’t think a lot because he immediately knelt in front of the person that could only be The infamous Master: “Master, it is an honor for your loyal servant to meet you in person”

The Master spoke with a cold tone, but First just knew that it was the Master normal way of talking and he wasn’t angry, he doesn’t know how he knew this, but he just knew.

“You must me First, I see, the knight technique I gave Lilly really changed you didn’t it. Who thought that the treacherous Lykos family could bring this much benefit to me by betraying the academy.”

First knew exactly what he was talking about, before he joined Blood Raven he was a homeless teenager and sometimes days went by with him not eating anything. Thus he was small for his age, he was almost skin and bone. But after he joined the organisation he gained a knight technique, of course he wasn’t the only one. But all of the six Blood Lords gained it. But he was the only one that was most compatible with it. That in 5 months he was already a knight and was half way through to breakthrough.

Now he was a great knight, he broke through recently. And this was also the reason he was the current Blood King, he was the strongest and the person with the most talent.

Also the technique changed him a lot, he was now standing at 193 cm, with almost 130 kg of muscles. He was strong! He could break human skulls like watermelon in one punch.

“Yes it has Master, I’m eternally grateful for you because without you I couldn’t have achieved anything in my life.” He actually meant every word he said which shocked him. He was standing now after the Master gestured him to stand up.

“Enough with the small talk, I want to know what you do in these past months. And is the city mine or not? Also don’t forget, the placement of the skin on your body depends on your answer” Spoke the Master in his cold tone.

But this time First actually felt the danger in his tone.

“Master, the city is under your control. Blood Raven is controlling everything from shops to brothels whether directly or indirectly.”

The Master nodded his head, and gesterd for him to continue.

“ Also we have assassinated several nobles and people in power that had or have connections to The Giant Syndicate.”

The Master nodded again: “ That is good, good Job First. Now I know that you have made a deal with Brad Saloman to work with you and in exchange you make him a lord. Is that right?”

“Yes Master”

“And how are you planning to do that?”

“Simple answer Master, I don’t. I have taken the job to orchestrate the assasination of Brad Saloman, I’m only waiting for your approval to kill him. If you are okay with this then Brad will die today in his bed by a ‘heart failure’.”

The Master actually chuckled: “ You are a bright and good lad, aren’t you? You have my permission to kill him, and the sooner the better. I have told the Saloman family that I’m leaving today and I’ve said goodbye, but I’m planning to stay a little longer, just to deal with any possible trouble you may encounter.”

The Master paused, it was like he was deciding if he would tell him or not. He then made up his mind and spoke: “ Tell me, would you like to be the next lord of the city?”

First was shocked. He didn’t think a lot about his answer because his ambitions were burning: “ Yes Master, if it is possible then your loyal servant would like that.”

The Master chuckled: “ Good, then you should know the plan, I plan to kill the entire Saloman family except for Veronica. Who is pregnant with my baby, then I’m planning to make Veronica the Lady of the city. And here comes your role, you will marry her, don’t worry about the child I will take it. And I want you to start spreading Blood Raven influence to other cities and if possible countries. I have changed my plan just because I like your way of thinking, so don’t disappoint me, because if you do then even death won’t be a relief for you, understood?”

“Yes Master.”
