Veronica was shaking with excitement!

The moment she heard the news from her Father a few days ago she couldn’t keep her excitement at bay.

The past few days her mind was full of fantasies and memories of the kiss they shared, she couldn’t wait to kiss him again, to look in his dark eyes and feel her soul being sucked in it.

So you could only imagine the excitement she was feeling standing there in the courtyard watching the airship descend.

Finally, the airship landed and the door opened then a hulking figure walked out of it. She immediately recognized who it was, it was Adrius’ slave. Hadith, she looked at him and realized something that made her mind almost stop. He has gotten bigger!

The last time she saw Hadith he was around 2 meters in height, but this Hadith in front of her is around 2,6 meters in height.

She felt her little brother Chris trumble with fear when Hadith descended down the airship. He looked really terrifying with his black armor and red cape.

She forced her mind of Hadith when she noticed another figure descending the airship. She didn’t recognize the woman in front of her. She had brown hair and brown eyes, she was pretty. But she had a tamed look in her eye, like she was to be killed at any moment.

A tight knot formed inside Veronica’s stomach: ‘ Who is this? And why is she traveling with Adrius?’

She immediately disliked the girl, she was pretty and only Gods know what happened on the journey here. Adrius was after all a man, even though he loved her. They weren’t married so he didn’t have any vows to uphold.

Her train of thought was cut by a warm feeling that spread in her body in seconds.

The reason for the warm feeling was descending the stairs of the airship.

Adrius only nodded: “ It is good to see you again Lord Brandon, I must say. I missed some things about Firebird city.”

He glanced at her for a moment when he said it, she was sure no one saw it except for her.

She felt her face burning and her heart started to beat faster.

He then started to greet all of her family, and when finally he came in front of her, she bowed: “ Welcome Your Highness, I hope your travels have been easy?”

He nodded: “ Yes it was My Lady, thank you for asking. I must say that I missed the garden, I would like it if you showed it to me sometime.”

“ I would love to do that Your Highness” She said while bowing her head, thankfully by bowing she hid the blush on her face.

They then went inside, ate and then talked a little.

Then Adrius stood up and walked out, she immediately followed him. He was walking in the hallways leading to the gardens.

After they arrived, he sat down on a bench. Then with a click of his fingers a see through wall was all around them.

She asked as she sat down: “ What did you do just now, Your Highness?”

Adrius answered her immediately: “None of that, if the woman I love can’t call me by my name. Then who can? Also this is a magic barrier, it will show to the people that we are sitting and chatting.”

Then he grabbed her waist and brought her to sit on his lap, he took off his mask and then gave her a kiss she thought about for thousands of times.

After breaking the kiss he looked her in the eyes: “ I missed you Veronica”

“ I missed you too, my love.”

She then leaned in and kissed his lips again, this time it took longer for them to separate.

She then prepared herself to ask a question she had on her mind the moment he landed in her home: “ My love, who is this girl that is traveling with you, is she your mistress?”

To her shock Adrius laughed: “ No, Illyan is a magus apprentice that works under me, and there is only one woman I have eyes on. And she is sitting on my lap right now.”

Veronica released a breath she didn’t know she held, he was faithful! He was faithful to their love!

At that thought she kissed him again, but this time her kiss was passionate and hungry. Like the kiss of fire on human flesh.

Adrius’ hands were all over her body, one was holding her bottom and one was cupping her breast.

She felt amazing at his touch.

But then an idea hit her, the idea made her break the kiss and look him in the eyes: “ Adrius, how old are you?”

She didn’t mind being with an older man, but magus were beings that lived for hundreds of years. And she didn’t want to be with someone who is 90 years old and she was still 15.

Adrius thought for a moment, age was not that important for him so it took him longer to remember: “ I’m 17 years old, but now that I’m a rank 3 magus apprentice I can live up to 150 years. So I’m still a child in magus standard.”

She relaxed after hearing that the age gap is only 2 years. Getting that out of her mind she started to kiss him again.

While kissing him a strange idea creeped into her mind out of nowhere. The idea was not appealing at first but the more she thought about it she liked it more and more.

She broke the kiss and looked at his dark eyes with determination: “ Adrius, My Love, I want a child”
