There were moans inside a room, moans of pleasure, moans of anger, moans of hate. The sound was loud. Adrius was sitting on the couch reading a book about poisons.

The moans were coming from his lab inside of Croft’s laboratory. They were Mary’s.

He has found a father, it was a beastkin that resembles a wolf.

After some time the sound stopped and Adrius went into the room.

He saw them both sitting on chairs and waiting for him. They were wearing their clothes.

“ How did it go?“ Asked Adrius

“Okay I guess” answered Mary with a blush

“Good, both of you may go now”

They stood up, bowed to him and walked out of the room.

Adrius then sat down and started reading from his book.

Time passed with him reading and then he heard a knocking on the lab’s door.

He knew it wasn’t Croft because Croft was not in the lab right now he was in a meeting, and he was the only person in the lab so it must be someone else.

He walked down to the door and opened it. He was met with a figure he recognized as Eve from the Order hall.

She smiled when she saw him but it was not a “happy to see you smile” but “when will you die” smile.

She couldn’t see out of his face because of his mask but she knew he wasn’t happy to see her: “ hello Adrius, long time no see. I almost forgot you existed.”

Adrius nodded: “ It has been a long time no what do you want Eve?” He said in his cold but respectful voice. He hated her but he also respected her because she was stronger than him. And he has to respect her because she was stronger and she could kill him, she was rank three and he was rank two. So he wasn’t going to show his arrogance or show his disrespect to her in front of her face. It will only make him write his own death certificate.

Noticing the cold tone Eve responded: “ I am here by the order of the headmaster asking you to join him now so he could talk to you”

Adrius was dumbfounded for a minute, the headmaster the strongest being in this Academy. He could literally squish Adrius to the floor with a thought. The sense of fear started to grow in him, he was not afraid of death but he was afraid of the headmaster and his ways.

He then calmed himself forcefully: “ sure lead the way”

He then followed Eve through the Academy until they went to the main section of the Academy which was forbidden for students to enter and only magus with permission could enter. It was the headmaster's quarters.

They went in. It was a big palace and the inside was filled with everything you could imagine. It was one of the most beautiful houses Adrius has ever seen in his life. There was furniture that was made of gold, there was a human skeleton sitting on a chair, there was a dog the size of a big table resting.

Then they got approached by an old man wearing a butler’s uniform. Adrius sensed that the butler was a rank three magus apprentice.

‘ What's happening? This man has a butler that is rank 3 magus apprentice. The headmaster has a butler that is literally the peak of the mortal world. Magus are really different things’

He has never seen a rank 2 magus so it was very shocking to him finding that someone who is ranked three magus apprentice that was respected throughout the academies would be just a mere Butler.

“You must be Adrius? Master is waiting for you please follow me” Said the old man.

“ My job is done now, see you” Said Eve while walking away.

Adrius didn’t return the goodbye and continued following the butler to meet the headmaster.

After following him for sometime they got to the main purpose of this visit, they got to the headmaster's study room where he will meet him for the first time.

“ I will leave you here now, knock on the door.” Said the butler while walking away.

Adrius then turned to the door and motioned his hand to knock on it but before he could knock on it the door opened by itself revealing the inside of the room.

The room was filled with shelves and the shelves were stocked with books and there was a table in the middle of the room with a chair behind it and someone sitting on the chair. Adrius recognized his face even though he didn’t see him for much but he could recognize his face as the headmaster.

Adrius bowed immediately and said: “ Hello my Lord, you have called me.”

The headmaster looked at Adrius and then said with his emotionless voice: “Come boy sits in front of me we have a lot to talk about”

Adrius followed the order and sat down.

“ I have called you today because I have heard from your professor that you have met the founder of the academy, Lafaz.”

“ that is correct, my Lord“

“ tell me how did you meet him“

“ While I was on the mission with Sophie Gaius we were ambushed by the pegasus academy or more specifically Oliver the mouthless. He was stronger than us both so we ran, Sophie ran toward the right and I ran towards the left he followed me because I was the weakest and almost killed me but at the last moment, The mask that I was wearing Demon’s wrath exploded and a figure appeared he told me that he was the founder of the Academy and demand that I show him the tattoo on my hand so he can confirm I was from the raven Academy. After I showed him he said that this was his will and he put it in the mask so he could protect the wearer of the mask if something happened that is life-threatening and he said he can only cast two spells. I told him to kill Oliver and heal me and he did. Then he disappeared, that was the whole interaction” Adrius has changed the fact that Sophie betrayed him for his own good. Because if the headmaster knew then it would be very dangerous to Adrius. Because the Gaius family is a very powerful family and Sophie is a very important person for the Gaius family and for the raven Academy so if the headmaster knew about this then he will certainly watch Adrius carefully and will stop him from doing a lot of things. Because The headmaster saw him throughout the yearly exam and how he will take revenge and that has made a picture of a very wild and savage personality that will kill everyone that betrayed him. So if the headmaster knew that he was betrayed then he would be very worried about Sophie and it would probably result in Adrius’ imprisonment or death.

The only people in the Academy that knows about the real story are 3 people including Adrius who are Croft, Sophie and Adrius.

He has told Croft to not talk to tell the headmaster about this because he wants to take revenge by himself and Croft approves of his actions.

As for Sophie he was sure she wouldn’t say anything about the accident because that would damage her reputation to the ground and she would get punished by the order hall.

Adrius didn’t know if you should tell the headmaster about the real story. The headmaster was the son of the former headmaster and was not a member of any of the three big families but he is still the headmaster and he has to keep his Academy in check. The headmasters are usually from one family, the Buros family. And this generation’s family head and the academy’s headmaster is Jason Buros. The man that is sitting in front of Adrius right now.

Headmaster Jason looked at Adrius in the same way he looks at everyone, with boredom and said: “ Good job you have answered some questions that were left unanswered for the past thousand years like who is the creator of the mask? and how did it come to the Academy? You see, we only know that it was created by the skull of a demon king but we didn’t know who created it? When was it created? and who is it created for?”

After he was done headmaster Jason got silent for some seconds thinking about something then he come back to himself and said: “ that was all I needed from you, you may go now“

Adrius got up bowed and went to the door, but before he could open it the door opened by itself ann a voice came behind him: “ also you may want to lay low for sometime because as you see magus don’t like when the human blood of the magus world gets tainted by another bloodline. You see we are not like those traitorous warlocks. They replace their bloodline with something out of this world. And that is not acceptable for a lot of magus”

Adrius was frozen for a second as the word hit him one after another: ‘He knows about the experiment! Fuck, how do you know? Why is he mentioning warlocks? Isn’t it forbidden to practice bloodline magic in the magus world?’

It didn’t take him long to realize he was standing without moving for seconds now he immediately moved and got out of the place.

This was bad. It was forbidden in the whole magus world to practice bloodline magic and if someone knew that Adrius was creating a hybrid of a human bloodline and a beastkin bloodline then he would be hunted by every magus in this world. It was very dangerous. Adrius was sure that no one would ever know because how would they know? He was not bragging about it, he was just doing it on the low but now he has discovered that the headmaster knows about it but the headmaster didn’t do anything. So he hoped that he would keep the secret. He will wait for nine months, see the experiment and immediately kill it.
