《Magus Of Darkness》Chapter 45: Return

Days passed and eventually the airship arrived at the Raven academy.
Adrius went through all of the woods and everything and got to the hidden door with the two statues of the big raven and a giant boar he then said the password: “ Sha Gro logoth, ary gita gorgoth” which Adrius understands now because it is in Xyron. It says “ The great raven flies high, the great boar charges unhindered”
Adrius was a little shocked at how cheesy the sentence was, and he knew it was one of the headmasters who created that. Because the boar and the raven were a creation of said headmaster.
Hearing the password the great reason opened his eyes and looked at Adrius: “ oh I see it’s Adrius Caseo, welcome back home. No answer and don’t talk too much. I'm tired.”
Adrius did as he was told, he didn’t speak a word. He didn’t want to offend these statues, they both had the power of an official magus so if he did anything wrong they could kill him in a blink of an eye.
Entering the academy's area Adrius felt like he was in a place he belongs to, that he doesn’t necessarily call home but it was kind of OK. He walked through the stairs and got down to the main area of the Academy. He then headed toward his room to change his clothes and wear his old mask to cover his face, because if he keeps hiding his face behind a hoodie. Then it was likely 100% to get exposed and also he didn’t like the look of it. and his mask is his signature look so without his mask he feels empty. He doesn’t necessarily care about his looks or his face, he doesn’t hate it, he doesn’t like it. It Just his face, just a bunch of skin but wearing a mask he feels more comfortable because they can’t see his face if he was shocked. If he was sad, happy or if he just didn’t care. He can act better and he can deceive more people. Also according to his experience in the past months or year by fighting against people he has discovered that looks do in fact matter in a fight. If you look too frightening then the opponent will likely slip for a second so you get a chance to maybe cast a spell or hit a deadly combination. So he is trying to look as terrifying as possible with his looks and his demeanor so when the time comes and someone wants to fight him, then they are more afraid of him than they are ready to fight him. Thus making it more possible for him to win.

While walking toward his room he has met a lot of students but none of them seemed able to recognize him he thought it was because he has never wore such a look and has not had never gone out without a mask so it was unlikely for them to notice him and there was a lot of looks at him and murmurs like “who is that guy? What is he doing here? Why is he in this area?”
Then when he stopped in front of his room he heard some gasps behind him and someone said: “what is he doing? Does he know that this room belongs to Adrius?”
A lot of students started to pray for Adrius thinking he was going to die because he was standing in front of the room. They knew Adrius was not in the Academy and had gone out to do a mission but still if he got back to the academy again and heard that someone was picking at his room or did anything to his room then they certainly thought that that person would be doomed.
Then a scene happened that made the l students' eyes and mouths open in fear! The hooded figure took out a key and opened the door then got in.
After a few seconds one of the students got back to himself and said: “ Oh Lord, that wasn’t a normal person that was Adrius, he is back!”
The news of Adrius being back to the Academy spread Like moths to flames the whole academy knew in a matter of hours. Of course Adrius didn’t know about the mess he had created by coming back and was sitting in his room thinking. He has instructed Hadith to go to the servant hall and get his role and to introduce himself to Mary because they will be having a lot of time together. Thinking of Mary he has remembered that he should probably find a father for the experiment. He originally wanted to buy a beastkin from the slave market but then remembered that academy has a lot of beastkin as slaves, so he can grab any one of them and make an experiment.

After wearing his uniform and his mask he got out of the room and headed towards his mentor’s laboratory. In a matter of minutes she was in front of the door and was saying the password after saying the password the door opened revealing the laboratory and everything in it. Croft was doing what Croft usually does, experiments or making poisons when he heard the door open he looked at the door and saw Adrius: “ Adrius your back? I didn’t know you were back and it looks like you’ve gone back to your old mask what a shame I liked your mask”
Address bowed before he spoke, even though he was close with Croft he didn’t forget that Croft was an official magus and he was still a magus apprentice so they were not on the same level so he has to show him respect: “ Yeah I liked it too, how is everything going your experiments and did you miss me?”
“ Everything was good and no I did not miss your annoying ass maybe a little but not much so don’t be cocky kid“
Adrius nodded and then looked at the laboratory and then he noticed a figure coming out of his lab. She had dark hair and a beautiful face. Adrius recognized that it was Mary, his maid. He then turned to croft and asked: “ I thought you didn’t like anyone entering your lab without your permission?”
Croft nodded: “ yeah I hate when it happens” he didn’t notice Mary and he understood: “ oh you were talking about Mary it’s no big deal she is your maid after all so it’s OK for her to enter the lab. Also she has helped me a lot these past days so she’s OK I guess.”
“ Then I should warn you I have bought a new slave. He's a knight and he’s almost becoming a grand knight and is a very strong dude.”
Croft nodded in approval and got back to his work.
Mary then got to Adrius and bowed: “ welcome back master it is good to see you” she said with a weak smile.
Adrius nodded and then entered his lab to make preparations for the big experiment, the human-animal hybrid experiment. He wanted to do it as fast as possible because it will most likely take nine months for Mary to give birth. And in these nine months he can raise his power. Maybe he can break through rank 3 magus apprentice, making him more powerful and more capable of doing things.
He had checked everything and he was almost ready; he only needed one thing, a father.
‘ Well I guess I have to go find a father now.’
Just the thought of it working made him excited because if it l works he can study the genes and then maybe apply them to himself like apply the immunity to poison like snakes or any other creature that is immune to poison to himself then he will be immune to poison. Making him a very powerful poison master.
