Sophie was stunned: ‘ What the fuck is wrong with this man? He has just killed a student of the academy and didn’t even consider the implications of his actions.’

She was a bad person in the light and normal people standard, but this Adrius was just too much. She killed for benefits but he just killed without reason, and that thing has created something inside Sophie she thought would never happen again. It was fear! She did not fear Adrius because of his power, but because of his personality and his bi-polar behavior. Such people are always the most dangerous people you could ever meet. People that will kill you without any reason but just because they wanted to.

‘I should really watch Adrius at all times, maybe he will betray me.’ Decided Sophie.

Adrius came back and sat down on his chair, he saw Sophie’s expression change when he came in: ‘ Good, my trick has worked!’ The killing of the boy was only a trick he played so he can make Sophie always on the edge and weary of him. It’s maybe impractical if he wants to backstab her, but she can’t backstab him if she is afraid he will do the same.

As for the boy, it was a necessary sacrifice. The whole thing of him overhearing their conversation was his plan, he had made his voice higher when he sensed him outside the door. Thus making killing him a justifiable excuse. He was a spy! He told us that he was spying for his friend but maybe it was for another academy. And no one will know the truth because Adrius took his soul and destroyed it already. Of course the disappearance of the 3 students wasn’t a secret but Adrius’s and Sophie’s mission was a secret. Also the people didn’t know why the 3 students ran away. Thus making the perfect excuse for killing the boy, he was a spy and had dangerous information that could make the academy’s reputation go down. Making what Adrius did the perfect crime, because there is no evidence and even if Sophie wanted to testify she can’t because she was there and saw Adrius kill the boy and she didn’t do anything. Thus making her a part of the crime.

Adrius sat in his chair and thought to himself with a huge grin on his face: ‘ Sometimes my plans are just amazing!’

When they were all ready, the ship took off heading to the Lykos family headquarters.

Throughout their journey they saw a lot of creatures, like a winged elephant, winged tiger and a lot more. And like that 7 days passed in their journey. Adrius was in his room meditating: ‘ Okay, by my calculations now I have 26 magic points.’ He has risen 2 points in the past 2 months and now he has risen an extra point just by meditating.

‘This meditation thing isn’t too bad after all, if I can raise one point a month then in 4 months I can break into magus apprentice rank 3’ Breaking through the magus apprentice ranks is quite easy but the real challenge is breaking through to an official magus. Because you gotta have a meditation technique that can take you to official magus. As for the magic points it is not a big problem, with enough time you can achieve it but the meditation technique is a treasure for most families and academies and can’t be traded or sold. This is why a lot of people are stuck at rank 3 magus apprentice.

‘ I should not think about the meditation technique problem for now, I’m not even a rank 3 magus apprentice’ He knew there was a way to breakthrough but he won’t do it. Croft told him about it, and he used it personally. It was using the power of another magus to breakthrough forcefully. But this will result in the person stucking in the same level for all their life unless they can find a meditation technique and break their cultivation to start all over again.

But there was another method, which was making a contract with the academy to work for them. And in response the academy will give you their meditation technique. But this method was not on the table for Adrius, he was a free person and will not be enslaved by anyone.

Adrius then stopped thinking about all of this stuff and got out of his room. They have arrived at their destination.

He met Sophie at the deck of the ship: “ What is the plan now? We are quite far from their headquarters and I don’t think they have discovered us yet.” Asked Adrius with an amused voice, he wanted to make it hard for Sophie by not giving a plan.

Sophie thought about it for a while and then said: “ Well, I think I have the right tools for us.”

Elsewhere

There was three people were bowing before a middle aged man, one of the boys spoke with fear: “ My lord we have done what you asked us for”

The middle aged man laughed and said: “ Yes you did indeed, your contributions for the family will be rewarded”

The three people's body lost its tension, even though they were magus' apprentices and were stronger than the average human. But the person in front of them wasn’t an average human. He was the head of the Lykos family Albert Lykos and he was already a great knight. So he can kill them without any effort. Great knights power are compared to rank 2 magus apprentices.

“Now don’t get too comfortable, you have stolen from a powerful academy and they will definitely hunt you. So in the next few days keep a low profile and don’t get out of the castle. Understood?”

“Yes my lord” All the people answered at the same time.

“Goo-” Before Albert could finish his words screams were heard outside.

“OH NO! They came for us” Screamed one of the people that escaped the academy. She was the weakest and the most unwilling out of all 3. And she was against the whole operation from the start.

“Shut it Alice! My lord is here so they are not a threat” Screamed a boy beside her, and he used the moment to suck up to Albert.

“Enough! Let’s go and kill these Intruders” Said Albert with a bone chilling tone.

But before they could move outside, the door to the room they were in broke open showing two figures.

One of them was a female. She was in her twenties, she wore black magus robes with a golden raven imprinted on the right chest. She had blue hair and blue eyes, she was a beauty every man dreamed about and every woman dreamed of having. And beside her stood a man, he wore the same robes but one couldn’t see his face because of a black skull mask with horns at the forehead. The man looked very evil and the woman looked like an angel, it was a very odd combination.

One of the students that ran recognized the masked figure and started to shake: “ A...Adrius Caseo! Why is he here? Oh my god we are doomed!”

When the other two heard his scream they realised who Adrius was and their legs turned soft of fear.

Adrius then laughed and said with an evil tone: “ Oh, don’t be so scared. The scary part hasn’t come up yet” Adrius has read a lot of psychology books in his previous life and has a lot of experience of making an enemy scared.

Albert then walked and stood in front of the 3 students: “ I would like to see you try to get past me”

Adrius looked at Albert and said something that made everyone’s jaw drop: “ Who the fuck are you?”
