“Adrius Caseo you have been assigned a mission by the higher ups, your mission is to hunt and kill 3 rogue rank 1 magus apprentices!”

Adrius was dumbfounded for a second, ‘they assigned me a mission without my approval? What the hell is going on? There is something fishy about this’ It was not unnatural for an academy to assign a student on a mission without them knowing or approving, but Adrius was different; he was the apprentice of a potion master and his value was high. Also the mission is just insane, hunt and kill 3 rank 1 magus apprentice. For normal people it may seem difficult but Adrius has literally done this hundreds of times. So he wasn’t nervous or worried, but he was confused as to why he was assigned to this mission. There are a lot of people who are stronger than him.

Looking at Eve Adrius saw a hint of a smirk on her face: “ Give me the information, also why are you here? You could’ve send anyone” Said Adrius

Eve answered with the same cold tone she uses around Adrius: “ Well, as you know your time limit is almost over and the magus in charge of the mission hall has assigned you this. And by coincidence I was there, so I said why not bring you your mission and see you too”

Adrius didn’t buy this coincidence shit, but he didn’t have time to argue with this crazy woman: “ The info?”

Eve crossed her arms: “ May I come in? The story is long” She was stronger than Adrius, but this was Croft’s lab and everybody in the school knows that Croft doesn’t like anyone entering his lab without permission. It was a rumor at first but one time 50 years ago a student who was rank 3 magus apprentice, he was also a potion master apprentice. Entered the lab to beat Croft’s apprentice at the time, without knowing Croft was in the lab, because Croft was out at the time and found it the best time to bully Croft’s apprentice. Anyhow the apprentice was killed in the public area by a poison that made him go through a lot of pain but at the same time he was fully conscious.

People who went to that execution said the screams of the student made glas break, and while he was screaming out loud there was someone who was louder than him, it was Croft laughing. From that day on no one ever dared to even come close to Croft’s lab.

Adrius got away from the entrance:” Come in and don’t touch anything. Croft would know believe me”

They both got to the mais sitting area in the lab and sat in front of each other: “ Nice place” Complimented Eve

Adrius had enough with her bullshit:” You can stop the act now Eve no one is here, and tell me the fucking info already!”

Eve’s expression changed from that blank face to a face filled with hatred and disgust: “ Good, cause that was hard to maintain. Anyhow these 3 people are of a very powerful noble family, and by powerful I mean in the mortal world standard. They don’t have any magus or any magus apprentice except for these three. What they did is take our meditation technique and some spells they bought and escaped back during a mission to their family so they can make their family stronger. The family’s name is Lykos, and they are located in the south region of the golden lion kingdom. It will take you approximately 1 week to get there by air ship. Your main goal is to kill the three and if you can the whole family. We want everybody killed, no one should be left alive, they stole from the raven academy and if we let them without punishment then we would lose our face. Also I forgot to mention you would have a partner she is also rank 2 but a lot stronger than you. You have 3 hours to pack and then head outside the academy to the airship port.”

Adrius was shocked, ‘3 hours? That was very fast. I thought that they would give me at least a day or two to prepare’

Eve then added something: “ I remembered know, take this” She took out a robe out of a bag she had on her shoulder.

Adrius was confused: “ What is this?”

“Well you are going out and when you go out you can’t be wearing the academy’s uniform but you must wear these robes that resembles a magus and a raven academy member”

Adrius looked at the robes, they looked like normal magus robes except for one thing the robe was black which was normal but the most eye catching thing about it was the golden raven on the left side of the robe.

Adrius liked to look good, because looking good will make the opposite party more open and more willing to negotiate. Even though he looks more terrifying than good with the mask on his face.

“ I will take my leave now, the map and the detailed information are in the hands of your partner” Said Eve while walking out of the lab.

Adrius sat there thinking for a moment and then called Mary.

After minutes Mary came in, she had her eyes on the ground and looked very obedient.

Adrius spoke: “ Mary I will leave on a mission, it will take me approximately 2 weeks so in that time I want you to take care of my stuff and clean my room.”

Mary responded: “ Yes master” She was happy inside, because that means she will not get pregnant against her will in these next weeks. Maybe she would find someone she wants to have a child with, who knows? She didn’t know that Adrius already has a father in mind.

“You may go now”

After Mary left Adrius called Croft and told him that he was going on a mission.

He then took all of his stuff and walked out of the lab and went to his room. He got there and packed his stuff in a bag he had. He took out some poisons and potions from his stash which was under his bed. He then wore the magus robe. He looked very terrifying especially with Demon’s Wrath.

He packed his sword and dagger in case something happened and then took off. He walked all climbed all the stairs that led outside, and then got out of the main gate. He greeted the guardians, he doesn’t want to offend a being with power of official magus.

He then activated shadow steps and ran toward the airship port.

It took him 5 minutes to get there, when he got there he was met with a small ship, it was not small actually but it had the size of a yacht. But for Adrius who saw the real big stuff he considered it small.

When he got there a lot of people noticed him and immediately made space for him to walk, most of them were apprentices that took a mission to clean the port and there are the apprentices who fix the ship and repair it. Adrius’s look was known throughout the academy, so they recognized him immediately.

“ So this is the infamous Adrius Caseo” A voice rang behind Adrius

He turned to see a beautiful woman in her twenties, she had blue hair with blue eyes. She was wearing the same robe as Adrius but the robe couldn’t hide a lot of her figure. A lot of students swallowed their saliva when they saw her, but Adrius was unmoved. Not because she wasn’t pretty but because he doesn’t care about such things. ‘ What will love and sex help me with? Can they stop a spell from a magus? No It can’t’ That was his mentality

“ This is me, how can i help you?”

The women was shocked at Adrius’s indifference but then she got herself together and said:”My name is Sophie Gaius, I’m you partner on this mission”
