Inside a room there was screaming, screaming that will make the hairs on the back of someone's neck stand like an arrow. Inside there were two people, the first one was a man in his twenties but the most eye-catching thing about him was his body that was see-through. He was screaming in agony like a maniac. In front of him there was a man that looked 15-16, he was wearing white lab coat and was noting in a notepad that he had in his hands. The most eye-catching thing about him was the mask that he had on his face, it was of a white skull with fangs instead of teeth. It was Adrius, and the “person” in front of him was a soul.

‘human souls are very weak against magic’ Noted Adrius in his notepad, it has been 2 months since Croft told him about the soul eating method. He spent those two months searching and experimenting on souls, his knowledge of souls is very high compared to his ranking as a rank 1 magus apprentice, but it is still nothing much.

He didn’t spend all of his time on experiments but he cultivated too, now his magic points were on the verge of breaking into 15.

“Mercy please mercy!” Screamed the soul interrupted Adrius’s thought process. It spoke in Xyron so Adrius understood everything the soul said. Xyron is the soul language and every living being who has a soul can speak it, and because this soul’s original body died the Xyron language that was inside the soul activated so it can communicate.

Adrius was annoyed of this soul so he moved his fingers a little and magic power surrounded the soul and started to squeeze it, the screams of the soul became higher and then the soul just vanished and it was dead at last.

Adrius didn’t use any spell in the past move because he has mastered the manipulation of magic so he can attack or defend without using spells. Of course the spells are still stronger but it is more expensive so now he doesn’t have to depend on spells all the time and waste his magic power.

‘Anyway, now that I have good knowledge about souls I think it is time to make the potion’ Thought Adrius, he then opened the door of the room and walked out, he was back again at Croft’s lab. The place he was in was a room in the lab. The lab was big and had a lot of empty rooms, so Croft gave Adrius a room for him to do experiments in.

Croft was sitting on a chair reading a book, when he heard the door open he looked up and saw Adrius who was walking out: “ Have you made progress?”

Adrius took off his mask and sat down: “ Yes I’m now sure that I can make the soul refining potion. Also I think I need a new soul, I kinda got annoyed and killed it”

Croft at Adrius then sighed: “ Adrius this is the third soul you kill, I will tell someone to bring you a human”

“ Thank you professor, I will take my leave now if you don’t mind” Said Adrius.

Croft waved his hand in a dismissive sign. Adrius then put on his mask and walked out of the lab, he then went to his room.

He has killed those souls because he was also experimenting on them a way to fix a damaged soul, and if Croft decided to soul search them then how would he explain to Croft about it. So killing them was the safest choice.

When he got to his room he went in and closed the door, he then sat down on the bed and started to meditate. In these past days he has found a way for him to see if his soul is damaged or not.

He started to draw his consciousness into the deepest part of his body, It was pitch dark, the type of darkness that makes you can’t see your hands.

Then in the pitch darkness there was a light. It was the size of a tennis ball, it was Adrius’s soul, but there was something weird about it. Adrius came closer to it and saw something that shocked him, there were two souls clashing against each other! There were two souls one was dark and the other was light, then these souls turned into a human form, the dark one turned into Adrius’s former self, the toxicologist from another world, and the light side turned into the original Adrius.

Our Adrius was watching from the side with his mouth open wide, ‘What the fuck is the meaning of this, why is there two souls in my body?’

But before Adrius can think of anything the two souls noticed him and turned to face him.

Original Adrius side spoke first: “ Get out of my body you evil son of a bitch!”

The otherworldly Adrius looked at our Adrius and didn’t say anything.

“What is the meaning of this, why are you two in my body?” Asked our Adrius

“ Your body?! It’s my fucking body you basterd” Screamed original Adrius.

The otherworldly Adrius pointed at our Adrius and spoke: “ you and me are the same person, but this is the original body owner and I have been battling him from the day we came to this world. That’s why you were acting very evil and crazy sometimes and sometimes you would have fainted from seeing blood. It is because of this coward, he is stopping us from taking this body”

Adrius then understood everything, he knew he always felt something was wrong with him, or why he took that risk with Bevis and the magus at the trip to the selection site. His soul was not stable, it was fighting against the original body owner, and because he is the original owner when Adrius' soul becomes stronger his soul becomes stronger too.

Then something came into his mind, when he fought with Chris on the trip to the raven academy he felt something stopping him from moving when Chris tried to stab him. It was the original Adrius who tried to kill him!

The murder intent rose in Adrius he then pointed at the original Adrius and said: “ You tried to kill me you fucking worm, I will fucking keep your soul and let you watch as I kill your entire family!”

Adrius then moved fast and was in front of the original Adrius, original Adrius tried to move but he couldn’t move it was like hands holding him in place.

Adrius then grabbed the original Adrius soul and spoke to it: “ Now there is only us!” While he was saying that the otherworldly Adrius fused with Adrius it was really his soul that controlled his body now.

The original Adrius screamed and tried to break out to stop the fusing because when they are fused then he can’t take his body back ever but when the fusion completed he started to scream like a maniac:” No!! NOOO! I will fucking kill you, you otherworldey worm, you dare to take my body. You are nothing but slaves to our magus world!!!”

Adrius then laughed an evil laugh and said: “ Now that I’m complete and have all the memories, and my personality then you are fucked hahahahahaha”

Adrius then woke up and he then looked at his hand and saw the little white orb, he then took out a see-through ball and put the soul in it. He then spoke some words in Xyron sealing the ball and destroying the last hope Original Adrius had.

Adrius then looked at his body and he felt it was his body for real and the weird feeling was gone.

“Finally I’m complete, it seems this bitch has changed some memories from my previous life. Now it is time for me to break through 15 points and then start the party with this soul hahahaha” Laughed Adrius like a crazy man, this was the real Adrius from his former world. The government didn’t kill him because he was just dangerous but because he was evil and crazy!
