《Magus Of Darkness》Chapter 16: The order hall

He had poisoned her! His plan has worked.
He thought that she would check before she drank the “antidote”, but her judgment was misled because of her “poisoned state” that Adrius put her in.
There wasn’t any antidote in that flask because there isn’t any poison in her. So Adrius thought on how to use this situation to eliminate a future danger and a plan came into his mind.
‘Why not poison her with the same poison that she bought?’
So when he made the silent poison he put half of it in the tube that he gave to Linda and the other half he put it in the “antidote” flask, and she fell for it without any questions.
“Now it is only a matter of time until she dies” Muttered Adrius to himself and a thing that came in his benefit was that he gave her the same poison and it is known that if you open a tube of silent poison you should have something covering your body. So when they will find her body and her target then they will come to the conclusion that she was careless and inhaled some silent poison and died of it. So Adrius will have nothing to do with the deaths.
And after 1 week that actually happened and the news spread like a moth in flame, it was a big deal because two students died from the same thing.
It was deemed murder and the person responsible was deemed to be Linda, but not everything doesn’t go as wished.
The investigation team sent by the order hall has announced that the murder “weapon” was poison and not any poison but the silent poison. And in their announcement they mentioned that the only person to have the recipe for it is professor Croft.
Some got it fast and some said “Why would professor Croft sell this poison to a student?” Until they remembered something Croft had an apprentice.
And with that conclusion Adrius was the hot topic of the academy for days because he sold poison that resulted in the death of two people, some people even wanted the academy to expel him for his actions. But the academy gave them the cold shoulder as always.

While that mess was happening outside Adrius was in his room walking and thinking. ‘ Fuck fuck, I didn’t think that only Croft has the recipe. What a fucking luck, but the good thing is that they didn’t assume that killed Linda, or did they?’
When the announcement got out he was shocked and very anxious, even Though Croft told him that they will not accuse him of murder if one of his prodects killed someone. He was still anxious.
While he was thinking he heard knocking on his door. He put his mask on and got out, there was a man around 20 outside the door.
The man looked at Adrius who just got out and said:“Adrius Caseo, you are to be investigated by the order hall. Now follow me!”
Adrius had expected that the order hall will investigate him, the order hall is the department that is responsible for law and order in the raven academy. And usually all of its members are rank 3 or rank 2 magus apprentice, their boss is an official magus that was appointed by the headmaster himself.
So Adrius didn’t say a word and followed the messenger, they walked for 10 minutes until they got to a building that had a sign that says “The order hall”, they walked in and got to an integration room.
Adrius sat in a chair and waited for his interrogator, after five minutes of waiting the door opened and a woman in her twenties came in. She had short red hair, a milky skin and a pair of ice blue eyes. She wore the uniform of the order hall, it was the same as the normal academy’s uniform but it had different colors. It was white with a little bit of gold, the opposite of the normal uniform that was black with a little bit of blue.
The woman had a very disgusted look on her face when she saw Adrius, if she could she would’ve killed him, type of disgust.

She sat down on the chair in front of Adrius and opened a file that was in her hand and started reading: “ Adrius Caseo a normal person from a noble family, he was known for his kindness and loving nature. He was tested for potential and the result came out positive. On his trip to the selection site he and another girl were poisoned by a person named Bevis Flamestone. He was healed by an official magus and from that day on he became a completely different person. He started killing without a flinch, manipulating people and even selling poisons that resulted in two deaths” She said the last sentence with an angry tone. She read this information to tell Adrius that they know everything about him.
She then closed the book and looked at Adrius with these icy blue eyes: “ So Adrius why did you change?”
Adrius took off his mask because he knew that she knew his face so why keep it on? He then looked at her eyes. There was a hint of killing intent in those blue eyes: “ It isn’t polite to question somebody without introducing yourself first is it?”
“My name is Eve, now answer my fucking question!”
Adrius looked at her again and said: “ I’ve changed because my survival depends on it, and it is the way of life because nothing is eternal but everything changes” Of course he can’t tell her that he isn’t the real Adrius, so he came up with this explanation. It was a good thing that in his past life he liked to read philosophical books.
Eve knotted her eyebrows, she couldn’t see any fear or stress in Adrius’s eye’s. The method of bringing up the past always worked and made the suspects stressed or afraid.
“Did you sell the silent poison to a student named Linda?” Asked Eve
“ Yes I did”
“Did you know what she wanted to use it for?”
“ No I did not, She contacted me through a shop owner named Phil and told me that she wants a silent poison, she offered me 10 magical stones so I accepted it. That’s all” He made this story on his way here, he was 100% sure that Phil won’t snitch on him because they will make him an accomplice.
Eve then took out two things from a pouch she had on her hip, it was the tube and the flask that put poison in.
“ Do you know what these are?”
“ Of course, that tube is the one I put the poison in, but the other one didn’t see it in my life” Lied Adrius
“There were traces of Silent poison in this flask, do know you why?”
“Maybe she divided it into two flask, maybe that's how she got poisoned. Because as you know if you don't have the right equipment then don’t get near the silent poison” Lied Adrius again, he was confident because there are only two people that know what the flask was, he and Linda. Now that Linda is dead they can’t conform to what was the flask’s purpose.
The interrogation went on for 2 hours, Eve wanted Adrius to admit something but he didn’t say a word, then a person came in and whispered something to Eve. She then stood up and said“ You are free to go”
Adrius put on his mask and stood up he stood in front of Eve and said: “Thank you and goodbye”
“ I will catch you, you sick bastard” Said Eve with an angry tone.
“Good luck with that” He said that with an evil laugh, he then walked out leaving Eve inside boiling with anger.

Pawns of God
Five Lines PitchJoin Mark in his fight against a God and change the game's destiny! Delve into a slow-paced story focused on the progression of the main party and the development of the world. Mark himself will be narrating his life inside the game, and to a much lesser extend outside. Guild building, economy, and strategy are the central pieces of the novel. Mark is not overpowered, he will have to build his own power through action-packed battles, trials, traumas, love, and death. Accompany him, the healer and the strategist, an agent of chaos, in the adventure of his life. Without further preamble, I will let Mark take the mic. SynopsisHi! My name is Mark. This is my story, my life as I live it day after day. I’m in my thirties, and there’s nothing I love more than playing online games. I’ve just joined the action on the newest VRMMO game, Pawns of God. An immersive experience you can play while sleeping. Of course, as a game that takes pride in its long development and technological advances, everything inside seems and feels real. Beware, this is not a game-turns-real story. I love my own world and I would detest being summoned into another one. If that ever happens, I’ll just quickly take my life and be done with it. I play with my friends, in a party of 5. We have taken several roles, but lately, I've come to love being a healer. It's my secret ambition to someday be the shotcaller. I am not overpowered. If there is any bug or exploit in the game, they are yet to be discovered. Anyhow, for a game of this scale, the company is pouring all of its resources into test servers, QA, and beta tests. I don’t expect to find any, so I’ll be playing the game just like any other person. I must say, though, I am easily distracted, as you will immediately notice once you start. I'm working on it, I promise to improve! I am no hero. Being in my 30s, my heart is too old for this shit. I wouldn’t mind being one, of course. Who hasn’t dreamt of it? Either way, I’m not doing any grand quest to save the world. Whatever the game throws to their users, I’ll be there to experience it. Most of my life, at least the interesting parts that I’ll be narrating, happen inside the game itself. Rarely, there will be some IRL (In Real Life) chapters. You’ll understand, however, that as a freelance software developer, there is not much I can entertain you with when outside the game. Did I say I love games? Well, I’m also a fan of LitRPG literature. You know, journeys of magic, relationships, personal development, items, skills, discovery… In the spirit of not overwhelming my public, I’ll condense each chapter into circa 1500 words. You might have noticed some tags over this story, let me elaborate. I like to swear. I’m not shy when it comes to cursing my enemies, friends, or even myself. When there’s blood, I tell it as I see it. And… it hurts to admit it, but I’m not a casanova. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I won’t ever find love. So, in case I do end up finding it, let’s keep my sexual options open. As for traumas, none yet, but the future is vast and unknown. Release Schedule The schedule is subject to change, particularly if enough readers end up loving it. All chapters are already written, thus there is enough freedom to modify them.
