In a blink of an eye 3 months went by.

Adrius was in his room specifically at the working place, he was wearing a white lab coat with gloves and protection glasses. There was a snake on the table, the snake was around 1 meters in length and it had green scales and red eyes, it was called the red eyed snake. It has the power of a rank 3 magus apprentice when it is fully grown, of course this one on the table was still a baby and had the power of rank 1 magus apprentice. Croft gave it to Adrius so he will understand how poison builds up in a snake’s poison chamber.

The snake’s mouth was open and there was some part of its mouth opened with a knife.

Adrius was watching the gash building some liquid with his microscope.

‘So this is how this snake produce poison, it uses its blood which is poisonous and mix it with saliva, so it will be easier for it to spit it out’

When he learned about how it works he immediately closed the wound and made the snake drink some healing potion, he didn’t want it to die because it wasn’t his but his mentor.

In these past months Adrius has expanded his business he started to make other potions and poisons also, it has bought him some good money. He still can’t be compared to the real rich people but he was happy with what he got.

He has bought some spells also, like dark arrow and shadow step. He was getting pretty famous recently because the word got out that professor Croft’s apprentice is the one who is responsible for the potions from phil’s shop. Of course that made Phil’s shop skyrocket, but the good thing is that no one knows how he looks like, but they know his name. So he bought a mask to hide himself, he really liked masks even in his past life he wore a mask. But it was for another reason, in his previous life one of his experiments failed and some poison was spilled on his face. He was fine but his face was in a mess, some parts of the skin came off and the skin died so he wore a mask to hide it.

He remembered all these stuff recently, his magic power has risen to 12,5 so he was making progress in his cultivation. He is still away from his goal which is to reach 20 points, because when a magus apprentice reaches 20 they will have the qualification to open their dantian. So he wanted to reach it as fast as possible but it is a lot harder than he thought originally.

He took off his lab coat, wore his jacket, and wore his mask, it was a white skull mask, with teeth that looked like vampires. He gave Phil the mission of buying it, Of course he wouldn’t do it himself because it would be suspicious. A boy bought the same mask as Adrius Caseo Croft’s apprentice, it would raise some questions he is not ready for.

Some people knew him from the journey to the academy and they know how he looks, but they wouldn’t talk because they know how cruel Adrius really is. It took 5 minutes for him to get to Croft’s lab, he said the password and got in. He didn’t find his mentor, he looked for him all around the lab and couldn’t find him. He didn’t care about where he was, he took the snake that was on his shoulder and put it in its place, the snake was tamed by Croft and had a soul mark on it so it can’t harm anyone unless Croft wants it to.

He took off his mask and sat down on a chair, He started reading the book that was on the table. It was a book about magical and not magical creatures.

After 1 hour The door opened and Croft came in with a sunken expression. When he saw Adrius in the lab he walked to a chair and sat down.

“ Are you okay professor?” Asked Adrius

“ Yeah, I was just at a meeting.And there is some bad news” Said Croft

“ Can I know what this news is?” Said Adrius

“ The headmaster has decided to change the date of the yearly test, originally it was going to happen next year but the headmaster has changed it to 6 months from now.” Said Croft

Adrius knew what was the yearly test, it was a test that happens every year that determines the strongest people in each magus apprentice ranks but what made it special was that killing was allowed. Of course that's what normal students thought, Croft has explained to Adrius about the test, it was a way for the academy to eliminate the weak and see who has good potential.

“I will be fine, I have trained hard and now can 3 spells so I’m safe I guess” Said Adrius

“ Well I guess you are right” Said Croft

“Why are you here?” Asked Croft

“ I put back the snake and wanted to ask you about a law?” Said Adrius

“ I’m hearing” Said Croft

“ Is it consider murder if I sell poison and someone get poisoned with it?” Asked Adrius

“ No, you will not have any responsibility for selling your products” Answered Croft.

“ That’s all I’ve got thank you” Said Adrius while he was wearing his mask

Adrius walked to Phil’s shop, there were a lot of stares on him on his way, He didn’t care about them and continued walking.

When he got there he was met with Phil selling something so he waited until he finished his business and came to him.

“ Adrius, how can I help you?” Asked Phil in his excited tone.

“ Does “that” offer still stands?” Asked Adrius

Phil’s face expression changed to happiness.

“ Yes it still does” Said Phil

“ Good, Create a safe place for the meeting, I don’t know how but I don’t want a living soul knowing about what we will do. Understood?”

“ Of course, I already have a place. Please follow me” Said phil

Adrius followed Phil to the back of the shop, Phil then stopped and opened a pathway in the ground.

They got down, the place looked like an aristocratic family living room. Adrius sat down on a sofa

“ Where is that person?” Asked Adrius

“ I have sent a message she will be here soon” Said Phil

After minutes a girl walked in, she had black hair, a pretty face, brown eyes and looked like 14-15 years old.

When she got in, Phil left directly. She looked around the room and fixed her gaze on Adrius, he was wearing his school uniform and his white mask. But you could still see his eyes behind the mask. The girl walked and sat in front of Adrius.

“ First let me introduce myself my name is Linda, and it is an honor to meet you sir Adrius. Your reputation is very interesting.” Said Linda.

Adrius’s acts on his journey to the academy were leaked so he got a bloody and bad reputation.

“Reputation is nothing but a tool, but for some people it can make them or destroy them” Said Adrius

Adrius didn’t care about reputation because what can reputation help you with, can a reputation save your life? No power can. So what is the purpose of having a good reputation if you can't do anything in front of power.

He was meeting Linda for a job, Phil actually brought it to him. He said no at the start but now he has changed his mind.

“ I think that’s enough small talk, what do you want from me that you asked for me by name?” Asked Adrius, he had a speculation but wasn’t sure of it.

“ I here to meet you because I want you to make a poison to kill somebody”
