Adrius has spent all of his time in the library, and didn’t have time to do anything else, so he was surprised when a boy came in front of him and accused him of stealing his money. And he wanted Adrius to give him the money and a bonus on it. Then Adrius put two and two together, this boy wanted to rob him with the name of justice.

There were a lot of people around them by the time the boy finished his speech on how Adrius is a monster for killing 3 people and stealing from another.

“ Do you want to be the fourth person I kill?” Asked Adrius in his usual calm voice. But this voice was like the devil voice to everyone else.

“ You can’t kill me, lord Dominus said that killing isn’t allowed!” Said the boy with a confident tone.

“ You are right” Said Adrius

“ Hahaha now give me my money” The boy became more arrogant when Adrius admitted.

“ But he didn’t mention “accidently” beating until paralyzed” Said Adrius with an evil smile on his face.

“You wouldn’t dare!” Screamed the boy with a face full of anger and fear. He knew that he had the rules by his side if something happens to him but if he dies then it is all meaningless. He was angry because Adrius has underestimated him so much.

“You are right, I wouldn’t dare. Not because of the rules but because beating you isn't worth the trouble I will get into.”

When the boy heard this he was going to pass out from anger, he was Chris Graywood a noble and the prodigy of his family “ the only one who has potential to become a magus” and this nobody is saying that he isn’t worth it. If this is going to spread then no one will respect him so he has to show them his power.

Chris ran to Adrius with speed, his family is a higher noble family so their knight technique is better than the Caseo one. It still has the same effects but it is better than the normal technique. While he was running Chris took out a dagger and charged at Adrius, he didn’t care anymore about the trouble he was getting himself into.

Adrius was calm as always, he had planned for this to happen because if Chris attacked first so it is not his fault for being too cruel?

But there was a problem, his opponent has a weapon. Adrius was a scientist and not a fighter, but he knew that whomever got a weapon has the higher chance of winning.

He dodged the first strike barely, he punched with his right hand but Chris blocked it and struck his hand with the daggers pommel.

“Ahh” Screamed Adrius, he felt that his bones were cracked. He made distance between them and looked around him. He saw a girl to his left with a sword to her waste.

“Ay can you loan me your sword?” Asked Adrius with a painful expression, that was the most painful thing he has ever felt in this new life.

“No, I don’t want someone like you to touch my things!” Said the girl with an angry expression. She hated Adrius so bad because he has killed humans and is not sorry for it.

“ Hmm okay, then I warned you” Said Adrius.

Then he punched her in the face, and took the sword from her waist. She fell in the ground and blood was pouring from her nose, it was broken.

Now that Adrius has a sword he had a better chance at staying alive, he was lucky because including the memories he got from the original Adrius was the sword mastery so he felt lucky for the first time since he has transmigrated in this damned world.

When Chris saw this he stopped for a second and charged again, even if his opponent has a sword he still has the battle experience on his side. And he has beaten his siblings and a few of them have the sword as their weapon of choice. So he was confident in winning.

But what he didn’t know was that everybody he has fought with fought with honor, but the person he was fighting with has no honor and will do anything to win.

And Chris learned the hard way, when he was in front of Adrius he tried to stab him but all he could’ve seen was a forehead coming toward his face. Adrius headbutted him, then with a swift motion Adrius moved his sword and knocked out the dagger out of Chris’ hand. Chris was still dizzy so when the punch to his liver came couldn’t escape and fell to the ground unconscious.

Adrius was panting but not from tiredness but from adrenaline and the feeling of beating somebody and making them know their place. He then walked to the unconscious girl and took the scabbard of her and wore it himself, then he made the same thing with Chris’ dagger holder. Then he walked back to his room with a calm expression as always.

The crowd that was around the fight was speechless, this was the act of bandits and not of a magus apprentice, but they couldn’t say anything because no one can deny the power Adrius has. And in the magus world the strong rule and the weak have to listen and don’t make a fuss.

When Adrius entered his room the calm act slipped away, he was panting and his mind was a mess. ‘ If I didn’t headbutt him then he would’ve 100% killed me, I’m not familiar with a blade this is the first time I hold one. So the memories are useless if I can’t control the blade. I should focus on physical training and reading more books so I can make myself stronger.’

Right there and then Adrius really understood something he always thought he understood which is

“Power is everything, and no power means that you are nothing” So what if he doesn’t have honor if you have enough power no one can say anything bad about you fearing that you will annihilate them. But what is ultimate power without the age for you to use it, even if someone is the strongest their age will eventually end, That's why eternal life is the answer.

In these past seconds Adrius understood something, “ What is power without eternal life and what is eternal life without power? Answer is nothing” So now Adrius has a goal

“ I will achieve eternal life no matter what the cost is” After saying that the air around Adrius changed it became stabler with an air of danger in it. And there was a new light in his eyes, a light of madness that was kept hidden under the layers of sanity.
