《Magus Of Darkness》Chapter 4: The journey begins

Adrius got new clothes, so he put them on. The clothes consisted of black pants and a coat that got below the abdomen. The coat was black with a little bit of blue in it. And it had a golden raven on the area above the heart area. The raven was opening his wings and had a very vicious aura to it.
‘ Hmm, not so bad actually’ thought Adrius with a surprise.
Then there was a knocking on the door again, when the door opened the same maid was there, and when she saw Adrius in his uniform she just said
“ Good that you have dreaset, master wants all the students on the deck now” Then she just moved to another door and said the same thing.
‘ A meeting? I think the magus that is responsible for this trip will give us the ground rules’. Thought Adrius to himself.
He then walked out of his room and went to the deck of the ship. It was big, like it could take a 1000 people. There were around a thousand students standing on the deck, Adrius chose a place at the back where he won’t get any attention. But that didn’t happen on his way to the place that he chose. There were a lot of whispers about him, but he heard someone say.
“ This man has killed 3 people, and two of them were the flamestone heirs. The whole family is furious right now but they can’t do anything to him because he is now a student of our raven academy”.
When Adrius heard that he had mixed emotions because he knew that this Flamestone family won’t leave him alone, but he was relieved that they can’t make any toward movs against him because he is a student in a magus academy.

‘ When I have enough power I should take care of this Flamestone family so nothing funny happens’ Promised Adrius himself.
“Attention everybody!! My name is Dominus and I’m the magus that is leading this journey, it will take us 2 weeks to get to the academy.” Said the bald magus from the registration tent. Then he continued with
“ There is 3 rules to this journey
No killing allowed Fights are allowed, but no serious injuries allowed. Don’t bother me unless someone got killed or paralyzed. “
After that Dominus’ voice stopped, from the beginning till the end no one saw him and just heard his voice.
Then there were some shakes in the ship, but it was just the ship starting to fly. When Adrius saw this he thought ‘ I have 2 weeks, so let me go around this ship and see if they have a library or I should talk to someońe and get information?’ Then he deleted the second idea, because from the looks he got he knew that no one wanted to talk with him. Fearing that he will kill them, of course he won’t do it. He wasn't a killing manic but if killing somebody brings him benefit then why not?
After all he was a scientist, it is right that he specialized in toxins and didn’t study any other thing except for biology, but he still counts as a scientist. But the problem here is his memories aren't complete, so he can’t remember a lot of his past life and can’t remember anything from his new life.
So basically his past knowledge is useless now because he can’t remember anything from it. So he needed to learn everything from the start again, which was okay with Adrius because ‘ As I remember my past world didn’t have magic so we used technology, but this world has magical technology so it will have better understanding’.

Just the thought of it made him shiver with excitement for the future. He then heard his stomach growl from hunger, ‘ I should go and find the restaurant’.
After walking for 2 minutes he entered a nice hall with an aristocrat style to it, he found a table and sat in it.
“ What can I get to you sir?” Said a male waiter, when Adrius sat he came directly.
“ i want the beef steak” Answered Adrius
Then after five minutes the waiter came back with the steak and walked away. After finishing it Adrius asked for the check, the waiter came and said
“ It’s one silver coin sir”
The former Adrius was of a noble family so he didn’t have a shortage of gold and silver. Of course these were the humans' currency, the magus used magical stones.
After paying he stood ut and asked the waiter a question
“ Is there a library here?”
“Yes there is one, when you go out of the door walk left and you will find it there”
After that Adrius walked out and went at the directions the waiter gave him, then he was met with a big door. He opened it and walked in, there were books everywhere. He then walked to some shelf and grabbed a book, it was called “History of the magus world” he was very happy because this can at least tell him what kind of a world the magus world is. So he sat on a table and started reading.
After 6 hours
“Sigh” Adrius let out a sigh and put the book down. At first it was hard to read because of the language but then it became easy.
‘ This magus world is really big! It is one big continent but it is divided into five regions, North, south, west, east and central. And each region is bigger than earth by five times. And that is not everything, they have other planets as their property too.’ He was surprised and full of admiration for the ancient magus who built all of this. From what he understood in the ancient times there was a war between the magus world and a world at the same level, both of them fought and no one came out as the winner. The losses were severe for both sides.
‘That was everything important in this book, I should read another’ He got up and grabbed another one but this one is called “ Basic anatomy”.
He needed to study this things so he won’t get stuck if he made an experiment
Like this 3 days past with Adrius sleeping and living in the library. Some people started naming him “ The murderous bookworm”. Of course Adrius didn’t care about all of that because he knew that if you have power then no one can say anything about you, and knowledge is power

The Sun's Remnant
Two people are transported to a world with magic, but it is no Wonderland. When the god of light died, he decided to take the world with him. At least, that’s what many believe in the Kingdom of Rhine, a once vast kingdom of which only a small corner remains — and even that is threatened. On one side, by the Twisted Forest, a corruption spreading from the deathplace of the gods that has already swallowed up most of Rhine. On the other, by the resurgent Kagrathan Empire, resurrected by the infallible God-Emperor Karlatz. A holy order of knights carry out their mission despite the death of their god. A band of talented misfits prepare for a heist out of their league — by stealing. Mages hunt for secrets even as the world ends. A ruler does what must be done to save the living, no matter the cost. Into this world of magic and murder, two adrift souls are inexplicably dragged: a mother estranged from her young daughter due to her own mistakes, and a young man with a love of fantasy who has gradually drifted away from his friends and family. As they each struggle to find their place in this world, they must also answer the question: do they want one?***Content Warning: I've drafted about 100,000 words (most of the first volume), and there is no sexual content so far, though I may add it in the future. There is occasionally gore and traumatising content as the story demands. I commit to keeping all of the above non-voyeuristic. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
