Chapter 8 : Zombie Apocalypse vs NOKIA User

For reason I did not know, I found myself in an abandoned building within the city. The only thing I had in me was a NOKIA phone.

It had the shape of a smartphone with a touch-screen but its battery always stayed at 100% no matter what. There was also a lock in the backside. It was quite easy to open as it's just like the locking mechanism on the laptop batteries.

As I opened it, there was a part where you could cover the phone screen and lock it together. There, a System message pops out on the phone as soon as the lock was undone.

[Congratulations on receiving the legendary NOKIA phone as the starting item.

This was a modified multi-purpose device with Infinite Durability and Infinite Battery. Best of luck on surviving the Apocalypse with this.

This item is bound to you. This item will always return to you when separated on certain distances.

Only you can access this item.]

After that, undoing and setting the lock did not give me any feedback at all—like it's a one-time button or something.

Basically, I got transmigrated into a sick-ass game-like world, with zombie apocalypse theme?

I checked the internet; it was still intact but all the stuff was from my old world.

As for the map, I realize I wasn't in the best spot since it was the big city and as hell, zombies would roam in massive amounts. Worst of all, I had no experience in this and I was all alone—but it's better than being with bad people.

Just as I thought about it, a zombie dashed inside the room! Its movements were so fast—I couldn't help but throw my NOKIA in panic.

(Not) surprisingly, the zombie exploded into bits when hit by the phone. There wasn't even any sound, but I could imagine the devastating sonic boom this overpowered phone would actually produce.

This phone one hit kill a zombie just from a badly thrown impact. As expected of NOKIA.

As the tension settled down, I checked my phone and there was a message.

[Congratulations on killing your first monster, Fast Zombie (2 stars, Level 29).

The difference of more than 20+ levels from the host and the monster, you received 2000% experience buff!

For achieving a monstrous feat, gain x number of Skill Points...

You're now level 20, x Skill Points had been gained

Gained X System Shop Points in total! (2000% bonus for level difference kills)]

...

Did I actually have any Status?

Oh, it was included in the phone apps. It was so plain I didn't notice it before.

Hmmm....wasn't this a bit too much of points? I could achieve so far in the skill trees just from beating an overleveled mob!

Let's just try my best with theorycrafting. I had played a game where I had to min-max my characters.

I spent my whole day being holed up in this building,

[Status]

Name: Takeshi

Class: NOKIA User (Legendary)

Attributes

Strength: B

Agility: A

Dexterity: B

Vitality: S

Intelligence: B

Charisma: S

I maxed Vitality as I need the best Stamina as a survivor and it also unlocks the immunity to zombie infection and it also gave me stamina and health regen.

For charisma, I need it to get the best deals out of the other survivors. For the rest, the NOKIA User skills already covered the rest.

I wouldn't explain the details of the skills since there were so many, it'd bore you to death. Basically, it's an all-rounder for solo but it's even better with a team.

...

I would focus on the most important part of the skills only.

At first, it was the Spatial Space as it allowed me to completely hide from the zombies, guaranteeing a good night rest and unlocking the ability to see what was outside while I'm in. Maintaining the space immediately took a toll on my stamina so I maxed my Vitality stat. As it reached S rank, it unlocked the stamina regen skill, which I also maxed.

It seemed you could adjust the size of the spatial space and the furniture. The maxed stamina regen would allow me to stay inside forever, with the necessary ones plus a bit of a leeway like the PC and Spatial Garden. It's nice I could freely adjust the size and the added stuff as I already maxed out the Spatial Space tree too.

The next thing I upgraded was the 'Status Anywhere' by raising my Intelligence to B level. Plus, attaching the approximate bar so I knew how much longer my stamina etc. Would last.

I also brought the necessary furniture with the System Shop. Stuff like the bed, bathroom, kitchen and also the exterior which was of a simple one-story house. The outside was only the view of the clear blue sky in the perpetual morning and the spatial garden, confined inside my house walls. The view outside was in the middle of nowhere, in a vast grassland with exotic looking plants and flowers everywhere.

Whenever I felt like going outside, I could disable the House, which took the most energy and takes a walk as much as I want while conserving even more stamina. I also brought the bicycle for relaxation purposes.

As for the other stuff, I have the Phone System make a 'Jack-of-all-trades' skill tree—consisting of the things you could do solo mostly. Stuff like scavenging, scouting, and combat sense.

I end up regretting it. With the conveniences I got after I leveled up, I don't have to do anything outside of Spatial Space; at least I could respect my points or I'd cry.

Since inputting all of those on phone was a pain, I did it on my PC.

Most of the hardcore parts were handled by my NOKIA User skills. That's how I could have so much skill points to the extent of maxing out my stats and skill trees.

It seems like the abilities were automatically given whenever I reach a certain level. At this point, I could use NOKIA to summon a Sniper Rifle and a Grenade Launcher, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Revolver, Pistol—all with infinite ammo as long you got the stamina to replenish it.

It's just deploying them with the ammo reserve which cost stamina. Also about summoning another batch of ammo whenever it runs out.

The best thing, you could do so in advance. The one who'd be using them the most wasn't me though.

At level 25, Bazooka and Rocket Launcher were available.

I could start summoning a Marine Hummer at level 30, Marine Tank at level 40—nevertheless, as I leveled up—never used them. Only the flying machines were viable to me.

It was great even throughout my adventures here, flying zombies did not exist at all.

Level 50 you could even summon support droids that could heal, do support fire and most importantly, best mechanic all around! With them, the droid army was self-sufficient.

Level 60 – combat droids! I owe them to work hard for me, along with the support droids. Plus they have a great AI so I rarely have to instruct them.

Flying vehicles like Helicopter, Military Shuttle and etc were available on the same range.

Giant Death Robot at level 70—wait, is this Transformers?

Nuclear ICBM device at level 80—instant wipe all zombies in a map, charging it with stamina points.

Space Mothership – Level 90 – abandon Earth, just go to another planet. Win button.

Level 99 is ????? but the description was – forget zombie apocalypse, you ARE the APOCALYPSE.

There was also stuff past Level 99 but to achieve it, the System said I need to get out of Earth first for it to activate.

I could still grind beyond level 99 on Earth—at least that's what the System was saying.

The vehicles also all ARMED with its set of weapons. The only cost to it was the stamina points you need to charge before being able to summon them, and they only needed the recharge if it's DESTROYED, not if you swap them around. The same with the weapons.

As expected of NOKIA.

..

The biggest downside was the stamina, so until I unlocked the Combat Drones, it was all manual grinding.

Wait a minute...

How about SENTRY GUNS?

Oh, they were present in the System Shop.

I brought one of them and used Teleportation, one of the abilities I got when I improved my Agility to 'A' rank. I maxed out the skill so it could get me furthest with the lowest amount of stamina.

I placed the Sentry Guns with sniper rifles and wired it to drain my stamina directly as the ammo, placing it at the roof of skyscrapers that zombies could not reach at all.

The thing about these monsters: their aim was GODLIKE. They're AIMBOTS in the most literal sense.

Of course, I deployed the sentry guns after surveying the area with the most amount of zombies. Sniper Rifle on Sentry Guns surprisingly did not cost that much stamina.

Satisfied with the setup, I went to sleep.

I mix and match the guns to get me the most farming with the short amount of time, while I could relax and do my own thing without having to worry 'bout stamina regeneration vs usage.

That's how I spent a few months, practically being a NEET.

Only after I got to level 50 and how the zombies seem to be endless in here, I summoned the flying machine went to another city and did the same thing.

Few years had passed and I mostly relied on the combat and support droids which apparently could level up on its own with their strength all identical to the strongest present.

Nuclear ICBM was useless. Takes too much stamina to charge and I'd rather take it easy—really, what a waste of space.

I was level 90+.

I hadn't met up with any survivors at all, it seems everyone was already dead and, or turned into zombies. It was so lonely but at least I could converse with the people from Earth via the internet. It seemed my high Charisma did affect my interaction with them also.

Though, my maxed out Charisma actually worked to boost the fighting capacity of the Droids...really?

All the BUFF skills which should only affect humans actually worked on them.

Anyway, the only instance I actually fight was that first time when I threw my NOKIA to the fast zombie. Didn't regret it. I didn't want to risk my life fighting zombies up front.

Another year had passed and I did not seem to age at all, even after spending five years being a NEET and letting the droids do everything. It's a good thing if I was immortal.

Few months after, I hit level 99.

I truly regret after I selected ????

I got booted from this world; returning back to my old world—apparently, time didn't pass by as long as I thought...

Knowing this, I'd rather move out of Earth with my spaceship and start another adventure.

Alas, all I did was to share my disappointment. Believe me, my experiences were true—this was not a delusion.

One more time, please believe me.
