My Husband Is My Professor And Boss Chapter 210

There were so many bruises on his beautiful beautiful face which made him look very ugly. A bandage was wrapped around his head. His eyes were closed and had a Ventilation mask on his mouth. There was a monitor on the side of his bed providing a continuous display of his heart rate, rhythm and oxygen saturation. All of those parameters were lower than the normal range which was a serious thing.
Emily recognized the man in an instant because that person was her lifeline. That person was her Noah. She quickly led her steps to the door. Putting both hands on the door tears started flowing from her eyes like a river.
For her, the world around her became blurred. Her respiratory system halted as if someone squeezed her neck. After a full two minutes later she mumbled. "No!" And then shouted, "NOO" She looked at the monitor and clutched her heart.
Seeing him like that, she broke down completely.
She lowered her head and leaned against the door. She looked up when she felt a touch on her shoulder.
Max was standing next to her who was also looking at his friend. Emily pointed her little finger towards Noah and looked at Max.
"He...he...." Nothing was coming out of her mouth except Hiccups and Sobs.
Max couldn't see her situation anymore and pulled her into Brotherly Hug. Emily wrapped her arms around him and began to cry on his chest.
"Don't cry. He is fine now." He lied to her. Noah was in a coma since morning and still was in danger. The next forty-eight hours were very difficult for him. They would know in this forty-eight hours whether he would die or live. He lied to her so that her mental condition would not get worse.
Meanwhile, Avery stepped backwards. Noah was not her relative. Noah was just a friend of her husband. Noah was just her friend's lover. But still, she was suffering unbearable pain in her heart. She was not feeling bad seeing Emily's dilemma but feeling bad for Noah. She felt a deep connection with him. Her eyes filled with tears. It was like her other part was suffering deep pain.
She had a feeling about Noah that was impossible for her to put into words. She wrapped her arms around herself and again stepped back. It was like she was going to lose someone close to her that she could not afford.

She lost her balance and her trembling body was about to collapse when two strong hands grabbed her in time and held her in place. She surrendered herself to him without taking a moment to recognize that touch.
"Alex..." She whispered his name with great difficulty.
From the beginning, Alex was standing there leaning against the doorframe opposite the ICU room. Avery was so busy looking at Noah that she didn't notice Alex's presence.
He wanted to pull her into Dear hug when he saw her in front of his eyes. From the last twenty-four hours, he was away from her which was silent torture for him. Every time he felt bad when he didn't pick up her call but it was also very important for him to get Noah out of that bloody mess in which talking to her could have distracted him.
Firstly he was so shocked to see that she didn't notice his presence. But now she was in his arms. She tilted her head and looked at him who was already looking at her with his intimate gaze.
"How it all happened." He grabbed her waist with one hand and with the other he pulled her hand which was pointing towards Noah. Along with his hand, he placed her hand on her abdomen, placing his chin on her head.
"This is a very big story." She turned in his arms and began to cry, burying her face in his chest.
"Shh... Don't cry. He will be fine." He started rubbing her back. After a while, he unwrapped his arms over her and cupped her face. He wiped her tears with the pad of his thumb. She put her hands on both sides of his waist and grabbed his shirt in a fist.
He was still in his yesterday's clothes. His shirt, which has always been tightened in the waist belt, was out today. He had wrinkles on his white shirt and was not wearing a suit jacket. His hair was messy and his eyes were tired as if he had run a marathon.
"I..i..." She was trying to say something but nothing was coming out of her mouth. She began to take a deep breath. Her eyes began to roll. And it was a warning to Alex that she was going to trigger now. He needed to get her out of there. He was about to pick her up in his arms suddenly Max called him.

"What?"
"Emily fainted due to shock, I'm taking her into the room." With that, Max took Emily with him.
After glancing at Noah for the last time Alex also left taking Avery in his arms.
Taking her in his arms, he came out through the back gate of the building. Her small body was so perfectly fixed in his arms that her face was not even visible.
He took her to the garden behind the building. In the large courtyard of the hospital, that garden was on one side and since it was evening so there was no one in that garden.
The garden was looking very beautiful due to the light coming from a short distance. He leaned against the trunk of a large tree and sat on the ground. He put her between his legs.
"Love.." he grabbed her head and pulled her out of his chest. "Open your eyes. Look at me." He shook her head slightly. She opened her heavy eyelids slightly and stared at him. She was breathing very heavily.
"Where is your inhaler?"
"M...my ba..bag," She said with great difficulty. Supporting her body with one hand, he grabbed the bag which was on her one shoulder with the other hand and found her inhaler. He put the tip in her mouth.
"Are you alright now." He asked as he took the inhaler in his hand. It was the first time since their marriage that he did not have an inhaler for her. True was, he had an inhaler but fell somewhere in the last day's encounter.
"Water..." She was exhausted.
Alex quickly pulled the bottle out of her bag and opened the lid and held it close to her mouth. She gulped the whole bottle in one go. After the bottle was finished he took it back from her and put it aside.
"Why didn't you answer my call? And what happened to brother Noah. Who did that to him."
"Shh..." He put his finger on her parted lips. "Slow down, Don't rush." He moved his head closer to hers and placed his forehead on hers.
"When you were calling me my priority was Noah. I needed to get him out of that danger." He took a deep breath, imagining the scene of the previous day. "You don't know how difficult was for me without you. I wanted to talk to you but I didn't want to be distracted in my mission."
"Now tell me who did it all with him and yes please I want to hear the truth. No more lies." She gripped his shirt on his chest.
"I had some work with Noah. I was trying to call him but his cell phone was switched off. Then I called his headquarter and then I found out that he had been somewhere since morning. I worked with all my sources to know his location and soon I found out his location. His location was showing he was in the woods of the west where peoples are restricted to go. When I arrived with my team, I saw his jeep with one another jeep and car at the outset of the forest. When I went very deep then I started to hear some noise. When I reached the spot, the sound of fire and gunfire was all around.
There was a battle between some of the army commanders whom Noah had taken with him and the goons. The number of goons was very high. But by the time I got there, the commanders had killed more than half the goons. Because of my man, the battle ended quickly and all the commanders were safe except Noah.
He was unconscious when I kicked him out of that field. His body was covered in blood. He had sword wounds and gunshot wounds to his body."
When Avery heard that horrible tale, she buried herself in Alex's arms more. Imagine that horrible scene hair on her body stood up. Her body began to tremble which caused Alex to tighten his grip on her body.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
