At first, she thought that Remus broke up with Niccy because she was a betrayer like her brother Nickolas.

She thought he agreed to marry Penelope because of that.

However, now, after finding out the truth, she knew that he agreed because of political reasons and he still has his dead girlfriend in his heart.

That's very pitiful....

And, painful....

All her anger on Remus vanished away and she could only feel heartache for him..

She no longer hates him because she is now aware of the reason why he baited her and didn't come on that fateful day.

He went to save his girlfriend and he would have died that day as well if not for his luck. Her uncle tried to seperate all of them and laid down separate traps.

However, Remus was lucky that day and her family wasn't.

It's just fate...

She had to accept that they both are victims.

"You were right, Sab. I shouldn't dwell on my past and live in that. I will soon get my revenge for Niccy, brother Seth and sister in law." Remus replied when Brina urged him to accept the reality and try to move on.

"Yes, I still can't forget Niccy, but, Penelope on other hand, she was extremely loyal and caring too. She took care of me in my weakest point and she never brought up about our marriage after finding out about I still couldn't forget Niccy"

"She loves me and convinced her dad to help me in all of this. And, she did this without expecting anything in return. She is a good person and she deserves a loving man" he said.

"I might not be that loving man but I know how that pain of losing the first love feels like. She might not be able to be happy even if she married another person." Remus added. He found out that Princess Penelope had a crush on him from their childhood and that she started living with him even before he and Niccy got together.

Her love for him is older than his love for Niccy.

So, he could really understand how much pain she would have gone through whenever she saw him with Niccy. But never has she tried to get in between them. In fact, if she would have wanted, with her status as Princess, she would have easily cooked up some plan to get close to him.

But, she never did it. She has been bearing that pain quietly...

When Remus found out about all this, he really started admiring her. They got close as good friends all this time...

But now, there is not much time to progress in their relationship at a slow pace.

"Given the conditions in my Kingdom and the unconditional love Penelope has for me, I decided to marry her, Sab"

"I might not love her as much as she loved me, but one day I would be able to move on with all the love she has for me. I am confident she will help me move on and make a special place for her in my heart."

"Besides this, as a person, I indeed respect her and admire her. And I am sure that she is a good and capable person, enough to help my sister in law in handling political problems" Remus said.

"I am totally okay with this marriage, Sab. Don't worry about me" Remus assured his best friend who returned to being his bestest friend again.

He missed his besty....

"You sure?" Brina asked, her heart heavy because of her friend's plight. Her voice cracking a bit.

She knows how much he loves Niccy. She saw their love with her own eyes....

Their love was phenomenal and so pure...

"I don't regret it, Sab" Remus answered.

"We all are here for you, okay? I am so sorry that I treated you so bad and made you feel terrible." Brina apologised.

"For that, I would never be able to forgive myself. And, I.. I.. never..th.. th" Brina couldn't help but get emotional when she thought about Niccy.

"Hey, don't blame yourself for what happened. It's not your fault. Even, you have lost your loved ones. As, for treating me terribly, I enjoyed it actually" Remus tried to lighten her mood.

Brina chuckled.

This guy!!

"I will treat you like it then," she playfully said, chuckling between her sobs.

"Sure! As you want, little devil" he chuckled.

"Take care" he added and then ended the call.

"I feel bad for him," Brina said.

It's late at night and they are not yet asleep.

They are cuddling in the bed after their love making and that is when she got news about Remus' marriage from Eliina and she was a little shocked because she knew that he didn't move on yet.

"He made his choice and let's hope he will be happy." Louis said, kissing her shoulder from behind.

"It's good that Remus retrieved his kingdom. Now, rebellion is not as strong as it is before. With all of us combined, we will easily overpower them."

"Louis, it's time for our next attack. Even, waiting for a few more days would turn the tables against us again" Brina said as everyone sat down for breakfast.

Their first attack was on the underworld organization which was the illegal yet strongest help to Rebellion.

Their second attack was done by Remus and it successfully severed the power, funds, military help from Remus's Kingdom.

Their third attack has to be the biggest strike...

"All right.. all right, love. No need to panic or hurry. Nickolas and your cousin brother are doing their work very well, so we have time and we can plan this attack with cautiousness." Louis said, rubbing her back when he felt her hurry.

"Yes. Edward is right, princess. You have suffered enough all these years, alone and helpless. Now, leave it to all of us and enjoy your pregnancy time" her father ruffled her hair affectionately.
