"Louis might have told her about this. You know that he shares everything with Brina.

Anyway, I am relieved to learn that she would not be directly implicated on this. However, we are yet to find out why Brina deliberately made herself a victim in this, even after knowing that this might happen. Let's see" Charlotte said, before giving the blood samples to Eliina.

Meanwhile, Olivia was beatific after her 'glorious' victory. She right away went back to her suite and couldn't stop herself from opening a champagne bottle.

Owen, who just followed her inside and

sighed.

"You got what you want, little sister. What about me? You promised Brina would be in my bed soon and may I know when that 'soon' will come?" he asked, annoyed because of his self centred, egoistic sister.

Olivia filled the champagne in two glasses and gave one of it to her brother.

"That 'soon' will come when we eliminate Katherine as well. As Brina didn't even reach the end line, her rank will fall down drastically.

Moreover, given with how pathetic she looked, I am sure that many people would be coming to the conclusion that she is just 'a passing cloud' but nothing more than that." Olivia told him, taking a sip from her glass.

"I have actually thought of going easy on her for your sake, brother. But that slut didn't appear at medical quarters. If she would have come, we would have simply implicated her in a drug use case and banished her. And this horse plan would have got focused on Katherine" Olivia scoffed.

Her previous plan was to eliminate Bruna by drug consumption case and use this Hungarian horse plan on Katherine.

If everything would have gone as she planned, Brina would have been on her brother's bed and Katherine would have been on a hospital bed instead.

It would have been killing two birds with one stone. But Brina spoiled it by not showing up and when Owen asked her to select in between Katherine and Brina, she made the right choice by making Brina her immediate target.

It would have actually been Katherine who would have gotten that Hungarian horse, but Olivia changed the plan and asked Queen mother Greta to modify the 'horse selection' process by giving the drugged, Hungarian horse to Brina.

"Anyway, everything went as we planned. So, after we eliminate Katherine, we will just be left with Princess Penelope as our last threat. However, she seems not interested in Prince Edward" Olivia said.

"Don't worry about that. Our maternal grandfather is already looking into it. When the time comes, Prince will have no one but you to select" Owen said, lifting his glass in a congratulating gesture. But little they know that Brina has just their own tables against them.

And, pitifully, they would not even have a hint who is doing all this to them.

The next morning…

Brina woke up and found Hailey sleeping on the couch. Except for the mild headache and dizziness she could be considered as good. In addition to this, she felt a little weak and hungry.

Sitting back on the bed, with her back leaning onto the headboard, Brina used her free hand to take a glass. She gulped the water in one go and relaxed a bit. Everything that happened yesterday flooded back into her mind and she couldn't help but smirk.

Yeah! She smirked because she knows that she will be the ultimate winner.

Whatever Olivia is trying to use on her, for Brina they are like a kid's game. She is already past this stage to get fooled easily.

She had much more tough days in her past and she had come across more despicable acts all along her life. Meanwhile, Hailey woke up because of the faint sounds in the room and immediately noticed that Brina was awake.

"Hey, are you fine? Should I call a doctor?" Hailey asked, rather worried as she hurriedly approached Brina.

"I am good."

Brina flashed an assuring smile for which Hailey sighed and relaxed a bit.

"By the way, how is that horse doing right now?" She couldn't help but ask.That poor creature was the most pitiful victim in this devious act, an only innocent pawn apparently. Hailey chuckled.

"It's good I guess. Don't know what has happened to it, but I heard that it's totally fine. However, there are rumors flying around, that it was totally your fault that you couldn't handle that horse and in turn, made it fall down " she said.

Brina chukled, a dark shade of malice passing her eyes. 'Olivia might have given the antidote as soon as the competition completed. And, this has also made it clear that Queen mother Greta is helping her.

Ahh… how despicable.' she thought.

If this is not called as Greta's misdeed, then, what could it possibly be called? A coincidence?? Out of all twelve horses present, only she got the horse which was drugged!

It was not a mere coincidence nor it was her distressing misfortune! This is a blatant jeopardising one could not even think of!! In the meantime, the doctors have also got the news that Brina woke up.

Just as they were asked, they made a call to their Prince and informed him. Louis who just went back to the palace was not at all himself. He didn't even get a wink of sleep.

He badly wanted to stay behind and take care of his love but he couldn't afford to expose his relationship with Brina. Especially when his father caught him red handed, shedding a tear.

These are the times when he cursed his fate for not having the liberty to be himself. These are the times when he feels a sudden urge to strangle his brother to death, for being this selfish.

Here he is, almost facing hell for not being able to be there for his girl, when his brother is enjoying his honeymoon in Maldives. Isn't this quite unfair? Louis smashed the last bottle to the ground and it was when his phone vibrated.

That was the call from hospital staff to inform that Brina is awake. He immediately sighed in relief and hastily dressed himself before hurrying to the hospital.
