With a gun fire, the race started.

As soon as everyone started accelerating speed, they widened the space between themselves while they tried to take their own directions depending on their strategy.

The first ship to drastically decelerate is Kiara's boat. They couldn't control their kicker and entered the no end Zone.

So, the ship drastically reduced it's speed and by the time they changed the angle, other ships speeded up.

Slowly, Phoebe and Rebecca got out of race too. The wind is blowing too fast and unpredictable.

After a few minutes,

Amelia and Katherine got stuck when both of them tried to take the same course. Just with a few feet between them, they somehow managed not to collide.

Though there used to be sailing competitions before, it was not this tough. The ships, the wind power… everything used to be little normal.

Now, because of masquerade themes which depict power and virtue, the competitions have toughened.

Meanwhile, Princess Penelope who was in the same direction as Katherine and Amelia didn't have an option but to change the course.

In that mean time, Brina and Olivia have almost neared the endline with Olivia a little nearer to the endline compared to her.

"We will second for sure" Charlotte clapped.

She never thought they would reach this level too. Thanks to Brina's spontaneous reflexes and fast judgement skills. They are able to avoid and mishaps and reach till here.

"Nah. We will win" Brina smirked.

That's the reason she selected this ship.

As the wind has set to downwind with respect to their ship angle, Brina decided to change the angle from 60 to 90 degrees and she changes the mast direction to slant position.

As her ship can hold even to strong wind and she has taken risk now. Due to this, their speed increased by a significant amount, taking Olivia off guard.

She never expected Brina would risk this much.

And, before she could change the course and compete with Brina,

Brina has already reached too near to the endline.

Changing course now is futile for Olivia.

"Ahh… who the hell is that woman?? I never thought she would risk this much! Their ship would have lost control" Olivia grumbled.

"Maybe she is a professional sailor. Who knows? She just got lucky, Olivia. Leave about it for now" her brother condoled his angry sister.

Who could blame her? She got accustomed to winning and her struggle has just begun!

Meanwhile…

"We won!! We won!!" Charlotte jumped in joy and hugged Brina. Soon Hailey joined her and they three hugged each other.

Louis who is looking at them pouted secretly.

He is not getting to hug her. If he would have got a chance, he would have surely twirled her in the air and kissed her lips.

But, all he got now is to kiss her hand and congratulate her.

So sad!

"Brina, you have to go down and bring our House flag from the cabin. We have to hoist it" Calvin said.

"Louis, you have to leave your seal on it as well. Why don't you go with Brina and complete it" Charlotte discreetly said, so others might not notice them talking.

Louis grinned and followed her downstairs. He immediately pulls her into a hug and he is about to kiss her, but his Royal guards who have just boarded the ship and came…. however they froze.

They are shocked by what they witnessed..

Their Crowned Prince is hugging Lady Brina!!

Louis cursed their timing and let go of Brina who is trying hard not to laugh. 'I will have my own way with you, tonight… hmph! Laugh as much as you want' he childishly thought.

"Well done, Lady Brina" he formally said.and gestured to his guards to follow him upstairs.

Yes, yes, how could they forget that hugging is a friendly way of congratulating?

Their Prince was never formal like their ex Prince Ethan.

Later, they hoisted their House flag and everyone congratulated Brina.

Till now, they have not seen her as a potential candidate.

But now…

The way she turned around the circumstances to her favor, has indeed tied all of them in awe.

She would have predicted this and would have decided to take Ketch as her boat.

"Taking risks isn't a suitable quality of Queen" Olivia who came to congratulate her, said in a firm tone.

"It is not" Brina agreed with a smile.

Olivia is about to smile in victory but the next words made her seal her lips.

"However, if we are sure with what the outcome is and if we have given enough time to think about it, taking risks is not a bad thing."

"Sometimes we have to call the shots to protect ourselves and people. So, taking risks have to be one of Queen's attributes. But she should have a perfect grip on what she is doing" Brina said.

Olivia gritted her teeth.

She didn't think Brina had such an acrid tongue. She is totally different from what they all have predicted.

Her voice has that power…. the power of making others oblige to her.

"I agree with Lady Brina in this. My parents always say the same words" Princess Sophene intervened.

"Congrats, Lady Brina. The best team has indeed won" she said to Brina in a friendly smile and then left with her team.

Katherine didn't know whether to feel sad or happy.

She is happy that Olivia didn't win.

But at the same time she is sad that a new candidate has come into picture.

"Congrats, Lady Brina. I am happy that you won" Amelia said, with a genuine smile.

"Thanks a lot, Lady Amelia." Brina replied.

"We should meet for breakfast or lunch, sometimes," Amelia offered.

"The pleasure is all mine, Lady Amelia. How about tomorrow for lunch?" Brina asked.

"Yes. A definite okay" Amelia said and then she left too, leaving Brina and her team.

"You know what she meant by that?" Calvin asked, happily.
