On the other side….

Nolen is almost shivering.

The pin drop silence from the other side is making him more and more anxious. He wanted to talk, however, his words were stuck in his throat.

It's been more than a few moments yet none of them made any sounds. As Louis is teasing her mercilessly Brina is almost out of her breath.

Meanwhile, Nolen is on the verge of losing his sane self and he stuttered over his words. "He.. hello?"

Listening to his quivering voice, Louis chuckled and then, he let Brina talk.

Brina relaxingly leaned on her boyfriend, skin to skin, making each other feel hot, desire flaming through their heart.

Holding herself, Brina cleared her hoarse throat.

"You have actually dared to search for me! Didn't I already warn you not to do that?" Brina asked.

Her electronic voice was more deep and dangerous, sending the chilling shivers down on Nolen's spine.

"Sh.. sh.. shadow, I was just being cautious. As my uncle has betrayed me, I could no longer trust anyone. Ho.. hope you understand me." he said, shivering a bit.

"Cautious.. huhh? You ruined your own plan, you fool. It would have been more convenient for you if your uncle would have been unaware of your doing. But now, when he called you, you actually made him suspect you." Brina said, her electronic voice sounds more angry and dominant.

Nolen felt his legs shiver and almost go soft. Anxiety has taken control over his body, making him lean on to the nearby pillar for support.

"How.. how do you know that my uncle called me?" he asked. Except for him, no one knows about this deal he had made with the gang.

Shadow found out about it and he is aware of it. But how did he/she find out about his phone call which just took place five minutes back.

"I have my eyes everywhere, Nolen. At least after what you learned today from those people, you should have a nerve not to believe in my power. However, going back to our main discussion, I must warn you to be extra careful with your uncle."

"I made this call to tell you that I will no longer help you. I am not interested in messed up plans and the people who don't believe in me." Brina said.

"Moreover, I can directly take a strike at Brina. But with you involved, I have to take a detour of eliminating your uncle first and then strike at my target. And, I am a busy person to care for all these things. So, let's part our way or else, you will regret it!"

As Brina is aware of her cousin's mindset, she is very confident that he will now gonna plead her, beg her to help him. Now, having the upper hand, it will be easier to manipulate him.

Meanwhile, Nolen lost all of his energy and he stumbled on the floor. His legs finally gave up.

Handling Brina was already tough for him now. In addition to that, his father is not helping him in anything. To be precise, he is opposing him now.

With all these people standing in his way, things have already been tough and extremely tight. If his uncle gets added to his problems, he is sure he will suffocate to death.

His uncle is not an easy man to handle!!

"Shadow, you have to help me! I don't know what's your rivalry with Brina but you see, we have the same target in our minds. Let's aim for it together." Nolen said.

Brina almost laughed. Even now, he is not stepping down from his pride and ego.

"Work together? With a fool like you, I will be dragged back and it will become more difficult for me to complete my mission. Nolen, I am not a jobless person like you and Brina is just one of my many targets. I don't have time to work with an impotent and stupid man like you! Prove me if you are worthy then I will see how it's gonna turn out." Brina told.

Nolen felt as if he was being slapped directly.

Impotent?

Stupid?

Fool?

He was called all these names by someone and how can he not take the challenge??

"Shadow, what can I do to prove that I am worthy. Whatever you will say, I will do it for you and prove myself that I am good enough to work with you." Nolen accepted the challenge.

On the other side, Brina couldn't help but smirk.

So arrogant and so stupid of her cousins are!! The biggest flaw in them is they have grown up thinking themselves as superior to everyone and no one can outrun them in aspects of intelligence and power.

Louis chuckled and whispered into his girlfriend's ears, "Time to end Nolen, babe. Let's do it."

Brina nodded her head and let him kiss her lips before parting away to let her talk. This is the last step to Nolen's end and it has to be played cautiously.

"That's the spirit I want, Nolen. But, I am not good at giving second chances and your challenge will be a lot more difficult than you would have expected. And, you must have the guts to face it. If you are up for it, I don't have any problem in compiling." Brina said.

Still, she doesn't understand why Nolen is so inclined to kill her. If he really wanted to have her mother's properties and the orphanage, there are many ways for him to achieve it.

Killing is not the only option.

But, Brina has seen people like Nolen who have that bloodlust boiling in them. It is their impulse nature and egoistic heart that makes them so violent and aggressive.

As he was raised in the environment where no one has ever dared to speak against him or drill some rational thinking into his mind, he got accustomed to that winning kind of feeling.
