"Didn't think of anything yet. But, let's see what my uncle has in his mind. But in the meantime, I will ask my men to investigate about him and to also keep an eye on him." Brina said, smiling a little.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm down her racing pulse.

"If you want, I am here to help you as well." Louis said, squeezing her hand which is resting on her thigh.

Brina smiled gratefully and took his hand into hers, before kissing it and resting it against her cheek. She closed her eyes once again, as if drawing the comfort and warmth from his presence.

"I know that you will always be there for me just like how I will always be here to support you no matter what." Brina promised after a few moments of silence. However, she is not yet aware how much these words would come true, impacting on their relationship more than anything.

Louis smiled back and shifted their entwined hands near his lips. "Forever and always." he promised.

After that, none of them talked for a while, enjoying their love for each other.

"At first I doubted my grandfather's intentions too, but once I observed him carefully I realised that he had actually changed, honey. It might be because he experienced the pain of losing somebody and never getting them back. I am glad that my accident helped me to get my grandfather." Brina said happily, after a few minutes.

"Indeed! And, on the brighter side, you can see that everything is happening well and good after I came into your life. I am your lucky charm." Louis teased.

Brina laughed, her eyes forming a crescent shape. "It's actually so true. You are the light in my dark life." she told him.

"Likewise, honey. You totally changed my boring and routine life into something more interesting and lively. You have actually changed a piece of wood into a cheesy man to be precise." he chuckled.

"You are beyond cheesy!!" Brina laughed and kissed his cheeks. As he is driving and she doesn't want to distract him, she didn't dare to go further.

Soon, they reached the penthouse and quickly got freshened up.

Later, Louis went to cook while Brina did some meditation on the balcony. After meeting her grandmother, she felt nostalgic.

She couldn't help but remember her mother who resembled her grandmother. All in sudden, Brina started remembering her country and the rest of her friends there.

She still has a family in her native country who are thinking that she is dead in the fire accident.

Her godparents, her paternal cousins, her sister-in-law's family.. many people.

But sadly, she can't meet them yet or go back. It will put all of them in danger including her.

It's better this way.

"Brina! Dinner is ready, love. And, I have something exciting to tell you, come on." Louis said, coming into the balcony. He sounded excited and his little smile was enough to let go of her sad thoughts.

Brina smiled, thinking 'But, I found another family here. A family more beautiful and happy than them.'

But deep down, she still missed those people excluding the ones who betrayed her and her family.

"Ms. Girlfriend, what are you thinking?" Louis asked, waving his hand in front of her eyes.

Brina blinked her eyes and shook her head slightly. "Nothing. Just some random thoughts." she truthfully said, clinging on to his arm.

"I have more juicy stuff to share here." Louis told, taking her into his arms and lifting her suddenly. Making Brina yelp and snake her arms around his neck.

"What's that?" Brina asked curiously.

"Not gonna tell till you eat first." Louis said and smirked. "You should complete everything in your plate all right?" he said.

Brina pursed her lips. She is actually planning to eat a little because of all the roller coaster thoughts she had been through.

He indeed knows about her!!

"All right." Brina pouted and sat down.

After dinner, they laid down on the couch together. Brina on the top while Louis cuddled her.

They were wrapped in a soft and warm blanket with a row of melodious songs playing in the background.

It was so peaceful that Brina felt her heart turn light and sweet again. He is her emotional harbour.

"Now, tell me." Brina asked Louis who just chuckled and kissed her nape.

"I am not gonna tell but show you." Louis said and turned on the TV.

It was Nolen.

And, this is a video taken by one of Louis's men. Louis insisted that he wanted to share her burden, so Brina didn't had any option but to let him handle Nolen's matter.

In the video, Nolen was waiting at one of the warehouses for someone. He seemed so frustrated and impatient, tapping one of his feet continuously.

"My plan worked!" Brina smirked.

"Yep, ma'am" Louis kissed her.

"After you sent him a video and message, acting as Shadow. He decided to make an investigation on you. He is waiting for the people he paid to get your information." Louis explained.

Brina smirked and let out a sarcastic chuckle. This is exactly what she planned.

"So soon? I thought he would at least think for three or four days before taking this step." Brina told Louis.

"You are indeed right about him, Ms. Genius. Your cousin is very impatient and when he is impatient or in a hurry, his brain won't work much. There is no wonder your grandfather wanted you to take the shares. Your cousins are really spoiled to an extent they don't even think by themselves." Louis told.

"I guess, odds are on our side that he is walking right into the trap more and more deeply." Brina chuckled.

"I am glad he is doing this. After all, this impatient nature of your cousin has become the catalyst to our plot." Louis chuckled.
