She was stunned. She saw the excitement on her husband's face and how could she tell him that she wasn't pregnant.

Yan Mor Tee was waiting for her answer and because of his excitement, he didin't notice the sudden change on his wife's expression. "Are you?" he asked.

Song Dei Si gave him a faint smile and shook her head. "I'm not pregnant."

"Oh!" A sudden disappointment registered Yan Mor Tee's face.

"Yet." Song Dei Si added. She cupped Yan Mor Tee's face as she said. "Because our little Mor Tee is still a work in progress."

Yan Mor Tee nodded. "Right!" He said and his hope lifted up again. "So what's the good news that you are going to share?"

"This news was announced by Master Chef Li yesterday.."

Master Chef Li...

His expression turned sour again and suddenly he wasn't interested on her good news.

"Our finals is coming and the cook off will happen in national tv"

"What do you mean?" He was suddenly interested when she mentioned 'national tv', does it mean that his wife will appear on the tv screen?

"Our performance will be assesed on his tv cooking show. There will be segment where we will showcase our cooking skills and from there we will be graded by the topnotch chefs in the country today." She said.

"I see..." Yan Mor Tee said without too much enthusiasm.

"Hey, why does it seems that you are not happy with this news. Are you afraid that I will not give you face?" She snorted.

He pinched her nose as he answered "I'm happy of course but I'm a little bit worried..."

"Worried of what? That I will not pass the test?"

"Silly. I know how great you are so I'm sure that you'll get high grades. What I'm afraid of is you'll be seen on national tv and you'll get more admirers."

Song Dei Si laughed to her heart content. "What's that insecurities you have there, Mister? From what I remember, you are the most conceited, arrogant man alive on earth."

Yan Mor Tee just gave her a blank stare.

"Mister, what are you afraid of? You're the best husband that every woman's dream of. I'm not that stupid to look for anybody else"

Yan Mor Tee's mood got better. He pulled her closer and kissed her.

"Just making sure." He said and promised himself that he will always be on the lookout, not because he don't trust his wife but because he don't trust all the men around her.

Madam Yan was standing outside the villa as she waits for Yan Mor Tee and Song Dei Si to get home. She was calling Yan Mor Tee but he did not pick up the call. She called Song Dei Si instead.

"Mom!" Song Dei Si answered from the other end and was a bit surprised to receive a call from her mother-in-law.

"I was calling Yan Mor Tee, but he didn't answer my call. Where you at? Are you with him?"

Madam Yan asked worriedly. When she learned from Old Mster Gu that Yan Mor Tee went out for a road trip using his big bike, she suddenly felt restless.

Song Dei Si looked at Yan Mor Tee and made a gesture to look at his phone. He picked it up from his jean's pocket and saw a multiples missed call from his mother.

"He is with me, mom! His phone was in silent mode so he didn't catch your call. We're having dinner here at the restaurant at the bay area" she answered.

A sigh of relief was heard from the other line. "Okay, just take care when you get home." Madam Yan said and hang up the phone.

"Why did she call?" Yan Mor Tee asked.

"She is looking for you and when I said, you're here with me, she just said to take care when we get home then she hang up the phone.

"She must be worried." Yan Mor Tee said. " She didn't want me to drive the big bike anymore after that incident. I guess she was more traumatized that I was."

Song Dei Si fell silent. She understood her mother-in-law's feeling. She must be so scared back then.

And yes, she must be more traumatized to see Yan More Tee riding his big bike again.

Who wouldn't be? She almost lost her son in a big bike accident.

"We must give her an apology when we came back. We should not leave without asking her permission first." She said. They should have respected her mother-in-law's feelings in the first place.

"Okay, will do." Yan Mor Tee answered.

"Let's go home after our dinner." She said.

Yan Mor Tee frowned "Let's have a quick walk in the baywalk first."

"Okay, but we must be home before 9PM."

Yan Mor Tee gave an okay sign.

"So where are they?" Master Yan who was standing right next to Madam Yan asked his wife.

"They are dining at the restaurant at the bay area now." Madam Yan asnwered.

"I told you, they are fine. So don't worry too much." Master Yan said. He felt so stressed earlier as he watched his wife walking so restless because of worrying.

"How should I not worry?! It was my son who rode in his big bike again?!" Madam Yan retorted.

"But aren't you glad that your son has overcome his fear in riding the big bike again?'

"No. I wanted him to stay away from his bike. To stay away from a possible accident again."

Madam Yan said and the tears that she was trying to hold back then has rolled into her face.

Master Yan hugged his wife as he tried to comfort her. "He is with your daughter-in-law. Do you think your son will do anything to harm her? He would be more careful on the road and ensure not to meet any accident not because he was afraid of harming himself but with hers."

Madam Yan let out a loud cry, because her husband was right. Yan Mor Tee loves Song Dei Si more than himself.

She should be glad but why she could not.
