Lee Chin Mei gaze locked to that boy who has an infectious smile. She suddenly felt a pang inside her heart and moved her gaze to the car window. The traffic has started to move slow. She looked at her wristwatch and it was only 3:30 in the afternoon. Normally, the traffic during that time was smooth flowing. There might be accident somewhere along the way. She probably reached her brother's place around 4:00 PM if the traffic situation will not change. She felt that her eyes were a bit heavy so she closed her eyes. Trying to calm her emotions.

Meanwhile Lu Jiaosheng was about to lose his temper because of the slow moving traffic. He was about to meet one of his prospective clients to discuss a possible partnership. He will be meeting the heiress of Wu Corporation. He will present the portfolio of his company and offer its services to be the WU Corporation's technology partner in providing an AI technology. Wu Corporation will be going to be his biggest partner in case he won the deal. But now that he was stuck in traffic, he might just lose this opportunity. The meeting will be held at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and he need to past through three more streets before he reached the Wu Corporation building. He personally picked this time of the day since this was the most relax time to travel but for some reason, the traffic has started to move slow. He looked at his wristwatch and it was already 3:50 in the afternoon. He took a deep sigh and out of frustration, he hit the steering wheel. He helplessly moved out of his gaze from the car in front of him because it was not moving. His gaze went to the the side of the street. There was a handful of passerby. He was about to turn back his gaze on the road when a random girl who was wearing a school uniform caught his attention.

That girl looks familiar to him.

That girl....

Was the girl he had a one night stand in Hong Kong.

Was was she doing here in China?

And was she wearing a school uniform?

So that means that girl was a local resident here in China? He was looking for that girl in Hong Kong, when all along, he could only find here in his home country.

His heart skip a beat.

He was about to alight from his car and was about to approach the girl, when the car behind him was giving him a horn, because the traffic has started moving now.

He started panicking and don't know what to do. He looked at the girl again who was walking at the side street and saw that she entered in a building.

He looked at the building and realized that it was the building where Lee Jin's Ho's pad at.

So Lee Jin Ho and that girl was living in the same building?

How ironic?

He was still lost in thoughts, when he heard several horns again and a cuss from the driver on the car behind him. He was so frustrated and started driving again when he realized that he also had an important meeting to attend to. He just consoled himself that at least he now have an idea where that girl lives.

Lu Jiaosheng arrived at the Wu Corporation at around 4:15 in the afternoon. He wasn't sure if the CTO will still meet him given that he was 15 minutes late of their appointment. He may still lucky tho that Wo Charie still met him and gave her a welcoming smile.

"I'm sorry, I've got stuck in a traffic." He apologetically said.

"Yes, I know there was a minor car crashed that had happened on the next street around 3:15 in the afternoon hence the traffic around the area." She said "Have a seat!"

Lu Jiaosheng nodded and sat on the couch of the CTO office. The woman who was sitting across him was not a stranger to him anymore. He has known Wu Charie from his University days. She was one of his classmates and one of the brightest among their batch. She was quite popular too because she was not only smart, but she's pretty too and came from one of the affluent family in Beijing. She was his good friend.

Wu Charie's assistant turned on the projector on her room and he started to open his laptop for his presentation. While presenting, Wu Chari could not help but admire Lu Jioasheng. Her crush to this guy has already been long overdue. She has been liking him since Uni days but he has a girlfriend at that moment so she didn't have a chance with him. So she at least tried to befriend him. Being his friend was a chance for her to know him better and her feelings fo him grown deeper too as days went by. But she could not make any move because he was already engaged at the age of 20. She was so broken hearted that time and transferred into another University just to forget him. They lost contact with each other and then one day, she learned from one of their common friends that he broke off his engagement. She tried to be close to him again but then he tried to shut his world to anyone except for his bestfriends when he was in Highschool.

And last week, their paths crossed again. They both attended a Tech Summit and she learned that he was still single and running his own tech company. As the Chief Technology officer of their family owned business, they were in-need of a tech firm partner who will support innovations on their techonology department so she didn't lost her chance to be close at him again. She thought, a good partnership in business was a subtle way to win his heart later on.

Lu Jiaosheng presenteted lasted for 30 minutes.

"Do you have any questions?!"

Wu Charie got startled. She wasn't listening actually to what he was saying because she will just say yes whatever it was that his company was offering.

"I've no question right now..."

Lu Jiaosheng smiled "So what's the verdict?"

"I have to present this proposal to our next steerco meeting and by then we will have the decision."

"Understood!" Lu Jiaosheng nodded.

"But I'm pretty impressed with what you have presented"

"Well thank you for your kind words, Ms. Wu."

"Cut the formality. You can just call me by my first name like we call each other when we were in Uni."

"I just hope that the job will be awarded to my company not for the mere fact that we're friends but because you have confidence on our services." Lu Jiaosheng said in a teasingly manner.

Wu Charie laughed "Of course! And just what I have said, the decision wether we will get your company is not mine alone. We have to discuss this during the steerco meeting first. I'm just the CTO of this company. I can just give my recommendation but the decision will still came from the CEO"

Lu Jiaosheng nodded and closed his laptop and has started preparing to leave.

"So I just wait for the decision then" He said.

Wu Charie saw that Lu Jioasheng was about to say goodbye to her any moment now and she started to be alarmed inside. She wanted to spend more time with him.

"So are you going back to your office after this meeting?" Wu Charie asked.

"Nope. I have some other important things to do after this." Lu Jiaosheng said. The truth was he wanted to leave now so he can look for that girl again. He was planning to visit Lee Jin Ho at his pad to check on him if he happened to see a random highschool student from his neighborhood. He knew that it was just a slim chance that Lee Jin Ho would know his neighbors but he will exhaust all means just to see that girl again.

"I see." Wu Charie was quite disappointed. She wanted to ask him for a coffee however it seems that it would be a bad timing.

"Let's have a coffee some other time on the account that we're friends. My treat!" He said

Wu Charie mood has got better. "You already have my number right?!"

Lu Jiaosheng waved his cellphone and smiled "Yep! It is already saved."

"Give me a call then!" Said Wu Charie.

"Yes of course." Lu Jioasheng started to stand up. "I have to leave now."

"Okay! Thank you for your time today!"

Lu Jiaosheng extended his arms. "Same here. I hope it's not going to be our last business meeting."

Wu Charie gave him a big smile. "I'll send you off!"

"Thank you."

Lu Jiosheng immediately called Lee Jin Ho after he reached his car at the building's parking lot. But he wasn't answering the call.

It almost 5PM, and he wasn't sure if Lee Jin Ho was already at his pad. But just the same, he has decided to drop by since it was just near from where he at.
