Tan Ji Nan softly pinched her chin "Our foods are now ready!" He distanced himself to Ho Min Lin and stood for few minutes without moving before he strode off to pull out the containers from the microwave.

Ho Min Lin pouted. Wasn't she more delectable than those reheated foods?

Her gaze followed Tan Ji Nan as he washed his hands with water from the faucet.

She could not understand him, why did he stop when she was about to give in?

She felt frustrated deep inside but when she heard her stomach grumbles, she followed Tan Ji Nan and forgot everything that happened earlier. Her eyes were drooling when Tan Ji Nan opened the container lid and saw the garlic shimps and crabs. She loves seafoods so much and Tan Ji Nan knows how to make her heart happy. She was about to pick a shrimp with her bare hands when Tan Ji Nan softly tapped them.

"Go wash your hands first!" Tan Ji Nan said.

Ho Min Lin remember that her hands travelled to Tan Ji Nan's torso earlier so she teased him "Why? Aren't you clean?"

"Silly, it always nice to wash your hands first if you're going to use it when eating foods."

Ho Min Lin nodded and immediately went to the sink and washed her hands with soap and water.

When she came back, he saw Tan Ji Nan peeling off the shrimp's skin and told her to open her mouth after he finished peeling off all the shrimps.

She excitedly opened her mouth but when she was about to munch it, Tan Ji Nan put it on his own mouth then munched it.

She gave him a dagger look.

Tan Ji Nan softly laughed and picked another piece of shrimp and told her to open her mouth again.

She gave him a warning look as she opened her mouth.

This time, Tan Ji Nan put them inside her mouth and gave him a crab meat as well.

"This is so good!" Ho Min Lin exclaimed. She picked up some shrimps as well and put them inside Tan Ji Nan's mouth too.

Due to excitement, when Tan Ji Nan was giving her a crab meat, Ho Min Lin put Tan Ji Nan's fingers in her mouth too and licked the crab meat sauce on it.

Tan Ji Nan was stunned. He looked at Ho Min Lin and she innocently licked his fingers from top to bottom until there's no more crab meat sauce there.

This woman was asking for trouble.

Ho Min Lin looked at Tan Ji Nan and saw his pained expression.

He didn't bite his fingers, why was he in pain?

"Are you hurt or something?" She innocently asked.

Tan Ji Nan did not answer her and strode off to the bathroom.

Ho Min Lin was worried and followed him. She knocked at the shower room door. "You okay? Is your stomach ache?" She asked. She thought that maybe Tan Ji Nan was having a stomach ache due to the crab meats? Is he suffering from indigestion or food poisoning?

But she was quite fine and they ate the same foods.

"My stomach is okay!" Tan Ji Nan shouted inside the shower room.

"But you looked like you're in pain? You sure you're okay!"

"Yeah, I'm okay, I'll just took a shower and I'll be fine."

Ho Min Lin knitted her brows. How does taking a shower would help him ease that pain?

"Okay...Are you done eating?" Ho Min Lin asked.

"Yes!" Tan Ji Nan answered in a helpless voice.

"I'll finish all the crab meats and shrimps then..." said Ho Min Lin and she did not wait for Tan Ji Nan's reply and went back excitedly to the dining table to finish all the shrimp and crab meats.

After 20 minutes, Tan Ji Nan went out from the shower room and saw that Ho Min Lin was still eating at the dining table.

"Don't eat too much, we're about to sleep in awhile and it would take time for you to digest all that."

"But these are really delicious. Are you sure you don't want to eat anymore?" Said Ho Min Lin.

Watching a glutton like Ho Min Lin eating the seafoods like there was no tomorrow made Tan Ji Nan wanted to munch some shrimps and crab meats again. He joined her to eat the remaining foods.

"Let just watch a show on tv later while we digest the foods in our tummies." Ho Min Lin suggested.

Tan Ji Nan agreed. But he will ensure that they would watch a documentary show and not a romantic movie.

"Go take a shower now!" He said "I'll wash the dishes."

Ho Min Lin smiled at Tan Ji Nan "You're the best!" She said and gave him a peck.

Tan Ji Nan curled up his lips.

After Ho Min Lin took a shower, she went to the vanity area and dried her hair. After that she joined Tan Ji Nan at the sofa while he was watching a documentary show.

She looked at the screen and asked him.

"What is the documentary all about?" She asked.

"It about how the male eagle wants to mate the female ones."

Ho Min Lin's face blushed "Really? How?"

"It's quite interesting. They say that if an eagle saw the one that he likes, or if he wants to mate, they will show off their wings flapping or tail fanning. They will also do some intricate moves of a mating dance to woo their prospects."

Ho Min Lin suddenly got interested too.

"Look at that one. He was interested on the female eagle. So he is showing off how strong and dependable mate he is by displaying its flamboyant colourful feathers." Said Tan Ji Nan

Ho Min Lin laughed "That bird was a show off!!! Woah! His wings are fabulous! If I happen to be a bird, I'll definitely choose him."

Tan Ji Nan chuckled "So you always go for someone who's goodlooking, no wonder you got me!"

Ho Min Lin raised her brows and was suddenly immersed on the tv screen.

"Oh I think I like this one. The male bird is building a nest before mating. Showing off a territory they can both depend on...." said Ho Min Lin.

"Right!" Tan Ji Nan agreed.

"So they really have some courtship rituals. Amazing!" Said Ho Min Lin "Oh wait, can you see that, I think the female bird agreed and accept that male bird to be her mate. Are they going to start mating now?" Ho Min Lin's eyes widened in disbelief due to excitement.

Tan Ji Nan could not help but be amazed by her reaction. Specially when Ho Min Lin's mouth opened when they finally started mating.

His woman was so innocently charming.

"Oh, so they were like humans. Monogomous in nature. They will engage in extra-pair copulations " said Ho Min Lin. "They will look for a new mate partner every mating season." She added as she looked at Tan Ji Nan.

Tan Ji Nan twitched his mouth. Was she implying something?

He pulled her closer to her.

"I promised I would not be just like them. I won't mate with any other woman aside from you moving forward" Tan Ji Nan said.

"Will you be looking for another mate partner after I die?" Ho Min Lin curiously asked.

Tan Ji Nan didn't know how to answer her.

"Just be honest..." Ho Min Lin said.

Tan Ji Nan looked at Ho Min Lin. Will he ever find another Ho Min Lin in this lifetime?

"Nope." Tan Ji Nan answered "I will be loyal to you until my last breath"

Ho Min Lin smiled "If I die first, don't restrain yourself in finding a new mate..."

Tan Ji Nan felt uncomfortable on where they conversation were going. "Let's take some rest now." He said and looked at his wristwatch. It was almost 2 o'clock in the morning.

"But I'm not sleepy yet!" Said Ho Min Lin.

"It's almost 2AM already. We need to get enough sleep for tomorrow's activities. We only have few hours in the morning to enjoy the beach." Said Tan Ji Nan. It was their last night in the island and they will return home tomorrow.

Ho Min Lin agreed. Tan Ji Nan turned off the tv.

"Carry me to the bed" said Ho Min Lin coquettishly.

Tan Ji Nan scooped her and carried her. He slowly put her down into the bed. He climbed to the bed afterwards and lied down beside Ho Min Lin.

"Sleep now..."Tan Ji Nan said.

Ho Min Lin propped her head with a hand and looked at Tan Ji Nan.

"Sing me a lullaby..."

Tan Ji Nan curled up his lips.

Such a baby.

He pulled Ho Min Lin into his embrace.

He started humming love songs.

Ho Min Lin quitely listened to him.

Tan Ji Nan continued singing a lullaby to her.

Until her breathing became slowly and steady.

He kissed her forehead then shut his eyes too.
