Madam Tan noticed the visible anger on his husband's face and turned her head on the direction that he was looking at and understood the changes on his expression.

She saw the Yan's family having a good conversation over dinner with the in-laws. It also made her heart pained in a moment and have thought that The Tans and the Yans should been on that spot. But all she could do was wishful thinking.

"Honey.."

Before Madam Tan could say the things she wanted to say, Master Tan already stood up and stormed off from the place.

Master Yan suddenly stopped with what he was saying when he caught sight the side view of Master Tan. His gaze followed him until he disappeared from his sight.

"Jao Yan..."

Master Yan looked at his wife.

"I thought you were saying something."

Master Yan regained himself and apologized.

"I forgot what I'm about to say!"

"Dad, that's a sign of aging!" Said Yan Mor Tee, teasingly.

"Yeah, this folk is getting old...." said Master Yan and made a deep sigh.

Master Yan was quiet the whole trip back home. He was somewhat caught in a big thoughts and Madam Yan was nervous during the whole journey. They might meet an accident because Master Yan was not focused on his driving.

"Stop the car!"

Master Yan abrutly stopped the car in the middle lf the street and that made Madam Yan almost ejected from her seat. Good thing the next vehicle was 2 km away from them.

Master Yan was shocked and got back into his senses and drove the car to the side and parked it.

"You okay?" He asked Madam Yan and checked hee face with too much concern. He couldn't forgive himself if he saw a small bruise on her.

Madam Yan nodded but was still shocked by the sudden stopped.

"I'm okay, but it was you that I'm being worried about. What's bothering you, Jao Yan?"

Master Yan turned his gaze at the windshield. "I saw him."

"Who?"

"Jingming."

"Jingming..."

"He was at the Shila Hotel earlier."

"Did he see you?"

"I don't know."

Madam Yan did not say another word. It has been 7 years since her husband alienated himself from his circle of friends because he lost his face when he broke the agreement he had with Jingming. He could not face him again.

"It's been 7 years but the pain of turning my back at him is still here..." he lightly poked his chest.

"Jao Yan..." Madam Yan didn't know what to say. All she could do was to hug and comfort him.

Jingming was his husband's bestfriend.

And he lost him.
