935. Flavor of the Potion (1)Translator: Guy Gone Bad
“Those people of Gu family has used some poison in the Fire Continent. Those star magicians stranded in there all died unluckily.” Said Wei Pengfei.
Chu Jun coldly smiled and said, “The Gu family is much more heartless than Mo Fei. Mo Fei only used it in a certain area, but the poison they used has covered such a large scope.”
Wei Pengfei squinted his eyes, on the surface, the Gu family said that they aimed at holding justice for people, behind, they only did some nasty things. A bunch of as*holes!
“It’s a very powerful poison, I heard, stronger than soul-killing potion.” Feng Ru said.
“I heard from my grandfather that the poison the Gu family released this time is of the highest quality of divine class. After the poison was released this time, the fire continent would be inaccessible for hundreds of years.” Tang Jin said.
“Highest quality of divine class?” Wei Pengfei could not help but open his eyes wide in surprise.
The status of poison pharmacist was not high, and despised by people, some pharmacists would study poison, but, generally they wouldn’t go too deep.
Highest quality poison of divine class? It was obvious that Gu family’s research on poisonous potions wasn’t one day or two days’ thing.
“I heard that Gu Yan has also participated in the research.” Chu Jun said.
Wei Pengfei sneered, “He doesn’t have that ability, but those old as*holes deliberately put him on the same height with Mo Fei.”
But, who is Mo Fei, and who is Gu Yan? Not on the same level at all! Comparing himself with Mo Fei, he’d feel more despaired. Some day, Gu Yan would find that Mo Fei was someone he could never catch up with.

Tang Jin gave a wry smile. Without Mo Fei, Gu Yan could also be rendered as a super talent. But now with Mo Fei’s existence, he was only a foil, while they weren’t even qualified to be a foil.
“I heard that the Gu family used a very large dose of poison, but most of which was absorbed by a monster beside Mo Fei.” Feng Ru said.
“You mean that ball-like monster? That monster is definitely not a mundane. When Mo Fei was living in the herb capital, those heavenly class masters who got poisoned rented a place next to him. But finally they couldn’t stand the little sea monster’s noise and moved away. The little sea monster was only at the earth class then, now, I guess he should be heavenly class.”
…
Fire Continent
The little sea monster was merrily rolling on the ground, with his rolling, wisps of the poisonous fog came into his body.
As Mo Fei saw the little sea monster so enjoying it, in his eyes couldn’t help surging upsome kind of envious feeling.
“Only the little sea monster can live so comfortably here now.” Mo Yi shook his head.
Zheng Xuan shook his head, “Nah! Cang Qian also lives quite at ease.”
Mo Yi nodded, “Yeah, you are right!”
Zheng Xuan narrowed his eyes. According to what Xiao Jin said, Cang Qian is just a bird, an evil monster, so is the little sea monster. So the evil monsters’ vitality is more vigorous than human!
…
Mo Fei stayed in the laboratory, a variety of pharmaceutical knowledge, like the tides, surging into his sense sea.
Mo Fei suddenly gave a scream and fell to the ground.
As Lou Yu heard that, he immediately opened the door and burst in, “Feifei, Feifei, what’s wrong with you? Are you okay?”

Mo Fei closed his eyes, leaned into Lou Yu’s arms, having a huge headache.
Lou Yu looked at Mo Fei tensely, “Mo Fei, Mo Fei, are you all right?”
Cang Qian came in and said lazily, “Stop shaking him. Didn’t you see that you already made him dizzy? Gee. Really have no brain! Still too young.”
“What’s wrong with him?” Lou Yu looked over at Cang Qian while asking anxiously.
Cang Qian shrugged his shoulders and said, “What’s wrong with him? Look at his appearance, should be greedy for rash advance and have absorbed too much knowledge of potions. Young men are always so impulsive.”
“If you hadn’t cheated Feifei by saying that the bubbles would break in seven days, Mo Fei wouldn’t have exerted himself.” sulked Lou Yu.
Since they were really worried that Boss Lou and other kids would be unsafe after even days, they decided to transfer the kids out of here first.
But Cang Qian suddenly told them that it was just a joke that the bubbles would burst after seven days. He lied to them.
“I just made a joke, who knows you all bought it? Actually, use your brain and you will know. Who am I? I am Cang Qian. How could the bubbles made by someone like me could break in seven days?”
Throwing him his dagger eyes, Lou Yu held Mo Fei to leave.
Cang Qian turned over a white eye, thinking in the heart: How dare he stare at me? Young people nowadays are so rude. He even threw a stare at me! Moral degeneration!”
Mo Fei had been in coma for two days.
Early in the morning on the third day, Mo Fei suddenly woke up, “What’s the date today?”
“Fifth.” Lou Yu replied.
“Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?” complained Mo Fei.
Lou Yu patted him on his shoulder, “you calm down a bit, Cang Qian was lying by saying we only have seven days. Don’t push yourself too hard.”
Mo Fei’s eyes widened and he said, “More than seven days?”
Lou Yu nodded, “yes!”
Mo Fei took a deep breath and said, “That’s good. I’m going to the lab.”
Lou Yu hesitated a little, “How about you have a rest first?”
Mo Fei gave a wry smile and said, “No, time is life!”
Then he sighed lightly, obviously he is a lazy guy, but forced to become a model worker! This is life! So elusive.
…
Mo Fei stayed in the laboratory, all kinds of star herbs turned into liquid potion over Mo Fei’s fingertips.
Mo Fei slept for two days, but in these two days he was not idle.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
