881. Getting Robbed (1)Translator: Guy Gone Bad
Cheng Mobai, eyes sparkling, looked at Mo Fei, “My disciple, you are back so soon. Any progress?”
Mo Fei nodded, “Yes! Shifu, I think I got some clue.”
“Really?” Cheng Mobai looked at Mo Fei with great surprise, then asked with joys, “My disciple, are you serious?”
Mo Fei nodded, “According to what I’ve been observing and studying in the woods, I found that, all things mutually reinforce and neutralize each other, so I think in Cang Qian’s tomb, maybe there’s the antidote there.”
Cheng Mobai looked at Mo Fei, embarrassed, “My disciple, having studied for so long, you mean this is your progress?”
Mo Fei nodded, “Yes!”
Cheng Mobai drew a deep breath, helplessly saying, “My disciple, you can eat any food as you want, but you can’t say things as you want.”
Mo Fei shrugged his shoulders, “I said that is very possible. A soul-killing potion with such big dosage in the ancient tomb, it’s not impossible that it’d grow star herbs that could detoxify it.”
Cheng Mobai, “…Even if there is such star herbs in it, you can’t take it out!”
Mo Fei nodded, “That’s true! But maybe Lou Yu would have a chance after he proceeds to the late stage of heavenly class.”
“Wait till he makes it to the late stage? Alas, I’m afraid I am already dead then.” Cheng Mobai shook his head.
“Shifu, how can you not trust Lou Yu? You should know about Lou Yu’s qualifications. You can’t get promoted to the late stage of heavenly class, but, Lou Yu definitely can.” Disagreed Mo Fei.
Cheng Mobai, “…” Even if it is a fact, this guy doesn’t need to say it out loud!

Lou Yu came out carrying Boss Lou. “What are you doing here?” asked Mo Fei.
“I’ve just got the new news. About the Chiyan Fire Thunderbolt.” Lou Yu said.
Mo Fei blinked, full of surprise, “Ah! News about the Chiyan Fire Thunderbolt? That thing is nutrition! Absorb that, and you’ll probably made it to the middle stage of heavenly class. I’ll go with you.”
Cheng Mobai said, face sunk, “My disciple, at such a critical moment, you still have the mood to care about that damn thing? Your job now is to refine potions. As for that silly thunderbolt, I will snatch it back for you.”
Mo Fei had a twitch of his mouth, “Shifu, look at your smooth skin. Forget about whether you can find it. Even if you find it, what if it burns you?”
Cheng Mobai, “…My disciple, how can you not believe in my abilities?”
Mo Fei patted him on the shoulder, “Shifu, you’d better stay here. Having stayed in here for so long, I can’t figure out anything. Maybe after a visit outside, I’ll have some inspirations.”
Cheng Mobai said grumpily, “Don’t think I don’t know. You loafed on your job.”
Mo Fei smiled awkwardly and said, “Shifu, you are really discerning!”
“Get out of here.” Cheng Mobai yelled.
Mo Fei smiled and said, “Well, then I’m leaving.”
“Wait a minute.” Cheng Mobai stopped Mo Fei.
Mo Fei looked at him, “What?”
Cheng Mobai said with a sad face, “If other heavenly class masters ask me, what should I say?”
“You tell them, there should be star herbs in Cang Qian’s tomb that could detoxify them.”
Cheng Mobai snapped with a wave of his hand, “Get out of here! Such bad idea!”

If he really said that to those people, he might get killed by those bastards, and of course, if others told him that there’d be an antidote in the tomb, he’d want to beat them, too.
Mo Fei gave him a look and said with a smile, “Then I gotta leave, shifu.”
“Get lost! Get lost already!” Cheng Mobai snapped with a wave of his hand.
Mo Fei and others then took the flying ship and left the herb capital.
Zheng Yu, Su Wudi and Boss Lou sat together and were playing a game called ‘You press me, I press you’.
Mo Fei looked at Boss Lou, eyes beaming.
“Lou Yu, our son was born a few months later than Zheng Yu. But it seems our son is even stronger!” Mo Fei said with confidence, clenching his fists.
Lou Yu nodded, “Yes! Zheng Yu is as thin as a baby chicken compared with our son.”
Zheng Xuan glanced at Lou Yu and said blandly, “My prince, people all say all brawn and no brains. You shouldn’t let your son eat so much. What if he gets more and more simple-minded?”

At The Precipice
Defenseless. Scared. Alone. That describes the life of Brock Carter as of late. Following his ‘death’ at the hands of a vicious magpie, Brock is rescued by the machinations of the newly instated, all-powerful System and thrust knee-deep into a brutal world catered only to the strong. Fluctuating between two states of being and trapped within a city ravaged by time, he is told to either seek out the mysterious ‘Source’, or die trying. He just hopes he can do it without scuffing his expensive suit in the process. ***** Honestly, I've just always wanted to write a story. I had a crack at it a few years back, but the entire thing fell apart before it even began. At The Precipice was originally written as a way for me to destress and play with System elements and characters, but eventually I decided that if I was gonna write, why not post it too? Writing's just a hobby of mine, so don't expect this to be at published novel level, I guess, or even anything of relative polish. Updates every Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs-Fri Average chapter length is 2000 - 3000 words ***** What to expect: - A semi-comedic/light tone, mixed in with a gritty world and brutal survival (not ever grimdark though) - An MC that thinks about what he's going to do and why he'll do it, even if his internal logic is lacking. Is a rather rational person, not often influenced by his emotions, but can be in extreme situations. - A plot heavily focused upon the MC, but one that will branch off to envelope the other characters in the world at times. Often, it's just other people's perspectives of him. - A story of power growth. While the MC is certainly going to be powerful, even over 100 chapters in from what I've written, he still isn't the strongest being on Earth, let alone the entire Multiverse. - Lots of gore, vivid fight descriptions, and often times deaths of people, some even somewhat important to the story ***** Things this story will never have: - Harems - An edgy, villainous MC - An MC that does jackshit about things for 'plot reasons'

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
