730. Mo Fei’s Assumption (2)Translator: Guy Gone Bad
But, Chen Fan’s father was Chen Xiaoyao, a master even her father feared of. So Ye Qingcheng could only regard Chen Fan with special respect.
Thinking that she kept expressing her good feeling about him, Chen Fan just chose to ignore it. So she even started to doubt her own charm.
Chen Tianmiao smiled and said, “Miss, that guy even feels shy to look at you, so that’s why he acts like that.”
Ye Qingcheng shrugged and said, “Maybe.”
As he went out of Ye Qingcheng and Chen Tianmiao’s sight, Chen Fan could not help breathing a sigh of relief.
He made a wry smile, the first twenty years of his life was very ordinary. In the face of such an outstanding women Ye Qingcheng, he always felt kind of depressed, especially beside her there was also a Chen Tianmiao. He had ever heard that Chen Xiaoyan had a bastard son, he always doubted that it was Chen Tianmiao.
Chen Fan shook his head and then walked into Mo Fei’s lab.
As Mo Fei saw Chen Fan, he was taken aback.
He said surprisingly, “Chen Fan, it’s you.” Seeing that Chen Fan hid by Ye Qingcheng’s side, he could do nothing, but now this guy even offered himself to him.
Chen Fan looked at Mo Fei’s shining eyes, “Mo Fei, want to draw my blood?”
Mo Fei nodded and said, “Of course.”
Xiao Chen moved over, “Mo Fei, be gentle!”
Mo Fei gave him a stare, “Rest assured, I know what I am doing.”
Mo Fei turned his head and looked at Chen Fan, “Fan, you can rest assured. Drawing blood will not have bad influence on your health. Drawing blood often is actually beneficial for your health.”

Chen Fan smiled helplessly and said, “Mo Fei, do it, I don’t mind.”
Mo Fei looked at Chen Fan, full of praise, “I knew you are a real man, and you won’t be afraid of blood drawing.”
He then took three tubes of blood from Chen Fan’s body.
Chen Fan looked at Mo Fei and asked, “Mo Fei, do you have any progress in your research?”
Mo Fei looked at Chen Fan and said, “It’s not going too far right now, but I have an idea.”
“What is it?” Chen Fan asked.
Mo Fei then said, “Turn this kind of cold poison as our own use. As you can see, every time Mo Yi absorbed the cold poison out of your body, he would make progress, if, you can use this kind of poison, maybe, not only you won’t suffer from it, but also your strength would be by leaps and bounds.”
Chen Fan’s eyes were wide open, “Would there be such a good thing?”
Mo Fei chuckled awkwardly, “In theory, yes.”
Chen Fan, “…”
Looking at Chen Fan, Xiao Chen added, “From our current research, the top ten poisons are the top ten poisons, and it is almost impossible to remove it, so we thought of using it.”
Mo Fei nodded and continued, “We’re going to use this cold poison to transform your body into acquired xuan ice body.”
Chen Fan lowered his head. He knew about that. But that required super talent of the cultivator.
Chen Fan blinked and looked at Mo Fei, “Is this workable?”
Mo Fei nodded. “Yes, but it’s still just a theory. As for how to do it, because there’s no precedent to follow, I’m not quite sure. If we really put it in practice, we need your cooperation.”

Chen Fan looked at Mo Fei, “What would you like to me to do? I can cooperate.”
Mo Fei froze there for a moment, “Chen Fan, you really trust me!” If he said this idea to anyone, he might be taken as a madman.
“Nothing could be worse than my present situation.” Chen Fan said lightly.
Mo Fei frowned and said, “I just have this assumption, but I haven’t thought of how to carry it out. If we do it, there will be risks. Maybe you will…”
“I shall die…” Chen Fan asked faintly.
Mo Fei shrugged. “Maybe it’s not that bad. Maybe your father will find a way to save you before then.”
Chen Fan smiled bitterly and said, “Mo Fei, just do it. I’m not afraid of death…”
Mo Fei looked at Chen Fan’s death-defying expression, thinking: you are not afraid of your own death, but I am afraid!
Mo Fei looked at the smile on Chen Fan’s face, thinking: It seems Chen Fan doesn’t trust Chen Xiaoyao.

Kardin lived a happy and good life. That is, till he was given a strange orb by an even stranger man, maybe even a demon. He watches as his village is burned, the villagers slaughtered and his friend devoured. He escapes into the Jungle of The Gods, a place of ancient ruins and deadly animals. There, he is changed and his fate diverges from what should have been his death. Now he must forge his own path in a world of great beauty and power, where death lurks around the corner and battles between veritable gods are fought. Where nations clash and ancient beings destory civilizations on whims. But unseen cogs move under the surface, events transpiring beyond simple understanding. Strange and powerful items called Artifacts have started to reappear across the land of Auren, empowering their wielders far beyond what cultivation can give. The Traezar Empire and all of Auren are on the precipice of war and strange beings have started to emerge, all with an agenda of their own. Chaos is brewing, and Kardin must survive it, all while trying to attain vengeance and understand his strange and anomalous Katra. ***Current Schedule*** I am currently releasing 1 3,000(Sometimes I end up writing waaaay more) word chapter halfs every week. If there is not some sort of notice as to why I have vanished, then I'm probably dead. Let's hope I don't die then, eh? *Ducks under flying knife* I own this cover, put my own blood, sweat and an hour of my time into it. Ahahaha! This story is inspired (I stress this word, as because most of the story is different) by Will Wight’s Cradle. I highly recommend you read it! (Please for gods sake, if you have something to say, please do it in a curteous fashion. I don’t need any more maniacs flying at me and trying to stab me with sporks, I am already insane enough to fill that role.*Winks*) **What is This Story?** Think cultivation mashed with western fantasy, put into a pot to boil and then drunk while it's pipping hot. All the while a mad man(me) cackles insanely over the pot, stirring. It draws from xianxia lightly, which means no exasperated angry young masters. No “genuis” or “prodigy” MC, one that is not OP, or anything of the like. If you don’t like cultivation novels, this might still be up your alley. MC focuses on “Life Shaping”, see poll 2 for more Info. Warning! If your are squeamish, that gore and traumatizing content tag is there for a reason. I shall dive into both bloody and disturbing scenes and the questionable ethics of manipulating life, and some of it won’t be pretty. With a dose of realism added in. I do add my own evi- I mean despic- no, sorry, interesting twists aswell. >:) Also, I HATE info dumps! *Steps out of the way of a charging semi* Still not dead! Arc 1 (Kindling): Chapter 1 - 13 Arc 2 (Metempsychosis): Chapter 14 - 29 Arc 3 (???): Chapter 30 - ??? A disclaimer, I am new author and am still feeling out my limitations. This story is my hope of bettering my writing skills and to have fun. Buckle up and enjoy the insane journey that is Katra. (Pronounced as cah-tra)

Iron and Wood - A Tale Of Empire and Clans
For centuries, the Midlands had been split into fragments. A once glorious, united Empire has become a shadow of its former self. Unity has not returned, and not for the lack of trying. The greatest of these successor states were the Li Dynasty to the south, the rulers of old, and the Emerald Empire to the North, with its vibrant vitality. Unity is the end goal, and both will sacrifice anything to attain this elusive dream. For unity would surely solve the conflict that had long plagued this once prosperous continent. The Ironwood Clan was a prime player. Some would consider them the ones holding the reigns to the horse named 'Unification'. Iron and wood were the backbones of civilization; similarly, the Ironwoods were the backbones of the Northern Empire, and by extension, the people of the Midlands. Their methods, as questionable as they might be, had strengthened the North. Yet, were they enough? In the midst of it all, a young Ironwood who had lost his path must once again find his way. For the sake of his own wellbeing; for the sake of his clan; and for the sake of the Empire and its subjects. However, is he willing to sacrifice for the good of all? Is he willing to condemn some for the sake of others? Is he willing to make the right, albeit harsh, decisions? Only the heavens would know. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, events and incidents are the products of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Additionally, any views and beliefs expressed by the characters are not the author's own. The story is also not an endorsement of any actions taken within. The 'profanity' and 'sexual content' warning tags are there to be safe (and to leave room for potential future changes), but for now these two things are not inside this novel. This is my take on 'cultivation', though it might be somewhat disconnected from the general idea of the genre. Release schedule: Two chapters a week. The cover was created using wombo art. While I believe that creations using the app are in the public domain, if that is not the case, I will take it down.
