Chapter 450: Got Fooled Again (2)Translator: Guy Gone Bad
Lou Yu raised his eyebrow and asked, “What’s it?”
Qian Ye took out a piece of dragon-shaped gold from the space ring. “This is the Dragon Soul gold. It is no less good than the Phoenix Blood gold! Never expected such a poor guy would have such good stuff, but pity it’s a bit small. It’d be great if it’s a little bigger.”
Lou Yu smiled and said, “Congratulations!”
Qian Ye held the Dragon Soul gold, and his face beamed with pride. “It looks like I’m going to be lucky!”
Mo Fei glared at Qian Ye and said, “All right, don’t be complacent. However lucky you are, you’d only stuff that Bloodthirsty Ghost’s belly if we encounter it!”
Qian Ye reluctantly gave Mo Fei an eye.
Xin Mingyue looked at Mo Fei and others, asking, “Senior brother Mo, do you have any plan?”
Mo Fei heaved a helpless sigh and said, “We haven’t found the Psychic Herbs yet. We have to keep looking.”
Xin Mingyue frowned and said, “Where are you going to look for it?”
Mo Fei shrugged. “Xiao Jin said he knows.”
Xin Mingyue was full of surprise, “Mo Fei, you still believe him?”
Mo Fei rubbed his nose embarrassedly, “I have no other choice.”
Hearing Xin Mingyue’s questioning, Xiao Jin issued a low roar at her.
Mo Fei looked at the appearance of Xiao Jin, helpless patted on its head, “Xiao Jin, be reliable!”
Xiao Jin nodded, clapping his paws against his chest, making growling sound.
“What did he say?” Lou Yu asked with a look of disgust.
Mo Fei said helplessly, “he said he is the most intelligent and the most reliable.”
Lou Yu was silent for a moment, then said slowly, “Yes, I think it would be better for us to try our luck than to trust this unreliable guy.”

Mo Fei pursed his lips and blinked hesitantly.
Xiao Jin flew onto Lou Yu’ heads, violently scratching his hair.
Mo Fei looked at Xiao Jin and said, “All right, lead the way.”
Xiao Jin jumped off Mo Fei’s shoulder on hearing him.
Mo Fei followed Xiao Jin for more than two hours, and detected a snake cave with the spirit force.
Mo Fei frowned and said, “Xiao Jin, are you sure there’s psychic herbs in the nest of the Golden python?”
Xiao Jin nodded hurriedly, indicating yes.
Lou Yu looked at Xiao Jin and asked, “Before, you led us to nest of Blue Sky rocs because they are your natural enemy. Now you are bringing us to the nest of the Golden python. Is this nest of Golden pythons also hostile to you?”Visit website our Listnovel.com
Xiao Jin growled furiously at Lou Yu, pawing at the ground.
Lou Yu squinted at Mo Fei.
Mo Fei sighed helplessly and said, “Xiao Jin said that you insulted his dignity and he wants to have a duel with you.”
Full of disdain, Lou Yu replied, “This little thing has dignity? It is ridiculous.”
Mo Fei, “…”
Dai Rao hesitated a moment, “I do not know if there is psychic herbs in the nest, but it is very likely there’d be Dragon Transforming herbs.”
Hearing the words of Dai Rao, the look in the eyes of Xiao Jin became erratic.
Mo Fei looked toward Dai Rao with great interest, “Dragon Transforming herbs? Wat is that?”
“It can elevate the blood of serpents, as well as the blood of flood dragons.” Dai Rao cast an eye at the little golden flood dragon.
Lou Yu seized Xiao Jin, blustering, “There is no psychic herbs at all. You take us here only for your own benefit, right?”

The little golden flood dragon rubbed his paws shyly, as innocent as a child who had done something wrong.
It really gave Mo Fei a headache, “Sure enough! We shouldn’t have trusted this guy.”
Mo Yi crossed his arms and tilted his head. “Young master, what shall we do now?”
Mo Fei took a deep breath, “Since we are here, we can’t make a trip in vain. Let’s grab the herbs for Xiao Jin.”
As Xiao Jin heard Mo Fei’s words, he immediately got heartened.
Xiao Jin wagged his tail and rubbed his head against Mo Fei from time to time, acting like a spoiled child.
Lou Yu’s arms were folded, eyes darkened. “Mo Fei, you are spoiling him. Now he always takes us as fools.”
Mo Fei heaved a helpless sigh and said, “Come on, he is still young.”
The little golden flood dragon raised his head and roared for a few times.
Lou Yu blackened his face, “What bad words does he say about us this time?”
Mo Fei shrugged and said, “He said you have no morals, and that you bully the weak. Shame on you.”
Lou Yu, “…”

Dungeon's Path
The only places I have posted the story and allow it to exist are on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub, and my Patreon. So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything. Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story. Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon. The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday. Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
