Finding himself a quiet place to train inside the pokemon park, it was quite hard to find a place with no people around, since this is a very big city many people and trainers come here to either see pokemon battles for free or to train their own pokemon.

Many trainers face off against each other to get better while others stick to their usual training and avoid battles so that their strategies cannot be stolen by other trainers. ​​

Julian also preferred to train alone because the level of trainers found here are too weak and will never pose a challenge to his pokemons, the best way for his pokemons to train is to battle amongst themselves.

Once he found a quiet place he released all his pokemon and told them to train among themselves while keeping his focus on three pokemons in front of him, Skrelp, Clauncher, and Floette.

Julian decided to use Floette as she has not battled for quite a while, Skrelp battled last time in Lumiose city but the battle ended too quickly, and for Clauncher his last battle was against the gym leader of Coumarine city, the gym Julian challenged right before Lumiose gym.

After thinking for a while he decided to go with Clauncher, he plans to keep Skrelp on the bench from now on, he will need to evolve before he challenges any other gym in the future. Since he is still way behind his limit he will not evolve any soon and at this stage evolution matters because at his level some pokemons have already reached their final evolution while Skrelp is still stuck in his current state.

As for Clauncher, he is holding back his evolution, he has already reached his limit and has mastered his elemental energy, he just needs a push and he will evolve and that is what Julian plans to do.

Julian "Skrelp, go and train with others"

Julian sent Skrelp away and looked at Floette and Clauncher, while Floette is modifying her battle style due to her evolution and perfecting her energy, Clauncher is at his limit and Julian cannot teach him anything new till he evolves, after giving it some thought Julian decided to make them battle.

Julian "You both will be battling against each other, you both can go all out"

Julian said and cleared up some space for them to battle each other, both Floette and Clauncher took their stance facing each other with a very serious look plastered on their face, though they are family they all have a healthy rivalry among themselves and no one wants to be the weakest of the batch.

To become the best of the team is very hard and not everyone can get that spot, it would mostly be a fight between Julian's best pokemon like Doublade or Porygon, and now there seems to be another new contender who is growing strong very fast and that is Charmander, as for the other spots there is always a rivalry between his other pokemons to claim that spot.

Sometimes they might be placed in third place and sometimes they get placed at the bottom last, there doesn't seem to be a fixed ranking amongst other pokemons in Julian's team.

The same happened with every other pokemon that belonged to Julian whether it was in Unova, Sinnoh, or Hoenn, the first and second place contenders were always fixed while others would struggle to hold their place in the ranking for more than a week.

Just like in this region, Julian's best pokemon are Doublade and Porygon, and defeating them was very hard for his other pokemons.

In Unova, the first and second place was held by Darmanitan and Kyurem and if Kyurem is not involved then it is Escavalier.

In Sinnoh, the rivalry between Garchomp and Crystal was never-ending, no other pokemon in that team to catch up to them.

In Hoenn, it was Metagross and Tyranitar. Kanto was the only region where his pokemons had a power difference between them but the gap among the ones who ranked low was not that big at all, one had a victory over the other regardless of the ranking, only Infernape held onto the rank of number 1 and no one could steal it from him, then came Snorlax, at third place was Heatran, Gyarados was 4th place, Gengar was 5th, Electivire was 6th, Venusaur was 7th, Pidgeot was 8th, and Kabutops was 9th.

As Julian looked at the determination in Floette and Clauncher's eyes, it reminded him of his other pokemons from the past, they were just like these two, always wanting to one-up the other and Julian never stopped them from competing against each other, it just helped them train harder and if things ever got out of hand he would always step in and stop them.

Julian "Start the battle"

Julian gave the signal and both of them started the battle without a second to waste, Floette floated up in the air and used Magic Leaf, while Clauncher saw the incoming attack and snapped open his big claw and like a sharpshooter countered with Water Pulse which was shaped like a bullet.
