Julian thought as he looked at the energy square cage that has trapped Diantha's Gardevoir inside it, even a Champion level pokemon can be trapped inside one of these traps. ​​

Julian sent a mental message to Gengar and asked him to follow the balloon, he then joined the group in search of Diantha's Gardevoir.

After a few minutes of running behind the balloon, the group finally loses sight of it and finally stops exhausted, Julian followed them till now wondering what will happen.

He asked as they couldn't find any trail left behind by Team Rocket.

She said and grabbed hold of her locket which held her Mega Stone in place.

Sycamore "Do you know where to find Gardevoir?"

Sycamore asked in surprise, he didn't know how Diantha will be able to find Gardevoir.

Diantha "Yes, this happened to me once before, during a shoot, I was separated from Gardevoir and my team but somehow I was able to connect with Gardevoir through this Mega Stone, I could feel Gardevoir calling to me, I followed Gardevoir's call and soon found my whole team"

Diantha explained.

Sycamore exclaimed as he listened to Diantha's explanation.

Even Julian was surprised by this, he didn't expect Mega Stones could do this as well, even Ash and his friends were surprised by this.

She then suddenly opened her eyes and looked in a certain direction.

She said and rushed towards the direction she was looking at, Sycamore, Ash and his friends followed right behind her and so did Julian.

After a few minutes of running, they finally arrived at their destination, Julian saw the massive Meowth hot air balloon, and right beside it was the trapped Gardevoir, the team rocket idiots were laughing as they celebrated their so-called perfect theft.

Their celebration was soon put to an end as they noticed Diantha, Ash and the group appear in front of them, they were shocked by how Ash and the group found them.

Jessie "How did they find us?"

She asked with a shocked face.

James "Well, it doesn't matter, let's get out of here"

Meowth "Ya, let's do that"

Ash "Not so fast, return Gardevoir right now"

Ash claimed.

Jessie "Not under my watch"

She said and sent out her pokemon to battle and so did James, Ash was about to step in and battle them but Diantha stopped him and walked forward.

Diantha "Let me deal with this"

She said and looked directly at Team Rocket.

Diantha "Let me show you what I and my Gardevoir can do, let me show you the power of a Champion"

She declared and looked at Gardevoir who is still trapped inside the energy cage, both Gardevoir and Diantha came to an understanding, Diantha suddenly used her Key-Stone which started to glow and the Mega Stone around Gardevoir's neck responded to it.

Suddenly the change started to take place and Gardevoir Mega Evolved, it then unleashed multiple shadow balls within a second and destroyed the energy cage surrounding it, it didn't even make an effort to do so.

Julian was once again impressed, this Mega Evolution was quite strong, he could see that Gardevoir's power rose extremely high.

Once it escaped out of the cage, it then used Moon Blast and sent Team Rocket flying through the air and disappeared from everyone's sight, it just ended as Julian expected, as always the trio failed.

Gengar who was hiding in Gardevoir's shadow went back into Julian's. Gardevoir hadn't noticed Gengar's presence before but as soon as Gengar entered Julian's, for a brief second it noticed Gengar and was in shock.

Mega Gardevoir looked at Julian's shadow with weary eyes, if it hadn't Mega Evolved, it would have never noticed Gengar at all, seeing Gardevoir's reaction Diantha also felt something.

It was as if they were really connected, she also looked at Julian's shadow and she could see two eyes staring back at them with a grin right below the eyes, both Gardevoir and Diantha shuddered as they felt those eyes on them.

Diantha 'Of course, he would be prepared for a situation like this, he took action before things even got worse'

Diantha knew it was Julian's Gengar, she realized that Julian had already sent his Gengar to follow the hot air balloon before they could even think of a way to track down team rocket.
