It is about creating the biggest explosions and by this Darmanitan causes even more damage to his opponents, that is why he is the most feared of all of Julian's Unova pokemon. ​​

Yesh "Swampert, use Earthquake"

Yesh started off big with a wide-area attack, Earthquake can be very effective against Darmanitan if he gets hit by it but Julian has many ways to dodge this Earthquake.

As Swampert slammed its massive arms into the ground and sent an energy pulse into the ground, the ground started to tremble and shake at a very rapid pace, earth energy pulsed out of the ground trying to destroy everything it touched.

Julian "Use Hammer Arm on the ground and launch yourself, then use Headbutt"

Darmanitan did as Julian said, he used Hammer Arm and slammed the ground with all his strength, the power behind his attack propelled him up in the air while leaving two massive craters on the ground, he then started to spin very fast, Darmanitan then used Headbutt and charged towards Swampert with full speed.

Darmanitan looked like a glowing spinning ball as the dome of his head shone brightly as his whole body spun, seeing the speed at Darmanitan is coming towards his Swampert, Yesh knew that he has to block this one and shouldn't try to dodge because an explosion will follow up next and it will cause a lot of damage even without contact.

Yesh "Use Protect"

Swampert quickly raised its arms and created a forcefield in front of it, as Darmanitan got closer and made contact with the forcefield, something crazy happened, while people expected the protect to just crack or shatter but what happened surprised everyone.

An explosion occurred and not just a small one but a massive one, the sound of this explosion was thunderous, the power of the explosion shattered the protect in an instant and the powerful shockwave hit Swampert like a train sending it rolling in the ground, Darmanitan was also sent flying backward but he curled up into a ball and just rolled away with no damage.

He got back to his feet and beat his chest while looking at the result of the explosion and was quite happy about it.

Yesh looked at his Swampert and was relieved, just like he expected, Julian's Darmanitan is too much.

While a normal type attack like Headbutt could deal a lot of damage, Darmanitan on the other hand doesn't use moves like they are supposed to be used.

He makes them combust at high speed with such intense heat that they create a massive explosion, the stronger the attack, the more power an explosion will have.

The only moves that don't explode like this are fire type moves, Darmanitan just use them like normal fire type moves but they are more destructive in nature because Darmanitan does the same to them as well, he channels a lot of heat behind all of his attack, and with fire mixing with fire creates even greater fire.

Julian "Brick Break"

Darmanitan charged at Swampert once again, his hands glowed yellow as he rushed towards Swampert, Yesh tried to figure out how to deal with this problem, making contact with Darmanitan is suicidal.

After figuring out a counter, Yesh made a call.

Yesh "Use Mud Bomb"

Swampert shot a massive glom of mud at Darmanitan's way.

Julian "Burn it"

Julian decided to intimidate Yesh and see how he will react after being pressured very hard.

Seeing the incoming attack, Darmanitan grinned and punched at the Mud Bomb, the yellow energy around his arm suddenly started to show changes. Darmanitan challenged all his heat into this attack and combust them.

Brick Break suddenly exploded in contact with the Mud Bomb, the explosion was massive and powerful causing the stadium's defense system to get activated, Swampert had to use Protect to protect itself from the explosion as well.

The crowd felt chills by sensing the power of this explosion, they could see nothing by a fiery blast and nothing else, as soon as the explosion disappeared, the only thing left was Darmanitan standing next to molten sand that was cooling down and turning into glass.

This explosion was so powerful and hot that it dried up the Mud Bomb in a second and then started to melt the dry stand and then turn it into a glass.

Within a few minutes, this molten sand will turn into trinitite (sands that turn into glass in explosion sites), everyone is shocked by seeing this, they have never seen something like this ever before.

Even Yesh who doesn't show much emotion felt a massive pressure trying to crush him, he looked at Julian and noticed his cold eyes, he realized that Julian is finally serious, unlike previous times this is not just training, this is a real battle and he needs to give it his all to stand a chance or he will be completely destroyed.
