Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 927

Julian is surprised by how strong Glen's Sirfetch'd really is, Glen could easily take on a champion and win against them if he really put his everything in it and be crowned a champion of the region but unlucky for him he decided to take on Julian in the Unova League.
The exchange of moves between Haxorus and Sirfetch'd continued for a while now, but both of them couldn't get an edge over the other.
Haxorus is having a very hard time piercing through the defense of this Sirfetch'd because its shield is as big as his body and the very little gap that can be found will get parried by Sirfetch'd's sword leek.
Sirfetch'd is also having a very hard time hitting Haxorus, as the battle continued Sirfetch'd realized that Haxorus has got the hang of his fighting style and is now predicting his movements before he can even use it, and when he tries to do something else, Haxorus is easily seeing through them because they are slow and unrefined movements.
Julian "Iron Tail"
This battle was long but it was also very exciting, people are on the edge of their seats because the exchanges are very cool visually, and the outcomes are always surprising to them.
This long battle is also beneficial to Julian because his pokemons have much better endurance and stamina than other pokemons, Haxorus in particular, he could easily outlive most of Julian's own pokemon on a battlefield if it gets dragged out till the end.
But Julian decided to end it, this battle has played long enough for him to come up with a strategy to take down Sirfetch'd
Haxorus planted his left leg into the ground hard creating a footprint with cracks on the ground and swung his whole body to deliver another powerful Iron Tail at Sirfetch'd.

Glen knew that he cannot keep blocking these powerful Iron Tails, it might now show on the battlefield but every time Sirfetch'd is blocking them, he is going through a lot of pain, it's just like when someone uses a metal rod and hits a hard rock, the person who swung the metal rod will feel a lot of pain.
It was not the exact thing but Sirfetch'd is going through it over and over again in this battle and if this continues his hands will give out and he might not be able to wield his shield and it will put an end to this battle.
Right now Haxorus is looking to land that finishing move, he has already dealt damage to Sirfetch'd, not directly but he knows that every time Sirfetch'd blocked his Iron Tail, he caused damage and Sirfetch'd is also getting exhausted.
Glen "Counterattack with Leaf Blade"
As Haxorus's tail was about to touch Sirfetch'd, he used his sword and parried the tail and then used its momentum to spin in the opposite direction using Leaf Blade and landed a very powerful strike on Haxorus's stomach.
Haxorus was sent sliding backward on his feet as he held on to his stomach tightly, this one hurt a lot, Julian was surprised as well, he didn't expect a counterattack from Sirfetch'd but this made it more interesting.
Julian "Dragon Claw"
Haxorus ignored the pain in his stomach and charged at Sirfetch'd again while using both his hands, this time he put all his power behind it causing the claws to be bigger than before.
Haxorus swung his Dragon Claw at Sirfetch'd and he blocked it with his shield again but Haxorus suddenly swung his tail and used Iron Tail very fast.
Seeing this Glen decided to try another counterattack.

Glen "Quick, counterattack with Night Slash"
Since Leaf Blade doesn't seem to be doing much damage as Haxorus is resistant to grass type attacks, as Haxorus spun and landed the Iron Tail on Sirfetch'd, Sirfetch'd used the momentum of the attack and once again turned around as his leek sword started to glow dark in color and tried to slam it into Haxorus's stomach again but this time Julian and Haxorus are both ready.
Julian "Grab it using Dragon Claw"
Haxorus suddenly lifted his right hand up in the air and formed a Dragon Claw, a massive blue claw formed around Haxorus's hand, as he saw the sword coming towards him, he brought his Dragon Claw slashing down towards the sword and suddenly grabbed it causing a powerful burst of energy, which soon followed by a very destructive shockwave.
The power generated from these two moves colliding made the ground underneath them shatter, everyone could see the big blue Dragon Claw grabbing onto the dark glowing leek-sword as they radiated massive energy from them.
The air around the contact point is vibrating so rapidly that it's creating a humming sound, Sirfetch'd is trying to overpower and land the Night Slash and Haxorus is stopping him with the Dragon Claw.
Julian "Let's end this, slam him"
Haxorus listened to Julian and suddenly started to lift Sirfetch'd's sword along with Sirfetch'd himself, Sirfetch'd was taken by surprise as his legs stopped touching the ground, he panicked and looked at Haxorus who lifted him high up in the sky, well Haxorus lifted the sword which Sirfetch'd was holding.
Glen "Sirfetch'd let go of your sword"
He yelled as he realized that Haxorus was about to do but Sirfetch'd didn't listen, he had never let go of this sword no matter what happened so he couldn't see himself letting go of the sword, he panicked and tried to move around to make it hard for Haxorus but he was not bothered by it at all.
Haxorus is too powerful to get bothered by a lightweight as Sirfetch'd, he still has his Dragon Claw activated while the dark energy inside the leek started to fade away.
Haxorus didn't wait for any second and put all the tension in his arm and slammed Sirfetch'd to the ground through his own sword.
The Dragon Claw also exploded dishing more damage to Sirfetch'd but Sirfetch'd didn't let go of the sword, he held on to it even though he is out of energy.
Glen "SIRFETCH'D LET GO OF IT"
Glen shouted but Sirfetch'd didn't let go.
Julian "End it, Iron Tail"
Haxorus didn't let go of the sword and stared at Sirfetch'd who is hanging onto the sword with little energy, Haxorus growled low while showing his fangs and swung his tail using Iron Tail, Sirfetch'd lifted his shield and tried to block it and he did but there was no resistance.
Haxorus's tail smashed into the shield and then hit Sirfetch'd and sent him flying through the air as his grip on his sword was finally lost, Sirfetch'd crashed into the ground and got knocked out ending the battle.
Referee "Sirfetch'd is unable to battle, Haxorus wins, hence the winner of this quarterfinal match is trainer Julian".

The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.

Fall of Jupiter
What happens when the most powerful man in the world loses his soulmate to a heart attack? What happens when an innocent woman is dragged into a world of magic, and superheroes? Who is the true hero of the story? Note: This is the first book I ever wrote seriously. (I even had a cover made before I decided against publishing it) I'd like to think my writing style has improved with practice, and the multiple other books I've worked on. It felt wrong to leave a nearly completed book gathering dust in my google docs, but I don't think it's good enough to be officially published. As a result, I'm putting it here instead where it at least won't be totally wasted. Eventually, I'll put in the last 10 hours or so to finish it for you guys. Hope you like it :)

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
