During the two days' rest that the trainers got to get ready for their big battle, Julian spent most of his time lazing around, the only thing he did close to training his pokemons is making them exercise to warm up their muscles and nothing else.

The two days of waiting were just gone like that and the final rounds started, the first battle of the quarterfinals is between Ash and Virgil. ​​

The quarterfinals started with a big firework display, the burning Moltres flame on top of the ground stadium looked magnificent, the crowd was big, every seat in the grand stadium is occupied by people and there are still more who are standing on their feet to watch the battle.

The announcer along with many special guests was introduced before the first battle finally began.

The announcer hyped up the crowd and then introduced the first trainer, Virgil, throughout this league, Virgil has proven himself to be a really good trainer, and his team fully made of eeveelutions made him a unique trainer.

Virgil entered the battlefield and waved at the crowd cheering for him, he was overwhelmed by the number of people present here in the grand stadium, he knew it was big but he didn't know it was this big.

He took his position on the battlefield and took a deep breath waiting for his opponent to arrive, he has studied Ash for a while now and he knows how hard of a battle this is really gonna be for him, he knows that Ash is one of the most experienced trainers to ever step foot in the Unova League, Ash has been part of four leagues and he has been part of the final rounds three times and two of them were against Julian in the finals where he lost both the time.

The announcer then moved on and introduced Ash as the next trainer, the crowd were excited to see him as well, they know he is one of the strongest trainers but they didn't have confidence in him winning this league because he has already lost twice to Julian and the audience doesn't think he will do any better the third time.

But they still liked to see him battle because some of the biggest battles in the league had Ash as its participant.

Ash soon made his way into the battlefield with his Pikachu on his shoulder waving at the crowd, Ash excitedly took his position on the battlefield and looked at Virgil with a serious expression on his face.

He believed that Virgil is a tough opponent and he needs to give it his all to advance forward.

The referee started the battle after explaining the rules of the battle asking both trainers to choose their pokemon.

This being a full-on six-on-six pokemon battle had the crowd pretty excited.

The referee soon started the battle with Ash staring with his Pikachu and Virgil starting with Leafeon, Leafeon being a grass type is resistant to electric type attacks so he has an early advantage against Ash.

The battle started but soon things started to go bad for Virgil as he realized that this Pikachu was very strong, even its electric type attacks caused more damage than normal, his Leafeon is slower, weaker, and not so agile compared to the electric mouse.

Soon things came to an end as Pikachu landed a powerful Iron Tail and ended it all, Virgil's first pokemon is down.

The battle continued for a little longer and Ash's Pikachu was able to take out one more of Virgil's pokemon before he was called back, the battle continued forward.

Ash didn't lose any pokemon in the process but he used four pokemons on the battlefield, he even brought back his Charizard which helped him finish Virgil's last pokemon.

Ash moved on to the semifinals once again, people cheered for his victory and wondered if this might be the one for Ash, where he finally wins the league.

After an hour break, the second battle started and it was between Karl and Yesh.

This was a very good battle as well, Karl did his best to keep up but Yesh always seems to be ahead of him all the time, Karl even got close to knocking out one of Yesh's pokemon, but Yesh made sure that won't happen and switched his pokemon and sent in a new one.

After a thrilling battle, Yesh advanced to the semifinals along with Ash

Another break and the third battle of the day started and it was between Dhrago and Dino.

Just like every battle Dhrago has been a part of, this one was destructive as well, his opponent Dino was no easy opponent, even his battle style seemed bold and aggressive, Dhrago and Dino exchanged a lot of moves but Dhrago always came out on top.

He was even able to deal near-lethal blows to Dino's pokemon and injuring them very badly, after seeing three of his pokemons hurt so badly, Dino had no choice but to forfeit the battle, he couldn't see another one of his pokemon getting hurt.

Dhrago just laughed watching this and he advanced to the semifinals along with Ash and Yesh.

Another hour passed and it was finally the time everyone was waiting for, it was time for Julian to battle against Glen and people are excited to see it.
