Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 913

The second day of the preliminaries began and this was also as big as the first one because many big names in the league are battling today, them being Dhrago, Yesh, Glen, Virgil, Dino, and Cameron.
Julian also wanted to see these battles, he was really interested in watching Dhrago battle, he wanted to see more about this trainer, he has seen his actions but never seen him in person and how he battles.
The only battle that he has seen Dhrago being in was a single hit KO, he also wanted to see if Yesh will do anything special in his battle and how much he has improved, till now none of the big players have shown what they are truly capable of.
Julian headed towards the west stadium where Dhrago will be battling and his match seems to be one of the early ones as well, he got himself a room and waited for his battle.
The first battle was not something Julian was interested in, it was just two normal trainers dragging the battle till one of the pokemon fell, luckily for Julian he didn't have to wait any longer because the next battle was Dhrago against another random trainer who Julian didn't know.
But as he looked at this trainer's record, he was impressed, her battle record was very impressive, none of her opponents were able to last for more than three minutes against her and her pokemons were clearly much superior in battles compared to their opponents.
He wondered if she will be able to give a challenge to Dhrago so that Julian could see him in actions and his methods.
The announcer started to hype the crowd and make sure that they are ready to witness another great battle, Dhrago's fame has been rising among hardcore pokemon battle fans, when they watch how destructive his methods are, they felt thrilled.

Many hated him as well, they said that he was too cruel, they said that he could hold back against his opponents but he didn't, but many people defended him as well saying that this is a pokemon battle and pokemons sometimes get hurt and that they cannot blame Dhrago for being a pokemon trainer.
Julian also had the same thoughts, this is a pokemon battle and pokemon gets hurt but he also knows that people have not seen the full extent of Dhrago's brutality, he has not seen Dhrago is action as well but he has seen the results.

The announcer didn't make the audience wait for much longer and finally introduced the first participant, he called out the girl who will be facing Dhrago first.
Soon a girl walked in with long purple hair who seems to be around 16 years old, her name Tanisha, the crowd cheered for her and she got a lot of fans during this league as she was exposed to the public, she came from another region to test herself against the top elites of the pokemon world and till now she felt that she was doing great.
She liked the attention she was getting and was ready for this battle, she is also a little nervous because she has seen her opponent in action and he looked fierce with his methods.
She was confident but this battle didn't feel right to her, she took her position on the battlefield and waited for her opponent to arrive.
The announcer then introduced Dhrago and as soon as his name was called, the crowd started to get loud, then a person finally walked in.
This man looks big, he is tall has wide shoulders, rough hair, and an eyepatch over one of his eyes, this guy looked very menacing to everyone but people still cheered for him because he is strong.

Julian watched with focus as he didn't want to miss it.
Dhrago grinned as he looked at his opponent and took his position on the battlefield, his opponent suddenly felt a chill down her spine as she saw Dhrago staring at her with his grin.
She felt uncomfortable but stood her ground, she believed in herself.
The referee then started to explain the rules of the battle just like every other pokemon battle, he then asked both of them to choose their pokemon.
Tanisha went first and sent out a Typhlosion, her Typhlosion came out and roared as the flames on its back flared up causing the air around it to get distorted.
Dhrago just laughed and sent out a Hitmonlee, the Hitmonlee came into the battlefield and stood its ground and looked at its opponent, it stared at its opponent with its cold eyes and kicked the air in front of it.
It's kicks generated shockwaves indicating how powerful those kicks could really be, Julian saw this and was impressed, he realized that Dhrago might really be the one who might battle him and give him a good battle.
Now that both trainers have chosen their pokemon, the referee started the battle with the wave of his flags.
As soon as the battle started, Tanisha went for the attack using a Flamethrower but Dhrago didn't seem concerned,
Dhrago "Brick Break"
Dhrago called out a move and his Hitmonlee moved, it moved so fast that it left afterimages behind followed by a shockwave, it then tore right through the Flamethrower as if it was nothing, and then landed a powerful kick using Brick Break right on Typhlosion's stomach.
Typhlosion got folded as its legs got lifted off the ground and its upper body bent down while its head almost touched its feet, before the Typhlosion even flew away it got knocked out cold as its eyes went flat.
Then its whole body flew back like a rag doll and crashed into the wall creating an indent, people were shocked by seeing this feat of strength.
Tanisha was shocked as well, she ran to her Typhlosion to check on it and started to get worried because she saw a very big bruise on its stomach, it was very clear that the Brick Break caused some internal damage to Typhlosion.
Julian frowned seeing this, he didn't like how Dhrago handled this, it was clear as a day that the Hitmonlee was clearly way more powerful than the Typhlosion and he could have held back and it would still have ended in one hit but Dhrago's Hitmonlee didn't hold back even one bit.
Julian 'No wonder, the gym leader's pokemon were hospitalized, this guy likes to boss around'
He thought and smirked.

P.A.R.A.D.O.X. PROJECT: Aeon Genesis
The first project focusing on four protagonists within the same world set around fictional 14th-century Europe. This is the first P.A.R.A.D.O.X. PROJECT focusing on 3 (+1) protagonists within the same world set around fictional 14th-century-esque Europe. Each story has its own protagonists (Male or Female Lead), genres (mainly Western Fantasy), and can be read as a standalone. Status: OngoingUpdate(s) per week: 1Words per chapter: 3000 - 6000 *** ‘A human or not; a king or a servant; hope or despair; a hero or a villain.’ Depending on one's perspective and how each story portrays, one will view an individual or a group as evil or virtuous. Because of that, it depends on the reader and listener to believe which one is the truth. More people read and trust multiple (trusted?) sources that either complement or contradict one another. The contradiction becomes the source of debates between those who believe and those who don’t. From that difference in belief, two groups appear: The Majority and The Minority. The majority, having more people, suppress the minorities’ beliefs, claiming theirs, the majorities’, to be the truth. However, the majority are not only composed solely of those who share the same belief but also those who know the truth but afraid to admit it. They have to keep quiet and turn a blind eye for their safety. The majority had to submit to those with power and authority. With the majority under control, those with power and authority can create, manipulate, and/or fabricate truth and lies by force. The reason was for one’s or group’s personal benefits. In the end, there is no such thing as ‘absolute truth’; only sugar-coated lies created by the top. Don’t believe me? It is up to you to decide. Go and read it yourself.
