Julian was surprised by the outcome of that exchange, even though the hit that Escavalier received was not too big it was still a good hit, Julian didn't think he would get hit so early in the battle.

Lucky for Julian, his Escavalier's defense and special defense has gone way up, with all that training Julian put him through, there was no way Escavalier wouldn't improve. ​​

Julian "Use Night Slash, right now"

Since Escavalier is not far away from Druddigon, Julian called for a Night Slash, Druddigon is still trying to regain its balance from that last attack and it was suddenly greeted by a powerful Night Slash that hit it right on the side and sent it rolling on the ground.

But Druddigon seems to be a very tough pokemon, it just shook off the hit and got on its feet and released a powerful battle roar, and charged at Escavalier with full speed.

Drayden "Use Fire Fang"

Drayden noticed something, even though Escavalier's movements are fast, it is still limited by its speed to move around and he suddenly thought of something.

Druddigon opened its jaw wide open and a massive amount of flames burst out of its mouth and engulfed its jaws making them incredibly hot.

As Druddigon got closer to biting down on Escavalier, Julian made his move as well.

Julian "Counter then use Poison Jab"

Since Drayden wants to get close, Julian decided to give him a gift.

As Druddigon got closer and chomp down his Fire Fang, Escavalier used one of his arms and swiped it straight on its jaw with all his power behind it to stop the Fire Fang's advance and he was successful, as Druddigon got bitch slapped by Escavalier, its flames spewed everywhere and disappeared.

Escavalier then used his other hand and jabbed right at Druddigon's stomach and sent it rolling on the ground.

Drayden "Druddigon get up and continue with your attacks"

Drayden didn't want to slow down, the best way to pressure a slow opponent is with a constant barrage of attacks and force them into a corner and then deal a finishing blow.

His Druddigon got back to its feet and charged at Julian's Escavalier with another Fire Fang.

Julian "Counter with another Poison Jab"

Escavalier did the same and countered just like before landing another Poison Jab but this time Druddigon took it a lot better and charged at Escavalier even faster than before using Fire Fang and Escavalier tried to counter again with his left arm but Druddigon moved its head down and dodged it.

But Escavalier's hands were much faster, he aimed down on Druddigon's temple and went for the Poison Jab, Druddigon saw it coming and chomped down on the arm causing a massive explosion.

The explosion caused a massive backlash and both pokemon were sent flying across the battlefield, Julian is really impressed by Druddigon's performance right now but it was time for this first round to end and it looks like his plan worked.

Even though Drayden was successful in cornering Escavalier into a corner for a second, he completely ignored Escavalier's power, it is indeed a very good idea to corner an opponent who is slow but it is a very risky move when cornering a pokemon that is physically stronger than the user and Drayden did exactly the same.

As the smoke cleared up it was clear to everyone that Escavalier won that exchange because Druddigon is on the ground on its knees but there is something else going on with it as well, it has been poisoned as well.

Druddigon tried to get back to its feet but the poison kicked it and brought it completely to the ground as its energy slowly depleted from its body due to the poison.

Drayden didn't expect this to happen, he underestimated the power behind those Jabs and it looks like one of them was able to poison his Druddigon.

Drayden "Use Dragon Tail"

Drayden is not going back off now, that blast may have dealt a lot of damage to his Druddigon but so did Escavalier as well, he decided to put Escavalier to its limit before his Druddigon goes down.

As his Druddigon charged to deliver the final attack Julian decided to end this battle as well and benefit from it on top.

Julian "Use Fell Stinger"

As Druddigon got closer and swung its tail at Escavalier, Escavalier saw the opening and jabbed its two hands and hit Druddigon which was the final nail in the coffin.

Druddigon went right down the second the move made contact and on top of that Julian got the boost he wanted.

Fell Stinger is a type of move that powers up the user's attack power by three times when the opponents go down after getting hit by it.

Drayden didn't think much of it, he knew the power gap between his Druddigon and Julian Escavalier was too much, at the end that last-ditch of effort was not enough to make a difference.
