Once Julian figured out Drayden's danger, he left his hotel room and went to the nearest forest entrance to train his pokemon, he doesn't like training inside the city because that can attract too much attention.

Once he reached the forest he looked at his options, since Drayden is a dragon type user his pokemons will be resistant to elemental types like Fire, Water, Grass, and Electricity, the best option is to go with Ice, Dragon, or Fairy as they deal a lot of damage to Dragon types. ​​

But Julian only has Dragons in his team, he doesn't have an ice type or fairy type pokemon in his team and he doesn't want to use dragons again in this battle.

Julian "Looks like I have to choose randomly"

He said and looked at his pokemons, Larvesta is very close to evolving but Julian doesn't want to use him for this battle as it would be a very bad matchup, his strength is not up to par with the dragons that Drayden has nor is his defense any good at this level.

Julian's only hope is for Larvesta to evolve quickly which is very close to happening, he looked through all his pokemon and chose two of them, Escavalier and Darmanitan.

The first two pokemons he started with, he decided to end it with them as well.

He then put all his focus on them and trained them for their upcoming battle, Darmanitan will have to work a little harder as he will have a disadvantage against Drayden's dragon type pokemons.

While Escavalier will have the advantage in this battle, he will have resistance to most of Drayden's dragon-type moves, while other types of moves might hurt Escavalier it will severely limit Drayden's pokemons' moveset.

Julian focused on Darmanitan's movement and power while Escavalier was put under a lot of defensives training, even though he might be resistant to dragon-type attacks, he is not resistant to other types of moves.

He is also very slow and with his speed, it is not enough for him to dodge attacks from Drayden's pokemons, he was faster when he was a Karrablast, so to perform better in the battle Escavalier's defense and special defense has to be very strong.

The training was hard, no matter how many times they have trained under Julian, every time the training becomes harder than last time as Julian puts them under a lot of pressure.

The other pokemons were also put under intense training as once the eighth badge has been earned, it will be time for the league, and the trainers there will be strong, because of the little challenge he gave out to the world.

Once training was done he returned to his hotel as the day ended, he continued this routine of training and going back to the hotel to rest for a few days, he did this till he was satisfied with his pokemons' development.

The day is here when he will challenge the gym for the final badge, during his stay here he saw nothing that was out of expectation, everything seemed normal and people were living their lives normally.

He woke up early in the morning and got ready for his gym battle, he walked out of his hotel at 10 am and soon arrived in front of Opelucid gym, right outside the gym's gate, he saw the statue of two dragon pokemons, they were or Zekrom and Reshiram, Julian was impressed by how detailed these statues were.

He walked past the gate and entered the premises of the gym and he saw a massive structure right in front of him, it is the Opelucid gym, it looks like the whole structure is made from a single massive rock.

He noticed two massive dragon heads on either side of the gym and right in the middle is a giant door welcoming the trainers, Julian got excited and entered the gym.

Just like every gym, he was greeted by a gym keeper who guided him towards the battlefield where the gym leader is waiting for his challenger.

Julian walked down the stairs and into the battlefield, he saw a talk muscular old man on the other side of the battlefield with his arms folded waiting for his next opponent, the old man was quite intimidating but Julian just smiled as he saw him.

This man is clearly old but he still holds such a strong presence around him, he also looks after his body even at this age, his shoulders are wide, his arms are big and his legs seem strong as well.

The only thing Julian found weird about this man is his beard as it's shaped quite weird, while others have a beard that goes down their chin, he has it going up covering his mouth, Julian didn't understand this style at all but he was no one to judge on someone's style as he spends most of his day hiding behind a mask.

It might seem fine to him but to others, he just looks suspicious.

Drayden looked at his next challenger and just by the way his challenger walked, he could tell that this battle will be a tough one, he has lived for very long and he can easily judge a person just by their physical behavior and he sees the way his new challenger carries himself.

The confidence he is emitting is very clear to Drayden and he knows that his challenger is expecting to win this battle, this also made Drayden quite excited for this battle as he also is looking forward to battle a tough opponent.
