Julian's Garchomp looked at the pokemon in front of him and realized that the opponent is strong, not as strong as his seniors but he knows it will definitely be a hard battle to be fought.

The aura around Cobalion is very powerful and intimidating, this aura could only be possessed by the most powerful of pokemons. ​​

Now both of them just waited for the other to attack.

Julian saw that Cobalion is not going to make the first move so he decided to attack.

Julian "Garchomp, use Dragon Rush"

Garchomp roared and charged at Cobalion using Dragon Rush, a massive dragon made of dragon energy formed around Garchomp and he charged through the air.

Seeing the incoming attack Cobalion stood its ground and then used Iron Defense to increase its already incredible defense.

As Garchomp crashed into Cobalion, Cobalion used its powerful horns to intercept Garchomp, as the Dragon Rush made contact, Cobalion tried to push Garchomp back but Garchomp was too powerful.

Cobalion's feet started to drag through the ground as dirt and grass got dug up, the Dragon Rush finally came to an end and it seems like Cobalion has successfully defended against Garchomp's Dragon Rush.

Since it is a Steel-type pokemon it resisted the Dragon Rush and with the help of Iron Defense, its defense was way higher as well.

Julian was surprised by seeing this.

Julian 'This Cobalion is stronger than I thought'

He thought as he watched both Cobalion and Garchomp trying to up each other with pure strength and it looks like Garchomp is still the more powerful one while Cobalion's defense is outstanding and is able to take direct hits from Julian's Garchomp.

Since it started to get pushed back by Garchomp it suddenly decided to attack and this time with a Special Attack, it suddenly started to collect a lot of energy in its mouth, Julian realized that Cobalion is going for a Hyper Beam.

Julian "Garchomp, use Giga Impact"

As Garchomp was still locked on, powerful energy started to surge through his body which then covered him whole, Cobalion also finished charging up and blasted its Hyper Beam at point-blank range.

Garchomp also roared and put all his power behind his legs to burst forward with Giga Impact, since both of them attacked each other at point-blank with full power, the core of the explosion was also them, the explosion was massive, this power is from the collision of attacks from pokemons that are on the legendary level.

The mushroom cloud rose so high that people from both Icirrus city and Opelucid city could see it, the shockwave was so powerful that it ripped the trees that were nearby into two, some pokemons that were close by got knocked out by the impact as well, the ground was burned and Julian had to put up a barrier in front of him.

The ground shook causing an earthquake as well, people from both cities wondered what is going on, weird things are happening all around Unova and people are a little worried.

Julian looks at the destruction his Garchomp and Cobalion caused and didn't know what to say, he expected this but the outcome was still over his expectations.

As the smoke cleared up both pokemon are still standing with a few little scratches on Cobalion, Garchomp seems to have won that exchange.

Knowing the Dragon-type and Normal-type moves won't cause too much damage to Cobalion, Julian knew he had to deal with some super-effective hits on it.

Lucky for Julian, Garchomp is not that bad at Special Attacks, he is actually very decent and Cobalion is also not that great when it comes to Special Defense as well, on top of that Garchomp knows a bunch of Fire-type moves as well.

Julian "Use Fire Fang"

Julian started to off with a Fire Fang to see if Cobalion still has any fight left in it, that last exchange was massive and it could have put down even a champion level pokemon so it might have dealt some damage.

Garchomp charged at Cobalion again and this time his fangs were spewing flames, Cobalion sensed the danger and tried to dodge and successfully dodged the first one but Garchomp continued using Fire Fang, he soon cornered Cobalion and went for the finish.

Garchomp chomped down with his flaming fangs, having nowhere else to run Cobalion tried to counter with Double Kick.

It raised both its legs and tried to kick Garchomp but he suddenly used his arms and grabbed those legs and tossed them up making Cobalion lose balance, Cobalion crashed on the ground and Garchomp delivered the Fire Fang right on its stomach.

It created a mini-explosion as Cobalion was sent rolling on the ground, it soon got back to its feet and growled at Garchomp, it realized that it is being overpowered by this young pokemon in front of it and it hurt its pride.

Julian "Use Flamethrower"

As Cobalion made some distance from Garchomp, he blasted a powerful Flamethrower at Cobalion, it couldn't dodge it because the size of the attack was too big, no matter which direction it tries to jump it will get hit.

As it was cornered, it pulled a flying-type attack out of nowhere, it powered its leg with wind and jumped really high as it used Bounce dodging the Flamethrower and aimed towards Garchomp with its horns which are surrounded by fast spinning wind energy as it came down at high speed.

Julian smiled as Cobalion made a huge mistake, by being in the air, it has nowhere to dodge this next attack.

Julian "Let's end this, Fire Blast"

Garchomp charged up a very powerful Fire Blast and shot it at the incoming Cobalion, Cobalion is shocked by this but since it couldn't do anything, it just closed its eyes and dove down.

The Fire Blast made contact with Cobalion which created another massive explosion, not as big as the one that shook everything but this one is still very big.

Cobalion got sent flying backward and crashed into the ground, that one dealt a lot of damage, one more strike and it will go down.

Garchomp started to charge up for another Fire Blast, if Cobalion tries to get up he will blast it away, Cobalion struggled as it tried to get up but it couldn't that Fire Blast was too much, as Julian was thinking of ending the battle, he was given a massive surprise.
