Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 804

Gengar and Marshadow continued down the street of this ancient-looking city before they finally found themselves in front of a massive crystal that is in the middle of the street.
This crystal is very massive, reaching about 17 meters in height and 12 meters in width, the crystal is black in color but it has a purple hue that moves around it making it look very beautiful.
Gengar [Such a powerful aura]
Gengar said as he looked at the Crystal, this was indeed a surprise to him, this crystal has a lot of power inside it and it looks like a lot of ghost pokemons are here to absorb this aura to become stronger.
But for Gengar it is useless, this energy is nothing compared to the one Julian has around him and this energy is slightly weaker than his own.
If he had not broke through level 100 he would have been tempted to absorb it and try to breakthrough.
Marshadow [Were you looking for this as well?]
Marshadow asked curiously, he is here to absorb the energy from this crystal to improve his source energy even more and wondered if Gengar is here to do the same, it is still not at a level to tell that Gengar doesn't need the energy from this massive crystal as Gengar's source is even purer.
Gengar [Gege, no, but I found it]
He said and suddenly dove into the shadow, Marshadow got startled but soon followed into the shadow as well, shadow being its origin it could easily enter them, unlike some other ghost-type pokemons.
Gengar and Marshadow passed through the shadow and went deep into the ground and once they reached a certain level, they both were suddenly stopped by a forcefield, even Gengar was stopped, well he was just moving forward so he didn't have much power behind him.

Marshadow also stopped as it bumped into this invisible force and hit its head.
Gengar giggled as he saw this and looked at the invisible wall that is in the ground blocking anyone from entering, it is even suppressing the energy that is coming from inside, others might not notice it but Gengar who has been dabbling into dimension can clearly sense it.
He grinned widely and placed his hand on the invisible barrier and pressed it hard, the power that Gengar released suffocated Marshadow and it backed of a little, then Marshadow suddenly notice cracks suddenly appearing in thin air.
Gengar was breaking the invisible barrier with brute force, soon his aura escaped the underground, and even the ghost type pokemons who were absorbing the energy around the massive crystal suddenly felt massive pressure and all of them backed off in fear.
Back to Gengar, the cracks were growing much wider and spreading faster, then it shattered as Gengar's arm went right through creating a hole in the middle, he then quickly entered the hole and Marshadow followed behind.
As soon as Marshadow entered the hole, the cracks suddenly repaired itself and the barrier became invisible again as if it never existed before.
As Marshadow entered the other side of the barrier, it found itself in an empty void with nothing else but a small glowing ball in the middle and Gengar is floating next to it and checking it out.
Marshadow got curious and headed towards the glowing ball, as it got closer, it felt like the glowing ball will suck it in if he gets any closer.
Gengar [Don't get any closer, you will be pulled and thrown into a different dimension with no way to come back]
Gengar warned Marshadow and continued to study the ball.
Marshadow [Is this the thing you were looking for?]

It asked.
Gengar [Yes]
Marshadow [What is it?]
Gengar [A dimension core, the thing responsible for keeping this dimension stable and stopping it from collapsing into nothing, gegegege]
Gengar said and laughed.
Marshadow [Ohhhhhhhhh]
Marshadow exclaimed as it has no idea what Gengar is talking about.
Gengar [Gegege, should I take this away with me?]
Gengar said and looked at Marshadow with a big grin on his face, Marshadow froze for a second as he realized what Gengar just asked it, if it had said yes, this whole dimension would disappear along with every pokemon that is here.
Marshadow then shook its head very fast telling Gengar not to do it.
Gengar [Gegege, I am just joking]
Gengar laughed and continued to study the energy source of this dimension, this energy source looked very small but the energy that is contained is tremendous, if Gengar takes this energy source away, he can use it for his own dimension and make it a lot better.
But Gengar doesn't want to do so, he knows what is wrong and right, even though his master might not be the most righteous person, he knew what is good and what is bad and innocents should never get involved and Gengar has inherited this ideology as well.
Gengar [You should use this energy to refine your source, it can be very helpful]
Gengar told Marshadow to what to do so it can benefit a little before they leave this void, Marshadow nodded and started to absorb the radiating energy from the dimension source, as Marshadow got busy Gengar continued to study the source.
The more he looked at it, the more he realized that there is a lot for him to learn and even after spending some time with this source, Gengar realized that even this dimension is not perfect.
It has several flaws but Gengar did learn a lot.
