Julian "These Elite-Four from Unova are something else, they are clearly way stronger than the ones I have battled before"

He put the thought behind and continued to watch the battle, Shauntal started her attack again but this time she started off with a Hyper Beam, this attack is very powerful and Caitlin cannot pull off the same move again.

Her Reuniclus's Psychic cannot compare to a full power Hyper Beam, seeing the attack coming Caitlin quickly went into defense and called out Protect.

Her Reuniclus quickly created a massive shield protecting itself from the Hyper Beam, the Hyper Beam crashed into the Protect and tried to break it but it was not successful, as the Hyper Beam ended the Protect also shattered into fragments but this worked in Caitlin's favor.

Since Chandelure used Hyper Beam, it cannot move right now, giving Reuniclus the perfect chance to attack.

Caitlin "Now, Psychic"

With Caitlin's call, her Reuniclus charged up its power and started to put all its energy into a single spot right in front of Chandelure's face, Chandelure could sense the thick concentrated psychic energy right in front of its face but it couldn't do anything.

After a second Chandelure could feel its body and tried to get away from the energy spot but it couldn't get too much distance as soon as it moved half a meter away, the energy spot exploded and sent Chandelure flying across the battlefield and it then crashed on the ground hard.

The damage was huge but Shauntal didn't seem o be too worried about it, she was watching this whole process and realized that the energy spot took a second to completely form and explode, for a trainer at her level, 1 second is too much time and they can come up with many different counters.

Now she knows how much time the energy spot needs to form, she is ready for her counter, even though sacrificing her Chandelure to the attack was risky, she knew that her Chandelure can take it.

Her Chandelure got back in the air, its body is filled with scratches from that last attack.

Shauntal "Now, let's get started, Chandelure, use Astonish"

With her call her Chandelure charged towards Reuniclus with full speed, Caitlin was surprised by this as she didn't expect Shauntal to attack physically, she knew that Shauntal is planning something but she doesn't know what it is.

Caitlin "Use Protect"

Reuniclus used Protect again and protected itself from the Astonish, after the Protect was used it shattered int fragments and disappeared but Shauntal was not done, she called out her next move.

Shauntal "Use Mystical Fire"

Mystical Fire is a fire type move that deals heavy damage and on top of that, it also lowers its target's Special Attack.

Caitlin was ready for this and countered.

Caitlin "Use Energy Ball"

As both pokemons were very close to each other when they released their attack, the clash between them caused both pokemon to suffer from the backlash and were sent flying backward, as the smoke cleared up, both pokemons could still be seen floating in the air.

The one who still looked better is, of course, Reuniclus as it has more endurance and health compared to Chandelure, Caitlin is expecting hard attacks from Shauntal's side and she hopes to absorb all of them with the help of her pokemon's better endurance and health.

Caitlin "I think, its time to end this"

She said and got ready to counter but she suddenly noticed something was off.

Caitlin "Finish it with Psychic"

As soon as she gave the order, her Reuniclus charged up its psychic powers and suddenly multiple energy spots appeared out of nowhere around Chandelure.

Shauntal is surprised but this, this should not be possible as she has seen how much time it took for an energy spot to form, this was too fast and too many at the same time.

Caitlin "Now, explode"

Chandelure tried to escape but it was useless, it was surrounded by these energy spots and they all started to explode, one exploded and sent Chandelure to one direction, it came in contact with another energy spot and was sent flying to another direction once again, this continued seven to eight times before Chandelure finally crashed on the ground fainted from that ridiculous assault.

Shauntal was shocked by the result as this didn't make any sense to her, the battle was going pretty well and no one had the upper hand and now this sudden shift was shocking.

Shauntal "How did you pull that off?"

She asked.

Caitlin "Well, my Reuniclus has been using Clam Mind from the beginning of this battle, we knew that you will try to figure out my new attack and you did and I baited you into thinking the limit of this attack, once my Reuniclus reached its peak power after multiple Calm Mind, it was time to display the real power behind my new move"

She said explaining how she pulled of her win.

Referee "The winner of this battle is Elite-Four member Caitlin"

As he announced the result, the massive screen on the top of the stadium showed the scorecards and put another win next to Caitlin's name while putting another loss next to Shauntal, it then showed the match card between Shauntal and Caitlin and changed the number from 4-3 to 4-4, putting them back to square one.

With the end of this battle, Caitlin is still on the top of the list ranking right behind Alder.
