Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 728

The little Axew just stood there looking at Garchomp, Julian's plan was successful, he used Garchomp to get Axew's attention.
Not that all the pokemons are gone Julian carefully looked at the shiny Axew, he could tell this one would be a big addition to his team, Haxorus, its final stage is known for their ridiculous attack stat, the power behind their attack is even stronger than a Garchomp on the same level, but they are still not pseudo legendary because they lack behind in other fields.
Their physical defense is good, their special defense is average, their special attack is below average, speed is decent and their durability/health is also average.
The only thing they had over Garchomp or any other pseudo legendary pokemons in their attack stat, the rest of its stats are like any other pokemon, but Julian didn't mind it, with its decent speed and good defense Julian should be able to dominate the battlefield with one of them in his team.
Julian walked towards Axew and squatted to Axew's level so he can talk with it, he also noticed that this one is a male as well.
Julian "Do you want to be as strong as Garchomp?"
He asked Axew. Axew looked at Julian and back at Garchomp, just like Garchomp wanted to become strong like Gengar when he was just a Gible, Axew wanted to become like Garchomp and nodded his head at Julian.
Julian "Good, then come with me, you will meet new friends and make a new family and you will become strong like them"
Julian said and took out a Pokeball and touched its tip on Axew's head, the Pokeball opened and engulfed Axew with a red light, Axew got sent inside the Pokeball and it started to beep, after three continuous beeps, the Pokeball stopped shaking indicating that Axew has been successfully captured.

Julian smiled and got back to his feet and looked at Garchomp.
Julian "He will be your responsibility in the future, you will guide him just like Tyranitar and others helped you become who you are today"
Garchomp nodded excitedly, although Garchomp has grown up and matured a little, he is still a child in heart and soul, he is still not very old compared to other strong Garchomps in the wild, they spent their lifetime reaching their stage while Julian's Garchomp was trained by the best and give the best to become what he is.
His mental age is still very young and with the possibility of a new junior who he will teach and looked up by made him excited.
Julian "Now, let's go and check out the last one"
Julian said and sent Garchomp back to his Pokeball and looked at the ancient ruin that he came for, this one looks very different from the ones that are in Black City, this one is not massive nor pleasing to the eye like the ones in Black City.
It looked like a small shrine made out of rocks and a metal gate, the walls of this ruin was covered in plants.
Julian looked at the gate of the ancient ruin which was locked with a massive lock, the size of this lock was bigger than his head, but he was not surprised, the key he received from the village elder was big as well.
He walked towards the gate and opened the lock, it was a little rusty but he tried not to put too much pressure on the key and brake its teeth, the lock suddenly snapped open and revealed the inside of the ruin.
It was very dark and only the entrance was visible as sunlight entered through the gate, Julian tapped his shirt pocket and called out Crystal, Crystal popped its head out and looked around to see what's going on, it had heard Garchomp roar before but it was too lazy to take a look.

It will only come out of Julian's pocket when there is the smell of delicious food or when Julian calls for it, it is slowly turning into a little Snorlax, not growing fat but following Snorlax's method of sleeping and eating all day and Julian can do nothing about it.
Crystal looked at Julian in confusion as it was only darkness that it could see.
Julian "Light it up, there is something exciting inside"
Crystal got excited and floated up and sat on Julian's shoulder and lighted up the area with fire from its tiny hands, Julian was finally able to see what it was like inside this small shrine-like ruin.
He saw some torches stuck to the wall and instructed Crystal to light them up, Crystal quickly lighted them all up as if it is a game, within seconds the whole place was now lit up with light coming from the torches stuck on the wall.
Julian walked down the path and finally noticed something, the end of the path was not actually a dead end with a map like other ruins he saw in the Black city, but he found something completely different.
It was like a small garden with a big tree right in the middle, and on top of that, this tree seems to have pierced through a massive rock and grew this big, this tree is white in color, it's not very big compared to other trees in the forest but its trunk is very thick, three times the size of any tree in the forest.
The top of this place is open so the sunlight is shining very brightly on top of this tree, Julian wondered why this ruin is different from the ones in the Black City, what is so special about it or is it just a coincidence.
If all these ruins were made by the same person, they should have a reason to create this one very different from the other,
As he was thinking about something, he suddenly heard a humming sound coming from behind the tree.

The Sun's Remnant
Two people are transported to a world with magic, but it is no Wonderland. When the god of light died, he decided to take the world with him. At least, that’s what many believe in the Kingdom of Rhine, a once vast kingdom of which only a small corner remains — and even that is threatened. On one side, by the Twisted Forest, a corruption spreading from the deathplace of the gods that has already swallowed up most of Rhine. On the other, by the resurgent Kagrathan Empire, resurrected by the infallible God-Emperor Karlatz. A holy order of knights carry out their mission despite the death of their god. A band of talented misfits prepare for a heist out of their league — by stealing. Mages hunt for secrets even as the world ends. A ruler does what must be done to save the living, no matter the cost. Into this world of magic and murder, two adrift souls are inexplicably dragged: a mother estranged from her young daughter due to her own mistakes, and a young man with a love of fantasy who has gradually drifted away from his friends and family. As they each struggle to find their place in this world, they must also answer the question: do they want one?***Content Warning: I've drafted about 100,000 words (most of the first volume), and there is no sexual content so far, though I may add it in the future. There is occasionally gore and traumatising content as the story demands. I commit to keeping all of the above non-voyeuristic. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
