Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 706

Darumaka was clearly excited about this battle, he didn't even notice the damage his body took after that exchange, he completely ignored it and wanted to continue the battle.
Julian observed the current situation and knew that things might get a little tricky from here on, his Darumaka is not in full health so a straight forward attack is very risky but it is the only way Darumaka cane take down his opponent.
Julian also wondered when Darumaka will evolve so the tides of the battle can turn into his favor, till now the Belly Drum has shown its effectiveness but this cannot continue for longer as Darumaka's health still needs to be considered.
He looked at his Darumaka and noticed how ignorant he is when it comes to his own condition, he just wants to continue and make explosions, Julian smiled and decided to go with what Darumaka wants, he could tell that Darumaka is very close to evolving, maybe this last push is just what he needs.
Julian "Darumaka, let's go, use Focus Punch"
With Julian's call, Darumaka started to collect all his energy into his fist and got ready to hit the Focus Punch.
Elesa also decided to charge her Luxray up for the big battle.
Elesa "Use Wild Charge"
Luxray once again used Wild Charge and charged at Darumaka with full power, it didn't hold back even one bit, Darumaka continued collecting all the energy he could in his hand for the punch.
As Luxray got close, Darumaka went for the punch as well, another head-on collision of two attacks caused the whole battlefield to quake, the cracks appeared on it which spread across the battlefield and then it shattered like glass.
Both pokemons were once again sent backward, both were hurt by this exchange, while Luxray looked ok and fine to continue battling it was not, that Focus Punch was too much for it to handle, same could be said for Darumaka.

He should not be able to take another Wild Charge like that again but he is too excited about this battle and completely ignored the damage to his body, the side effect of the Wild Charge hit Luxray but it still kept its stance and didn't go down.
It can still continue battling.
Darumaka jumped around after seeing the damage he caused on the battlefield, it made his very happy, he looked at Julian and smiled widely while doing a victory sign with his finger, he learned it from Victini who would always do so when it won.
Julian smiled and sighed, he couldn't do anything about his Darumaka, that is when he suddenly noticed, Darumaka started glowing.
Elesa also saw this and was shocked.
Elesa "Another Evolution?"
She asked surprised.
Soon the little Darumaka started to change as his size started to grow, his tiny hands started to grow out of his body and become very massive along with his body as well, his round body didn't change much at all, it just became bigger but now it has massive firey eyebrows.
The light faded away and Darmanitan was in front of everyone.
Julian was excited to see his Darumaka finally evolve into this beast that is in front of him but suddenly something else happened, Darmanitan started to glow as well, Julian was surprised by this at first then he realized what was really going on, his Darmanitan has the ability Zen mode.
Once Darmanitan's health drops down more than 50% they go into Zen Mode, in which their body turns into stone, the effect of this change is drastic as well, Darmanitan's defense and special defense will spike up very high, but the biggest changes will come to its attack and special attack stats.
The power of their physical attack drops drastically which was previously very high and Darmanitan turns into a powerful special attacker with ridiculous Special Attack stats, it also gains Psychic typing, the only drawback of this form is that its speed decreases.

Julian's Darumaka stopped glowing and revealed his Zen Mode, a rock with a face floating in the air, Julian smiled after seeing this, now that the tables have turned, he doesn't need to hold back anymore.
Julian "Let's end this, Darumaka, use Flamethrower"
The stone statute that is Darumaka started to move as a ball of flame started to form right between its sharp jagged jaw, then a massive powerful beam of flame shot at Luxray, blasting through the air, the move was so fast that Luxray had no chance to dodge it.
Elesa "Use Thunderbolt to counter"
Since Luxray cannot dodge, it can only counter it with an attack, Luxray shot the Thunderbolt at the massive Flamethrower, but as soon as the two moves clashed the Flamethrower completely devoured the Thunderbolt and continued towards Luxray and engulfed it as well.
Then came a massive explosion that blew up the already blown battlefield into little fine dust and most of it was completely burnt.
As the dust disappeared, Elesa's Luxray could be seen on the battlefield, fainted and smoke rising off its fur, the battle has ended just like that.

Tainted Reflections (A Litrpg Portal Apocalypse)
Thirty-five years ago, the world ended. A small subsection of humanity was sent to a brand new world with a game-like system that 'ensured' our survival, and the rest simply disappeared. I fought my way to the upper echelon of levels, made and lost friends over the years, and it finally felt like humanity had carved itself a small foothold in this Godforsaken place. Until one final person died. Until the system reset, and took everything I'd worked so damn hard for with it. I found myself staring at a face I barely recognized as my own, and the Earth began to end once again. Updates every day Monday thru Friday.

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!

Supreme Formation Immortal Sovereign
Falling under the Heavenly Tribulation, Ascending Celestial Oalur Kang finds that he's back in the past. Watch him pursue the Heavenly Path of Formations and rise to the peak of the Immortal Path! . . . . . . . . . Hello, this is F-Rank! This is my take on writing cultivation stories. Though I'm sure nobody cares, the intent behind this story was focused on creating a more or less logical cultivation system. I read several stories where the mc transmigrated to a cultivation world (not calling names to avoid unnecessary angst) and was able to completely break the cultivation system and the logic of the world because they had the power of science on their side and were able to think more logically than everybody else. Despite the fact that some characters in those stories were older than the scientific method of thinking and even the human civilization as we know it and the whole society was older than our human race. So I decided to write a story where things about cultivation make sense (as far as a magical world full of super magical people can make sense), so here we are. I don't know if I will be able to fulfil this purpose but I hope that the story will end up enjoyable. Can also be considered a prequel for my other story "Wasn’t my new life in a magical world supposed to be easy?" but has very little overlapping content and can be read as a stand alone story. Also if your feeling like this series is very much like Arifureta, then I'm sorry. Because the beginning of this story will sound very much like that series.
