Julian didn't expect to escape so easily from Glen but he was satisfied with the result, he was able to get back to his hotel room without being noticed by anyone, he checked on Yesh to see what he is doing.

Yesh also seems to be training and this time he wanted to train on his own so he went to the trainer's park nearby to battle other trainers, unlike Julian he doesn't have any fame or record for him to qualify to enter the Battle Institute. ​​

During these days when Julian was not around him, Yesh seems to be learning a lot, he was stuck to Julian and got to learn some basic fundamentals that are needed to become a good trainer but he also needs to observe and learn by looking at other trainers and their pokemon.

Sticking with the same thing won't help at all because trainers keep evolving with time and sticking to the same thing and not evolving along with time will cause them to fall behind.

Julian didn't want to bother with Yesh training so he left him alone and decided to get his badge before thinking about anything else.

As soon as the next day arrived, Julian headed straight to the Nimbasa gym to challenge the gym leader, just like yesterday no one seems to be around the gym, the locals of the Nimbasa gym are too busy with their work that they don't have any times coming here and watching a pokemon battle.

As he entered the gym he saw the gym caretaker standing there doing his usual work, when he saw a man in a blue jacket and a black mask just walked in, he realized it was Julian as the gym leader Elesa had already informed him about Julian's arrival.

Caretaker "Please enter, the gym leader has been waiting for you"

Julian nodded his head expecting that the caretaker knows about his identity and entered the battlefield, when he walked in he noticed that the destroyed battlefield was completely replaced with a new one and this one also seems to be reinforced so that they won't shatter like yesterday.

Elesa had already expected a massive powerful battle so she was ready, as he looked around he someone familiar sitting on the audience seat, it was none other than Glen who he had fooled yesterday and escaped.

Glen "Hey I know you are Julian, you lied to me"

He shouted while pointing at Julian. When he saw Glen he quickly looked away as if he didn't see or hear him.

Seeing that Julian was avoiding him Glen felt frustrated and before he could even vent out his frustration, the gym leader suddenly walked in, she looked a little tense as she saw the person standing opposite to her on the battlefield.

Glen became silent as he knew that the battle is about to start and he cannot butt in now and just decided to watch the battle between Julian and Elesa, Elesa was the toughest gym leader he had battled till now in Unova and he wanted to see how she will perform in front of the trainer that is called the greatest in the generation by many people.

Everybody wants to defeat him but no one has even come close to it, Julian has this massive target on his back but even then no one is able to hit this target, everyone wanted to do the impossible and defeat him making themselves a massive name and also get the title of the Greatest of The Generation that belongs to Julian.

Elesa seemed a little nervous before but she cleared up her mind as soon as she stood on her side of the battlefield, right now she is not a fan but a gym leader who is ready to battle the challenger no matter who this person is.

Elesa "I won't go down so easily"

She said and took out her first Pokeball.

Julian "We will see about that"

Julian said and took out his own Pokeball as well, he liked how confident Elesa is right now even though when he noticed how nervous she was just a few seconds ago, he could tell his identity intimidated her but she is still able to control herself when it comes to her job and Julian respected it.

The referee soon walked in and looked at both trainers and started to explain the rules, it was the same as when Elesa battled Glen, a three on three pokemon battle where only the challenger is allowed to switch pokemon in middle of the battle.

Referee "Both trainers may choose your pokemon"

With the referee's signal, Elesa sent out her first pokemon, Eelektrik.

Julian looked at this pokemon and knew this will be a tough battle for him if he used Darumaka, Eelektrik is the evolved form of Tynamo and they are known for their late evolution, the time they take to evolve from Tynamo to Eelektrik is longer than some pokemon that are able to evolve to their final third stage.

So Julian knew this pokemon that he is going to battle is a very high level one, thankfully Elesa hasn't used a Thunder Stone on it to make it evolve into its final form, she knows that a fully evolved Eelektross is too powerful for a fourth gym.

Julian also sent out his first pokemon, Drilbur.

His Drilbur is very close to evolving, in fact, he has been holding back from evolving into his final state that is Excadrill, he still wanted to refine himself but Julian knew it is time for Drilbur to evolve, sometimes a pokemon can never refine its powers to its best ability in its base form, it has to evolve to continue further.

He wants Drilbur to evolve and this battle should be perfect, in fact, Julian is planning to evolve his Darumaka as well as he has already reached the limit of his fire control, he won't be able to further his fire's power without evolving.

Elesa will be a good challenge for both Drilbur and Darumaka and push them to evolve.
