Julian doesn't know what this pokemon is so he took out his phone and clicked its picture and see what shows up on the internet and he soon found a match, the name of this pokemon is Sirfetch'd, the evolved form of Galarian Farfetch'd.

Julian was surprised to find out about this, all this time he knew that Farfetch'd cannot evolve but it looks like there is a regional variant in Galar that is capable of evolving, he looked more into this pokemon and learned that it loves to fight and will challenge any pokemon that it feels is as strong or stronger than it to grow stronger. ​​

After lots of training and mastering its art, a Galarian Farfetch'd evolves into Sirfetch'd. After reading this he looked more into this pokemon as he got interested, he also learned about these pokemons having ridiculous attack power, this was another surprise for Julian, as a normal Farfetch'd that is found here and other regions he has visited before were mediocre at best, even though he believed that he could train any pokemon into being a strong pokemon.

Farfetch'd was still limited because of their body, it had a low defense, low special attack, low special defense, low speed, the only thing that was not low was its attack but it was just average. If Julian tried his best he could make a normal Farfetch'd a champion level pokemon but it will take very long, he would have to over level it just so that it can keep up with its competitors and other pokemon in Julian's team.

It would have to do double the training compared to all of Julian's elite pokemons.

So he never bothered with one, but this Galarian Farfetch'd caught his interest because it was completely different from a normal Farfetch'd and way stronger and was able to evolve, Julian already decided to catch one when he visits Galar.

Julian put his focus back to the battlefield as Elesa chose her first pokemon as well, she sent out Ampharos, an electric type pokemon, Julian smiled seeing the match up.

None of them had an advantage over the other, it was a battle between pure strength versus elemental power, while Sirfetch'd boasted unrivaled attack power and good defense, Ampharoses are known for their control over electricity and how powerful their special attacks really are, they also have a very good special defense.

This battle totally depended on who would be able to land the better hit on the other.

Elesa was also surprised to see the pokemon that stood in front of her Ampharos but it didn't bother her, her job was to battle anyone that challenges her and then defeat them, that is what the league wants her to do this year for the Unova League.

The battle started and Elesa made her first move and asked for a Thunderbolt, Ampharos shot a powerful Thunderbolt at Sirfetch'd.

Seeing the attack coming towards them, Glen smiled and tightly gripped his fist in excitement and asked his Sirfetch'd to smash right through Ampahros's Thunderbolt.

His Sirfetch'd pulled its massive leek sword back as dark energy covered its leek sword and then swung it right at the incoming Thunderbolt while using Brutal Swing, as the two attacks landed it created a massive thunderous sound and smoke covered the whole area but Julian saw everything and he was surprised by the outcome.

Glen's Sirfetch'd tore through the Thunderbolt as if it was nothing and on top of that its sword landed on the ground and split it into two.

He didn't expect this much power from the little pokemon with a massive sword, it was no wonder why it saw Sirfetch'd boasted ridiculous power, Glen's Sirfetch'd then started to move towards Ampharos and it was quite quick on its feet, not the fastest thing Julian has ever seen but it was clearly faster than its opponent.

Glen "Use another Brutal Swing"

Seeing the threat heading straight towards her pokemon Elesa, quickly made a decision to counter-attack, there was still a lot of space between both pokemon and Elesa knew she can still attack.

Another Thunderbolt charged at Sirfetch'd and the same thing happened, the Thunderbolt got smashed into nothingness while the Sirfetch'd kept moving forward.

Seeing her attacks are not having any effect, Elesa was shocked, Thunderbolt was one of her most powerful moves and her opponent is tearing right through it, and now it is too late to counter with another one because Sirfetch'd is already close to her Ampharos.

Sirfetch'd used another Brutal Swing, aiming straight for Ampharos's head.

Elesa "Use Protect" Ampharos quickly put up and shield in front of it and blocked the Brutal Swing, as the move landed on the Protect, it cracked without any resistance but Elesa got enough time for another attack.

Elesa "Now Thunderbolt"

Ampharos blasted another Thunderbolt straight through the weakened Protect and this time Sirfetch'd couldn't counter it and the attack landed shocking the sword pokemon.

Elesa landed a hit and Sirfetch'd got badly hurt from it.

Elesa "Finish it with Thunder Punch"

A close combat physical move was a good choice here as Ampharos's opponent was dazed by the Thunderbolt but the Sirfetch'd suddenly snapped out and used its leaf shield on its other arm to block the Thunder Punch.

Electricity passed through its body as it defended the move directly but Glen didn't seem to be bothered by it at all.

Glen "Now, smash right through it, use Counter"

With all the damage the Sirfetch'd took, it sent it back to Ampharos with double the amount, its massive leek sword smashed right on top of Ampharos's head and created a massive explosion, as the smoke cleared up, the result was clear.

Elesa's Ampharos's is down and out cold, it couldn't take that much power.

With this first round went to Glen as he still had a big happy grin on his face.
