As Julian has planned he left Striaton city after finishing his usual routine such a feeding his pokemons and doing some physical training to keep them in shape.

Fat pokemons are a thing, people who are not interested in training pokemons keep them as pets and feed them too much without giving them enough exercise so they become fat and grow lazy, some of them become so fat that they need the help of another person or pokemon to move them. ​​

When Julian saw these people and how they are treating their pets he thought about those thick corgi dogs who ate too much and looked even thicker than they look.

So Julian never let his pokemons just sit around idly doing nothing, since they all ate a lot they needed to train a lot, or all them will become thick and Julian will have to abandon them.

Not all of them are like Snorlax, just eat and grow fat while also becoming strong.

Julian made his way out of Striaton City and rode through the route, his destination is Wellspring cave which can only be reached by going through the thick jungle.

After two days of riding and resting, Julian finally came across the path that will lead him to Wellspring cave, this path leads him straight towards the thick dense jungle, as he looked in he could only see darkness as the sun ling was blocked by big trees.

Julian knew once he enters this area he will be attacked by a lot of pokemon, he could, of course, ask his Gengar to scare them off but that may also cause potential pokemons that could be in his team to run off scared by Gengar's aura.

Julian sighed and rode his bike down the rough jungle path, it was very dark but he could see make out the road in the darkness, he still needs light to see and the little amount of light that makes through those thick leaves is very little.

Since he has a very good vision he can handle the darkness but he still has limitations while pokemons are more suited to this environment, they will notice him before he can even sense them.

Julian continues slowly deeper into the jungle while making a very little sound, as Julian expected he encountered some pokemons that jumped out of nowhere to attack him but he quickly got rid of them by using his Garchomp, he didn't catch most of them because they were already old and it's hard to yeah old pokemon new tricks and Julian always trained his pokemon from their starting point or a pokemon that isn't too old to learn what Julian will teach it.

Julian came across a lot of pokemon he has never seen before, he took some time to observe them and see what he can learn from them, how they defend their territory and how they learn to use their moves in the wild without the help of a trainer.

Julian went further into the jungle and he noticed that the number of pokemons he encountered started to decrease while the ones he did encounter were a lot stronger than the ones before, he realized that his destination is getting closer.

He has heard that Wellspring cave has a lot of dangerous pokemons and they are a lot stronger compared to the ones found in this jungle or any other area around it.

After going through many stubborn pokemons that refused to budge from his path Julian finally reached Wellspring cave, he has no idea what type of pokemon he will encounter here, he came all this way to find a good member for his team and if he finds nothing here he would be really disappointed for wasting so much time.

There are more pokemons out there after he passes through Nacrene city, he could have easily trained his Darumaka and Karrablast enough to defeat the gym leader in Nacrene city then continue his journey but he still decided to give this cave a shot.

After seeing so many rumors about powerful pokemon dwelling inside the cave, he couldn't miss this chance.

Julian looked around the area, it was very rocky, there are large boulders everywhere, these boulders seem to have tumbled down from the cliff on the side, Julian noticed a lot of presence near the entrance of the cave, they were all coming from underground.

Julian "This must be a Diglett lair, I have to be careful and not spook them or they will go crazy"

Digletts can be really dangerous if they live in a group, they can easily create a huge pit within seconds to make a person fall deep into the ground with no chance of climbing back to the surface, so explorers always have devices that can tell if there is any Diglett lair around.

Julian tiptoes and enters into the mouth of the cave, he could see a thin water stream running out from the cave indicating him that there is a water source inside this cave.

He bent down and looked at the water and found that it was very clear, but what was most important was that this was drinkable to humans as well, sometimes clear water is not always pure, many people think that clear water is drinkable but it contains a lot of bacteria that can harm humans. Since pokemons have a much stronger digestive tract and immunity to these bacteria they can drink these waters.

It was very rare to find a drinkable water source in the wild, this helped Julian a lot, a clear drinkable water source means a healthy ecosystem was present in the area, which meant there are pokemons, and seeing how rich the environment was, only the toughest of pokemons will have the strength to keep it to themselves and their families.
