Since this is Darumaka's first battle he is a little excited about it. When he saw Ash and Trip have their battle he got excited with all the explosions happening on the battlefield.

He is not eager to have a pokemon battle, he just wants to create explosions like them, Julian still hasn't realized this but when he does he will not know what to think of it. ​​

Opposite to Darumaka is Karrablast, the second pokemon Julian is planning to catch.

Julian "Darumaka use Ember"

Listening to Julian, Darumaka shot an Ember, even though this Ember looks strong it is not, Darumaka knows how to channel fire inside his body properly compared to any other young newborn pokemons, but when it comes to special attack Darumaka lacks power, their species are not really built for Special Attack, they are physical hard hitters.

The Ember shot towards Karrablast but it dodged it easily, the Ember then hit the ground and disappeared, seeing this Darumaka got pissed, not because he didn't hit his opponent, but he couldn't create an explosion.

Julian, on the other hand, thought that his Darumaka is getting pissed for not hitting his opponent.

Julian "Don't worry, continue with Tackle"

Hearing Julian Darumaka leaned forward and started to roll towards Karrablast, seeing this the Karrablast got confused, it didn't understand what Darumaka is doing but it is not stupid to just stand there and take the incoming hit.

Karrablast suddenly used Endure and waited for Darumaka to hit it, as Darumaka continued rolling he got closer to Karrablast and when his legs touched the ground again he launched his body at Karrablast as he went flying towards Karrablast and crashed into it.

After getting hit Karrablast got pushed back, it was hurt but not anything serious, that Endure it used helped it take on the Tackle, Darumaka's are powerful hitters and at their level, it doesn't really make a difference at all.

These pokemons are so weak that one good hit can end it, using Endure was a really good strategy.

As soon as Karrablast regained its footing on the ground it suddenly used Bug Bite on Darumaka, Darumaka got bit as he has nowhere else to dodge.

Darumaka is sent rolling backward but he survived the attack, at the end of the day it was just a bug type attack and Darumaka is resistant to it.

Julian 'This pokemon is really good, it will be a waste for it to spend its life in this forest when it can be turned into a very strong pokemon'

Julian "Ok, Darumaka, playtime is over, use Flame Wheel, walking was not the only thing Julian had been teaching Darumaka, he also thought his how to use Flame Wheel, to Julian's surprise his Darumaka learned the move very quickly.

Seeing a rolling ball of fire approaching it Karrablast panicked, it is not fast enough to dodge this and it doesn't have enough strength to counter it as well, so it decided to take it head-on and use Endure once again hoping it will successfully survive it.

Darumaka crashed into Karrablast and what he wished for finally happened, a small explosion, as the smoke cleared up Julian was surprised as he saw the Karrablast has still not fainted but it was in no position to battle as well, Julian quickly took out a Pokeball and tossed it at the Karrablast, the Karrablast got engulfed by the Pokemon and it beeped three times and finally stopped, the catch is successful and Julian caught his second pokemon in Unova.

He looked at Darumaka and saw his hopping and rolling around happily, Julian thought that Darumaka is happy because he won his first battle but he is wrong, Darumaka is happy because he created an explosion.

Julian didn't say anything and brought his new pokemon out of the Pokeball, Karrablast came out of the Pokeball and looked at Julian who just caught him, Julian realized that he caught another male pokemon but it really didn't matter.

Julian then took out a berry and gave it to Karrablast so he can replenish his energy, Karrablast munched up the berry happily, Darumaka also joined in seeing Karrablast eating berries alone, Julian gave Darumaka a normal berry but he looked at it with confusion, he then passed the berry to Karrablast and looked at Julian again.

He wants the spicy one, the one he had before, Julian sighed, this little one is very demanding, he took out the Spelon berry and gave it to Darumaka who munched it in one go.

Now that Julian caught his second pokemon he headed back to the road and headed towards Accumula town, there should be a pokemon center there where he could give a health check-up to his Darumaka and Karrablast, both are young and they need normal heath checks to know that they aren't suffering from anything serious.

And so a few days passed, Julian reached Accumula town and did a health check on both his pokemons and bought a room in a hotel to stay for the night, since this is not a big city he cannot buy any luxury room for himself but it didn't matter, the hotel he is currently staying in is peaceful and nobody seems to disturb him, just the way he likes.
