After Julian entered the top 8 he walked to the VIP section of the arena to watch the other battles that are going to take place, the second battle is between Paul and some trainer Julian has no idea about.

He carefully watched the battle as he saw Paul wipe the floor out of his opponent once again by just using two pokemons and none of his pokemon were harmed during this battle. ​​

Julian could tell that Paul is a lot stronger than he expected but it's still not enough for Julian to care about.

The third battle is between Brian, another dark horse that people started to notice, his Spiritomb and Dusknoir were very dominant during the whole competition and those are the only pokemon he showed during the whole league.

As the battle started Brian sent his Spiritomb as usual while his opponent sent out a Ursaring, one is a Ghost-type and the other is a Normal-type, both of their type attacks will have no effect on each other, the winner will be decided by the pokemon's moveset and the trainer's skill.

Just like Julian's battle this battle didn't last long as well, Brian's Spiritomb seems to be really powerful, it dealt very serious damage to Ursaring, as it got knocked out the opponent sent a Sableye and Mega Evolved it but it still got defeated after a powerful Sucker Punch and a Shadow Sneak by Spiritomb, by now Brian's opponent had lost all hope as his final pokemon didn't put much resistance at all and got hit by a very powerful Dark Pulse and got knocked out.

Julian knew that if he was not participating in this league, he is sure that the finalist will be Brian and Tobias as they are the strongest but there is still Ash and Paul as they can pull off a miracle by proving their strength.

Just because Julian thinks it might happen, that might not be true at all as he is not a god, he just looked at the two strongest trainers in the current conference and gave his opinion, but as to who would win between them Julian has no idea as both of them have been hiding their pokemon.

If it comes to Darkrai Vs Spiritomb or the Dusknoir, the Darkrai clearly would win as it is very strong but Julian knows that a pokemon battle is not over until the last pokemon is brought out.

The battle ended and Brian moved forward to the top eight of the league conference, he looked at the VIP section where Julian is sitting at and showed his Pokeball at Julian.

Seeing Brian issuing a challenge to him Julian smiled and did nothing, Julian likes being challenged by powerful trainers, he loves battling as much as Ash, well maybe not as much as Ash but its still high and a challenge from a strong trainer is always accepted.

The fourth battle is next and it's Ash Vs Conway, Julian is waiting for this battle as he knows that Ash will start to get serious now, he has been waiting to see how powerful Ash's Pikachu has really become.

To Julian, Ash's Pikachu is more interesting to him than Ash himself, Julian could tell that Pikachu is special. time by time Pikachu has proven that it can defeat a second-grade legendary pokemon under Ash's guidance.

Julian always wondered what if he was the one who trained Pikachu, Pikachu might have become his second strongest pokemon after Infernape, the people in the audience are waiting for the battle to start but before that, the audience has to wait an hour as all the workers need to have their lunch and rest.

This battle will be the final battle of the day as four trainers would join the top 8, tomorrow the top 16 will continue with the remaining eight trainers.

Julian also noticed another person watching Ash train, its the blond kid Barry, his battle in the top 16 will be tomorrow and he seems to be a strong trainer as well.

Ash continued to order Infernape to use Flame Wheel, as Infernape kept using it Julian noticed something and got surprised, he saw a single strand of red spark coming out of the flames.

Julian 'If my hunch is right, Ash's Infernape is very close to mastering Flare Blitz'

Flare Blitz is one of the strongest fire type moves but it also deals recoil damage to the user, its a double edge sword, if one doesn't use it properly they may end up in a bad position, Flare Blitz is also a move that some fire type pokemon learn when they become very strong, from this Julian could tell that Ash's Infernape is very close to the Elite Level, some more intense training for months and it will reach champion level.

Seeing how strong Ash's Infernape really is he thought that Ash might be battling him in the finals this time as well.
