Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 425

Julian's vision changed and he started to see what Gengar saw, it is a long dark path and only a small fragment of light could be seen far away, Gengar approached the light slowly while carefully looking around the surroundings.
He could sense a very sinister aura around this cave and he didn't like it, for some reason he was disgusted by it, Julian could feel Gengar's disgust and this surprised him, what could get Gengar disgusted, even Julian felt something was off about this cave.
Gengar continued to go down the cave as it started to slope down slowly, after a while Gengar finally reached the end of the cave and the source of light was coming from the hole on the ground, Gengar entered the hole and blended into one of the shadows of a pillar that was next to it.
He finally saw a man in a robe in front of a gigantic statue of a pokemon, Gengar has seen this pokemon before, its Giratina's statue.
Julian 'Looks like its one of those ancient temples of Giratina, I didn't expect one to be inside a volcano, from the looks of it, this temple should be very old, how is it still intact, the volcano was said to be active thousands of years ago but it clear that this temple is much older'
Julian thought.
Gengar carefully watched as the man in black robe which had gold markings around it started to do some ritual, he had lots of blood around him, all these bowls of blood seem to be surrounded by a sinister aura and Gengar got irritated by it, he slowly approached the man from behind and went to the side to see what is happening and what he saw caused Gengar to freeze on the spot.

Even Julian felt disgusted by seeing this.
Gengar is looking at a corpse of a Hydreigon that has been cut open from its chest to its stomach, its internals is not present inside its body, but there is something else, a huge dark glowing rock inside it.
The man didn't seem to stop. After he finished his prayer, he started to pore the blood contained in the bowls into the dead Hydreigon's body, the dark rock started to absorb the blood and grew a little bigger than before, the rock seems to be absorbing blood and releasing some kind of sinister energy which was being fed to the dead body of the Hydreigon.
This was sick but Gengar didn't do anything as Julian has still not spoken.
The man stopped his ritual and got back on his feet, he looked at his creating in front of him and started to laugh like a maniac.
High Priest "Hahahahahahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHA, It's finally over, I have created the ultimate weapon, once I have the final ingredient, I will have what I want, the ultimate pokemon and with its help, I will bring Giratina to this world make it submit to me, once it's under my control I will rule the universe, hahahahahahaha"
Hearing this Julian frowned.
Julian 'What does he mean by the ultimate pokemon, don't tell me that Hydreigon is not dead? No, it's certainly dead, it has no internal organs except that dark rock what is that?'
Julian questioned himself.
High Priest "I need to find that cave as soon as possible, will all that blood sacrifice I have done, I am able to create this rock filled with power that the gods themselves used, now I need something that could channel that power and I am certain I will find it inside the cave, hahahahaha"

The High Priest started to laugh like a maniac and didn't notice the change in his surroundings but Gengar and Julian noticed it.
The corpse of Hydreigon, it twitched, suddenly the rock started to glow very brightly but the light then suddenly started to crack and got devoured by a dark light, suddenly the light turned dark and the large cut on Hydreigon started to close up.
Seeing this the High Priest got startled and suddenly realization struck him and he panicked.
High Priest "NO, NO, NO, NO, I overloaded it with life force, it is coming back to life, the ancient magical scripture didn't specify about this at all"
The High Priest backed of scared.
High Priest "This can't be, I still don't have control over it, it will destroy everything"
The High Priest said, he didn't know what to do, the black light was so blinding that everything turned black, even Gengar went blind and he couldn't see anything.
Julian 'What did that fool do?'
Julian thought and got up on his feet.
Julian [Gengar can you see anything, feel anything?]
Gengar [No, I cannot]
Julian 'Shit, I don't know what is happening as I am not there, I have to go there'
He thought and charged towards the cave, seeing one of them rushing towards the cave the guards tried to block him but they couldn't stop Julian.
Julian jumped and grabbed the guard's head and smashed him on the ground and rushed into the cave, he took out a Pokeball and tossed it up in the air, as the Pokeball opened Snorlax came out and landed on the ground.
Julian "Snorlax, don't let anyone inside"
Julian said and disappeared into the cave.
Snorlax stood there confused but since his master said to guard the cave, he will guard the cave, by this till all the members of the cult were alerted, they took out their Pokeball and got ready to bring down the giant.
