Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 368

This Steelix in front of him right now is Gliscor's biggest challenge, even though he has the type advantage against his opponent, the terrain doesn't favor him at all, if he gets hit by an attack he would come crashing down and getting back to air will be hard if the Steelix continue its assault.
But Julian has some tricks up his sleeve so Gliscor just has to trust his master and do as he says till victory is achieved.
Byron "Steelix, use Rock Throw once again"
Byron commanded and Steelix sent more mini rocks hurdling at Gliscor, Gliscor used the same method to dodge the rocks, but it was not over.
Byron "Now use Crunch"
Steelix followed behind the rocks and used Crunch to attack Gliscor who is dodging the rocks.
Julian "Use Counter"
Julian said,
Hearing this Gliscor dived directly into the incoming Crunch while using Counter, his claws glowed and he made contact with the huge dark jaw and shattered it completely, Gliscor is a powerful attacked and when it comes to exchanging attacks he is way above Steelix's league.
Now that the Counter is powered up by taking the exchange, he dived directly towards Steelix and landed his Counter right on top of Steelix head, this caused a huge bang and Steelix was sent back, as the air kicked off Gliscor used it to get higher into the air and stared down on his opponent.
Steelix shook its head and got back into position as it stared at Gliscor, steam is coming off from the top of its forehead after that exchange, thanks to Steelix's high defense it took it like it was nothing.
Even though Steelix is pretending that the attack didn't affect it, it did, that Counter had a lot of power behind it, it is all due to Steelix's ridiculous physical defense that it is able to still be standing there with a normal expression on its face.

Byron "Hmm, Steelix use Smack Down"
Byron gave his command, Steelix suddenly roared and swung its massive tail at Gliscor, the massive tail actually reached Gliscor's level and tried to smack him down on the ground.
Julian "Counter with Brick Break"
Julian also called out a command informing Gliscor form what to do, Gliscor's right claw glows white and he did a side chop at the incoming tail with full power.
The two attacks clashed and this time both of them tied in the exchange, even though Gliscor had more power behind his attack, Steelix's tail had more momentum, the clash created another big bang and sent Steelix's tail, back to the ground crashing and Gliscor flying backward, but with all that shock wave of air hitting the walls of the gym prevented Gliscor from crashing into them as he used his wings to drift with the shockwave and used its rebound.
Julian "Now Arial Ace"
Hearing Julian's command, Gliscor used the drift and dived down using Arial Ace, there is no way Steelix can dodge this attack but Byron is not worried about it because Steelix is resistant to flying type attacks, Gliscor charged with high speed that is blinding to normal eyes, as they can only see a blur.
As Gliscor was about to make contact, he suddenly crossed his Claws waiting for something.
Julian "Now use Brick Break"
With the command, Gliscor changed his attack in a fraction of second, this time both his claws glowed and he landed both of them directly on the body of Steelix.
Steelix suddenly roared in pain and its head came crashing down on the ground, the shockwave this time was far more powerful than before, with all that momentum the two Brick Break's carried from that Arial Ace made its impact, Gliscor used that to distance himself once again from Steelix and went back high in the air and looked down on the fallen Steelix.

Byron was shocked seeing this, he has never seen changing of the move from one to another in a fraction of second, he knows how hard it really is, if that shift of move was not done perfectly Gliscor would have just crashed into Steelix hurting himself, these kinds of attacks are very risky and only trainers who can train their pokemon to the extreme can make their pokemons pull this off, it also showed how much the pokemon trusted their trainer, to wait for the command at the exact moment.
Everything executed right now was perfect, even Byron himself couldn't pull this off.
He looked at Julian and squinted his eyes, no normal trainer can train their pokemon to this skill level, he already knew that Julian is a strong opponent after seeing how good his Luxray was but now he suspects Julian to be even more capable of what he has anticipated.
His Steelix was hurt this time, the attack was very powerful, even with its high defense there is no way it can come out of it unscathed.
Steelix's whole body is humming as it tries to get back its head up in the air, it struggles but finally able to get's it's head straight, Julian and Gliscor could see that Steelix suffered a huge set back here, one more attack at that level and Steelix will come down.
Byron "Steelix, can you continue?"
Byron asked.
Steelix turned towards him and nodded its head.
Byron "Good, let's continue then, use Gyro Ball"
Steelix started to collect metallic energy forming into a ball and shot it towards Gliscor with full power.
Julian "Gliscor counter with Razor Wind"
Gliscor nodded and sent out multiple wind blades towards the Gyro Ball, the two attacks clashed causing a huge explosion and smoke everywhere.
Byron "Now, Smack Down"
Steelix suddenly swung its tail into the smoke and brought it down on Gliscor.
Julian "Watch out"
Julian said.
Gliscor looked around trying to find from where the attack will come but suddenly he felt the wind coming down on him catching him off guard, the tail came smashing down on his head and sent him crashing on the ground.
Bryon "Now let's finish this in one big attack, use Dig"
Byron gave the command.
Steelix suddenly dug into the ground and charged towards the fallen Gliscor.
Julian "It's time, use Earthquake"
Gliscor got back to his feet and slammed his claws down on the ground sending his energy into it causing it to tremor, this caught Byron by surprise, seeing how Julian always tried to maintain distance from Steelix and not trying to take the ground he thought that Gliscor might be a sky attacked, he didn't expect Gliscor to know Earthquake as well.
The tremor caused the ground to split reveling the giant steel snake inside knocked out, that attack caught Steelix by surprise, it didn't even know what happened but suddenly got trashed by the huge thick walls of the ground and got knocked out.
Gliscor got back to his feet and looked at his fallen opponent, this is his first official victory, against someone this powerful.
He felt lucky finding Julian that day in that cave if he hadn't he would have been the same thief of the cave who stole food from trainers who were tired out from all that Zubats occupying the inner caves.

Authority [Dropped]
Notice: Updates are set to every other day. Or to be precise every 2-3 days. Thank you! "The theory of evolution was introduced by Charles Darwin and it baffled the world. Going by the same principle as Darwin's theory all living organisms by nature are capable of evolution to an extent. Evolution in games are always just limited however this is not a game but rather reality. However the only thing that stagnates the whole premise of evolution is the environment. Environment is always the number one factor of evolution. Going by that logic. Stimulation for survival is needed to evolve and better suit the environment. " - Titus
